About this property

Cozy Mtn Retreat minutes from Sapphire Valley Resort. Renovated. Pet Friendly!

Welcome to Nothi'n But Time your home away from home in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This beautifully updated 2-bedroom / 2-bathroom villa promises to be your new favorite mountain getaway. Sapphire is a hidden gem that’s just a short drive to Cashiers and Highlands. The first thing you will notice upon arrival is the covered sitting area on the front porch. It’s a thoughtful and comfortable spot to sit while taking shoes / boots on and off. Then when you walk in the front door you will see the first bedroom with an amazingly comfortable King-sized bed and full bathroom. Walk up just a few steps to the upper level with the fireside family room, spacious dining room (seating for 6), large deck with new Weber propane grill and the beautiful fully stocked kitchen. We completely renovated the kitchen in early 2024 with a farmhouse sink, an abundance of cabinets, tons of counter space and quartz tops. Heading down to the finished terrace level you will find the “Queen” room with 2 extra comfy Queen-sized beds, sitting area (my favorite spot to read), small desk area, 2nd huge deck and full bathroom with double vanities. Both bathrooms have brand new vanities and sinks. Enjoy the crisp fresh mountain air as you hike the many waterfalls in the area or stroll along the shops. Our villa has everything you would need for cooking in and relaxing. As my guest you may want to enjoy the beautiful Sapphire Valley Resort. The resort offers so many things for kids and adults, just to name a few-indoor / outdoor pool, fitness center, hot tub, snow skiing (winter), concerts on the slopes, private Lake Fairfield (paddle boating and swimming, arts and crafts, 9-hole executive golf course, the areas only public driving range, foot golf, outdoor tennis center with clay courts, pickleball and so much more! Also, the Ingles grocery store is about 10 minutes away and has a Starbucks inside, an extensive wine selection, a great selection of organic offerings, a very nice make your own salad bar and so much more. It’s really a nice store. We hope you enjoy the villa as much as we do! We also have High Speed Internet.
**GOLF so many places to play but for the little ones or beginners check out the Red Bird Links.

Great place
Our trip was great. check in and check out very smooth. Host contacted to ensure we had what we needed. The unit was spotless and detail of supplies was incredible. Furniture and decor was very comfortable. There was a book with resources, it was a big help. Location was great for us. We highly recommend and would stay there again.

Days of Visit 5-31-24 to 6-3-24
Very nice facility and extremely well appointed. Everything is there that you could possibly need. I had one small issue that was more my fault than the facility, and I called the host and it was corrected immediately. Highly recommend. Would stay there again.

Perfect Stay
We had a great weekend getaway. Everything was just as described. Very clean. Convenient location and perfect for our family. We saw waterfalls, shopped, ate, enjoyed swimming and the nearby playground. We would happily return.

Perfect Place in Perfect Location
This property was well appointed, clean, comfortable and in the middle of all the locations we wanted to visit in the Highlands/Cashiers area. We primarily stay in rental properties when we travel. With this property, the owners thought of everything so I suspect they also travel and have a travelers perspective. Bottled water in the refrigerator, several types of coffee makers, large comfortable beds, strong WiFi, menus from local restaurants, all sorts of travel size items in the bathrooms for those of us who forget. Washer/Dryer, blow dryers..... everything those of us who travel can use. The downstairs and upstairs set up was great for anyone traveling with kids or multiple couples. Two large separate porches made it possible for us get up and sit with our coffees in our own space in the morning. We will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful Mountain Condo!
We came up with our 2 grandsons to do Highlands Aerial. The unit is beautifully decorated with everything you need for an amazing stay. The owner was great to work with and provided us with her membership to use Sapphire Resort. We enjoyed playing putt putt golf and they have a fun game room plus a heated indoor and outdoor pool . The beds are comfortable and there’s lots of fun games. There are lots of hiking trails close by and loved visiting Whitewater Falls. We would definitely come back!

Girls Mountain Trip- A Total Gem
I visited this property with two of my girlfriends for a quick 3-day getaway from April 17-19, 2024. We have been going on yearly trips for 25 years together and this one was fabulous. As we drove to the property, we stopped at several of the mountain overlooks to take pictures and take in the beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was how clean and crisp everything was. The owner thought of everything, right down to the coffee with all the fixings. Our favorite spots were the decks where we spent several hours catching up. We did visit the local Market and a restaurant at the resort- Library Kitchen and Restaurant. The Market had a mascot mountain dog named Rex who was incredibly friendly and walked us around as we chose our items. The restaurant was ahhhhmazing! The owner does all of the paintings exhibited, and the staff felt like we were old friends as they assisted with our drinks and orders. The rest of our time was spent in the living room on a comfortable couch that was not the typical wicker/wood rental home type (thank goodness). It was so comfortable and at times, difficult to leave, lol. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend visiting- you won't be sorry!

Sister Retreat Weekend
We had a wonderful Sister retreat weekend in Sapphire, NC. When we arrived Friday night, we went to Hidden Valley Restaurant 1.5 mls from our stay. The food & ambience was excellent. Saturday, we went to Highlands. Ladies, if you love boutiques then this is the place for you. Next, we went to The Vineyard at High Holly and the view was stunning and there were both locals and visitors. You always know that when there are locals visiting then you have went to the right place. We also visited Cashiers and Reclamation Antiques. The amenities were amazing and the host quickly responded to a few questions we had during our stay. You could tell that the host put so much thought into every little detail. The bedding was extremely comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The layout was a split where one bedroom was on one floor and the other below which gave privacy while at the same time still feeling connected. To say that our stay did not disappoint. We will definitely put this VRBO on our list to visit again. If you are looking for a mountain get-away for just a relaxing recharge weekend or lots of Resort activity like golf, swim, putt-putt, arcade, hiking, shopping, wineries and so much more then this is the place to visit and make memories.

A+ all-around!
We had an incredible stay at this lovely property! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The location couldn't have been better –plenty of charming restaurants and shops within a short drive, which made exploring the area a breeze. In addition, the local area is full of great hiking trails. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The place was not only impeccably clean but also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy retreat after a day of adventures. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the comfortable and new furnishings to the thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible communication from the owner. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Furthermore, the place was incredibly well-stocked with all the essentials and more. We were pleasantly surprised to find everything from toiletries to kitchen supplies readily available, making our stay that much more convenient. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a cozy retreat with a fantastic location, excellent communication from the owner, and all the comforts of home, look no further than this spot. We can't wait to come back!

Cozy home with beautiful nature
We had the BEST time staying at High Country Hideaway! It was the perfect getaway for us with our two young kids. All the way home, my two-year-old was saying, “More vacation house, Mommy!” It had everything we needed for a cozy mountain stay. This was our first stay in the south western North Carolina area, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it - it is beautiful! We loved visiting waterfalls in Sapphire, Cashiers, and Highlands. We were even able to sneak down into South Carolina. We didn’t make it to Asheville this time, but we love that it’s close enough to make a quick day trip and will definitely do that next time! We also spent a lot of time at Sapphire Valley Resort. We loved having putt-putt, soccer golf, an arcade, etc. right down the road. One of our best experiences at a VRBO, and we will definitely come back!
