Group Family Roadtrrip

Planned a road trip for three families and stayed at this home. This homeless an ideal location to visit Olympic national Park into single day trips. Lots activities nearby, including Kayaking & water sports. Out kids had a blast! For the adults, the sunrise/sunsets were spectacular from the backyard.

Excellent stay at this lakefront home!

My friends and I rented this property for my birthday weekend and it was a wonderful time! The house is very cute and has a homey feel to it. The views were spectacular, especially when it's a beautiful sunny day.

Beautiful Property

I’ll start by saying it’s a great place to stay and would go back, but I want to give some insight. Good: Such a beautiful location! The kitchen has nearly everything you could need. It’s nice to have kayaks! The rooms are pretty spacious, and beds are relatively comfortable. Bad: Make sure you check if the outlet actually works before leaving your phone to charge, there were many that did not work at all and nearly all were loose so the plug might fall out. The check out process is pretty long and intensive. The inside was clean, however the outside was kinda dirty (outdoor furniture was dirty plus covered in spider webs).

Family trip at Lake Quinault

Our family flew in for a five-day visit. The location on the lake is beautiful and the back patio, grassy area, and lake access were perfect for outdoor activities. We were within driving distance of forest hikes and a 45-minute drive to the ocean.Bedrooms are as listed. There is only one full bath in each house, resulting in waits for showers. Towels and bed linens were plentiful but have seen better days. The interior of the houses was very clean; the exterior was covered in cobwebs. Unfortunately, the luxurious views were not matched by the accommodations; the houses and property are very run down: broken windows and dishwasher, numerous missing lightbulbs, only one smoke detector in each house. There were few window coverings so the morning sun beat into bedrooms. The garage has a pool table but it was unusable with no working lights. Kayaks and life vests are provided but park personnel told us we were supposed to register them before putting them in the lake. Our biggest complaint was how hot the houses were to sleep in. We weren't concerned about no AC because we assumed we could leave windows open at night. However, only two windows on the property had screens and mosquitos eliminated the option to leave windows open without them. The result was very sweaty sleeping. It was disappointing that a property with so much potential is in such disrepair and there is such a lackluster attempt to make guests comfortable. Owner was nonresponsive to messages about concerns.

False advertising

The homes were dirty, the showers only got piping hot, not cold. We fished a mouse out of the toilet and heard mice all over the place. The windows were broken. There were doors that would not open at all. The internet and tvs did not work.

Spectacular Location & lovely stay

Location is jaw dropping. Houses are casual and comfortable for our big group. Enjoyed the kayaks and pool table. Small market close by for basics. A little short on plates and wine glasses, but a memorable stay. Recommend

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our stay here. It was for a very small wedding and fit us perfectly. Two complete houses and a garage made for plenty of space. Make sure you shop before you get there. Not a lot of options, but we went for the lake and the park. The property and the view did not disappoint.

Beautiful location

This is such a lovely location. With age ranges including infants, kids, teens and adults it was really convenient to have the lake so accessible and really pretty quiet and private. In our 4 days here we rarely saw anyone else on the lake. The property itself comfortably fit out large group. The extra garage/pool room hang out spot was a huge perk for the teens. The house(s) have some run down parts (broken drawer, toilet that gets stuck, strong moth ball smell, cobwebs) etc, but nothing that some maintenence can't address. Overall it was nice and fairly clean. We would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful.

The entire thing was just gorgeous. Plenty of room. Beautiful views from every room. I will say the house is old and has some of that, “charm”, and to consider that when heading out. We were there on hot days and the house has nice windows and doors to creat good air flow. All the bed rooms are up stairs and that meant that the rooms were really warm. They had some fans, and we were able to stay comfortable, but more fans would have been helpful. Also the master bath tub is very nice, but theres not enough hot water to fill the tub, and we had to stagger showers. Again, an older house. We will most definitely be staying here again. It was just perfect. Thanks to the host who had it clean, with plenty of extra blankets, and towels.

Wonderful family getaway.

We had 3 generation, 12 people, week long stay. When we arrived the house was clean and looked exactly as we had expected. As with any house surrounded by trees, water and wildlife (rainforest), cobwebs appeared over the week which we just brushed away. We were slightly concerned about bathroom availability but were happy to find that both houses had a toilet and sink upstairs with the bedrooms and, a full bath downstairs for showering. Plenty of common space for everyone. We spent nearly all our time outside. When we weren't actively adventuring we stayed outside on the beautiful deck. Kids kayaked, swam, built forts with drift wood, played pool and tracked the bald eagles. Bring food and drink with you. Nearby resupply is limited but had essentials, e.g. milk, ice etc. Would do it again!

We left pieces of our hearts here!

There aren’t enough words to accurately describe how this place made us feel. When my partner and I arrived first we were anxious to see the property and once we stepped foot into the homes we were amazed beyond comprehension. The layout and view took our breath away. I’m the morning when the rest of our party showed, we all took our time exploring the property and taking pictures of the lakeside and mountains. We all enjoyed every bit of our trip and did not want to leave. It was so hard saying goodbye to this property. Not only was the stay absolutely amazing, but the communication was as well! The owner never missed a beat when it came to responding to my questions and was willing to work with us with our concerns and went out of his way to help us try to find places for food and whatnot. My partner and I will definitely be booking here again hopefully next year because it was a dream come true being here. It’s safe to say that if you are looking for a quiet place to just enjoy what nature has to bring, in the company of great family or friends this is the place for you!

Very poorly maintained property

We have been renting houses for so many years now. Never have we experienced such inconvenience ever. However much we love the view from the house and waking up to these lovey surroundings, the stay inside has not been at all convenient. Right from missing toiletries to leaking roofs, to no wood, to dishwasher not working, to the outside heater without any gas!!! The patio, the front entrance everything was full of leaves to the point that it was hard to find the pathway and walk around. The house says good for 20 people but have limited serveware for an even of a group of 8 people to eat together. No lights in garage. Bathroom fans not working. Even after regularly sharing our concerns with the property manager no action was taken during our stay. Rather he asked us to go to store and get the propane cylinder filled. I am sure he must be forgetting that we rented the property to relax and spend time with friends. There was no apologies or even a little sense of empathy towards the inconvenience a customer is facing during their stay. I personally not a big believer in giving bad reviews. I understand there are quite a lot of things here which could have been taken care of with a little bit more thought. I highly not recommend this property.

Family vacation

All 16 of us enjoyed our 3 nights on the lake. Fabulous patio, comfortable beds, great location in the rainforest. Kitchen in the 2 bedroom house was adequate for several to prepare meals and had a dishwasher. Those in the 3 bedroom found kitchen small. We made it work out. Wonderful experience.
