Chalet in the Woods, newly built and furnished in Jan 2003, is nestled in the award-winning Cacapon South community near Berkeley Springs, voted "Best Development of the Year" by the West Virginia Homebuilder's Association. The chalet is also minutes from the historic town of Berkeley Springs, where you can partake in its natural mineral baths, local art, and antiques. Nearby, the resorts of Coolfont and The Woods provide a la carte amenities, such as spas, fitness center/gym, indoor swimming, entertainment, sledding, and restaurants.
For ski lovers, the chalet is just a 40-minute drive to White Tail and other ski locations. Other popular sights and activities include the C&O Canal Towpath, Rails to Trails, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon and Potomac River float trips, Civil War Battlefields, and historic Harper's Ferry. The 2500-square-foot A-frame chalet offers three levels of beautiful surroundings and views, with windows spanning all three floors. The top level is a spacious loft, dedicated entirely to the master bedroom with king bed, study/reading area, and private master bathroom, which boasts a Jacuzzi bathtub.
The main level offers an enticing and warm living and dining area, with a fireplace, satellite TV, DSL, DVD/VCR player and stereo. A fully equipped kitchen on the main floor includes a dishwasher and microwave, plus the breakfast buffet area. A gas grill is also available. Through the kitchen you will find a hall to a second full bath and two bedrooms (queen and twin beds).
Downstairs is the family room with another view (sliding glass walkout doors), a 32-inch satellite television, VCR/DVD player, ping-pong table, and queen sofa bed. It still doesn't stop there, because there is yet a fourth bedroom (queen) and full bath in which to spread out, along with washer and dryer for extended stays. |
