This particular gem is our large studio condo, J116, (600 square feet interior and 165 sq ft patio) which is very comfortably furnished with a dining suite, a wonderful Cal King bed and lots of room for living. Newer furnishings include the CAL KING SIZE Bed, dressers, end tables, the queen sofa bed, recliner, microwave, range, and DVD. The unit accommodates 2-4 in total comfort and perhaps more.
Air conditioning is provided 24 hours a day if you want it. This resort has a very unique beach cabana that puts it at the top of repeat visitor's list.

Experienced visitors know the Maui Eldorado to be a spacious, quite, and well maintained destination resort on the beautiful North Kaanapali coast. This resort boasts the ONLY private beach cabana in all of Maui! Not a few feet from sand but right ON the BEACH! No rocks, reefs, or lava to get in the way; this is A#1 coral sand that the Royal Hawaiians preferred.
The most lovely white sand beach is there at your leisure just steps away. Many weddings are conducted nearby to capture the beautiful background. The cabana has a full kitchen with towel service and restrooms right there on the coral sand beach so that you enjoy Maui to it's fullest. As a guest you may rent the cabana in the evening for parties or your wedding.

Full floor to ceiling glass sliding doors lead to your sunny lanai with garden and golf course view. The recently renovated bath area includes a huge dressing area with vanity and sink and a separate room for toilet and shower. Kitchen is equipped with full size appliances, including a new glass top range, full size microwave, dishwasher and washer - dryer. Concrete construction ensures quiet privacy.
The Resort provides high speed wireless 802.11b access at no extra cost. Parking is $7 a day in the convenient nearby covered structure.
We have bicycles for your use at no extra charge (compare to $25 per day each from local vendors.) They are provided as-is and you will need to sign off a liability release agreement.
The Resort is situated on the famous North Kaanapali Golf Course, separated from the spectacular sandy Black Rock Beach by the 14th fairway, a distance of approximately 250 yards. A five minute walk from your suite across the golf course to the left takes you to the Sheraton where the daily sunset ritual dive occurs or to the right, the Maui Eldorado Beach Cabana, reserved exclusively for Eldorado guests.
The front desk staff will be happy to drive you to and from the Cabana in a covered golf cart! This is part of the check in fee so use it often. The Whaler Village with fine shopping and dining is about a 15 minute walk. The Maui wide bus stop is at the Sheraton loop just a short stroll away; you can now take a bus to West, central, and South Maui and avoid rental cars!
The property offers three pools, high powered gas barbecues for guest use and of course, the Beach Cabana.
Truly fine dining nearby is provided by CJ's Comfort Zone which is a short walk at the front of the property. CJ's also provides free 802.11g wireless Internet access. Gold's gym is opening a new location on the main road.
An in-house activities desk can help you coordinate all of your outings, from Hawaiian luaus to whale watching, para-sailing when the whales are not around, or reservations at one of the fine restaurants in the area. Ask for Sassy and she can prepare events for you before you arrive. Tell her J116 sent you and get a discount!
If you prefer a quieter day, relax by one of the three pools or grab a lounge chair at the private beach cabana. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the Maui Eldorado or just venture down the beach or road to the always busy Whalers Village and surrounding hotels.
You may review the resort features and compare commercial hotel rates at the Outrigger web site where you find the Eldorado listed as one of their managed properties. Compared to the hotel rates this unit is a bargain; note that you do not get daily maid service, and any problems are handled directly by the site maintenance personnel and not the front desk. Room service is not available.
The owners of this unit are long term Maui residents who will help you enjoy your visit with many local tips and secret locations of special interest.
If you are not familiar with this part of Maui you will be pleased with the micro-climate at this location. Just a short distance to the north it is much more windy and wet (i.e. in Kapalua and Kahana) while Lahaina town is less windy and warmer. In the summer months you will appreciate the air conditioning.
Compared to Kihei, this location is more resort oriented and less congested with traffic and people. The oceanfront walk at Kaanapali is as elegant and beautiful as any on earth! North of Black Rock the beach is stunningly beautiful yet uncrowded.
A free trolley bus will take you along the beach front resorts.
The beach and the Sheraton at Black Rock are about 300 yards away across the fairway and a beautiful lagoon. The Royal Lahaina Hotel is across the fairway to the north. Dining options within walking distance include CJ's Comfort Zone, Tomato Basil, all of the major hotels at Kaanapali, and the Whaler Village shops. |
