Medrose is a simply stunning property, one of the most beautiful homes in the area.
The accommodation comprises of five bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. There is an extensive open-plan living space leading out on to to a decked sun terrace with a view of the estuary, not to mention the huge games room equipped with table-tennis, table football and a Pool Table, Sky TV, DVD and 60 inch TV for when the weather becomes inclement.
A Urban Cedar hot tub and outdoor shower has been recently installed.
It has a self contained Garden that is suitable for children and pets.

The house is located in a very convenient area in Rock for family living and is situated less than half a mile to the nearest beach and local amenities. Rock and the neighboring towns offer fantastic indoor and outdoor activities for all the family.

Had no idea we were checking in, turned up to a builder on site. House uncleaned. Hot tub not cleaned. Games room poor condition. Pool table and cues broken. Hot tub was cleaned and only worked 24hrs. Was not fixed for us. Really really poor Easter holiday

Best new year trip

We had a fabulous stay at Medrose. Location was great for a walk down to the beach, cafes and ferry to Padstow. Even our children 10,6,5 managed to do it with ease. A well equipped kitchen. The only thing that was that there wasn’t an empty cupboard to put food away. The fridge, I need one in my home. Great size and having extra wine fridge, and mini one in the study was great for drinks, Every spacious house. Games room was a fabulous touch. Decent utility. Having extra toiletries in bathrooms was a nice touch.Bedrooms are all a good size and great sleeps all round.Again thank you for having us.

Family Break in Rock

My family and I recently stayed at this beautiful property which had ample room for the 10 of us. The property was clean and the area was very nice to stay in. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing break away. Thank you!

Nice stay

We had a lovely time in the property with our friends.. But I do feel that the bathrooms needs a little TLC, from shower doors sticking/ bracket on slides broken/ door to bathroom sticks..

Family get together

It is a lovely home in a beautiful location with wonderful views of the estuary. Sadly the weather was cold, windy and wet on occasions which spoilt the experience a little. Still managed lots of walks and a couple of visits to the beach and the older grandchildren enjoyed surfing on Polzeath beach. Luckily the house had a great games room which was much enjoyed by the young ones. Had several ferry rides over to Padstow which were fun.

A lovely family Christmas get-away.

Great location and facilities for a lovely Christmas getaway. 11 adult sized people enjoyed the space and comfort of this property. Bedding and bedrooms were super comfy. Great space for dining and cooking, with an amazing view! Nice to have a games room, although the pool table was in very poor condition. Table tennis and football table were great fun.

Superb location

The house is stunning and it is huge! It was very clean and had all the items you need for a comfortable stay. It’s location and proximity to the beach was perfect. Some of the house is looking a little tired and we were disappointed that you couldn’t enjoy a view from the decked terrace like in the photographs, due to next doors hedge being so high that it completely covered the glass balustrade, blocking the sea view which was a shame as it was one of the things that attracted us to the house. We loved the games room, the hot tub and the laundry room was huge with great appliances. All in all a great house in a great location!

Family Holiday

We were a party of 6 Adults & 4 children aged between 10-15 years. The house was very spacious & had all the essentials you need to have a lovely holiday. Great location, right near the gorgeous beach. A great holiday had by all, would definitely book again.

We were five couples who rented this house over a bank holiday weekend in order to attend our friends daughter’s wedding in Rock. The location for us was spot on and I cannot tell you his much we enjoyed our stay. The property is so well appointed with everything you could possibly want, apart from a missing corkscrew which must have been inadvertently removed. Thank you so much to the lovely owners who allowed us to visit their very special place.

House is nice and in great location, although looking a bit scuffed/tired in areas. It has an upside-down set up, so great beach views from the kitchen and lounge. We had some tech issues with patchy Wi-Fi and downstairs TVs and gaming equip not working. The agent came out every day to try and solve these issues, but with limited success. We were also told by the agents ahead of visiting that there would be a way to play music in the house, but there wasn't, so they bought us a basic speaker. That was all odd and a bit of a shame. We are currently in dispute with the host on these issues and allegations the host has made against us (including not emptying the bins before leaving, and scuffs on the pool table which must be years old and categorically nothing to do with us!) we are waiting on VRBO to help resolve these problems, it's not something we've ever come across before. In conclusion: good house in need of some improvements, host quite difficult, but great location.

Stunning house . But wheelchair access is only to bottom of house which is bedrooms and games room only . Not suitable for wheelchair bound or limited walking . But the house and facilities are excellent

Lovely house, beautifully located

This property was really suitable for our group of nine adults celebrating a 40th birthday. Good walking distance to the local pubs, restaurants & ferry to Padstow. Lovely decorated to feel homely & comfortable.

Beautiful house, fabulous location

The whole family, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. The location couldn’t be better, with restaurants, shops, beach and Padstow ferry all within walking distance. The home itself is beautifully presented , spacious and thoughtfully resourced with an incredible games room and stunning terrace. Our family of three generations all had plenty to entertain themselves including a very well equipped kitchen, sky sports, hot tub, outside dining area as well as exploring the picturesque local area. We would highly recommend booking 4 Medrose.

Half Term Escape

This house fitted the holiday brief perfectly. We all had perfect space to relax and the children were very happy with the games room. Hot tub was popular too although some jets did not appear to be working! We popped the bikes under the deck to store during the day which was brilliant. One suggestion would be a little gate at the top of the outside steps as there were a number of escapes so we needed to fashion a barrier of sorts to stop this. A great property for larger groups. Everyone felt like they were sleeping on clouds.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I decided we would choose 4, Medrose, Rock, to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We invited our son and daughter and their families. There was a total of 9 of us with an age range of 75 to 3 years of age. The property was even better than the excellent description and the glowing reviews posted on the VRBO Site. It was large enough to cope with our family group. It has an 'upside-down' layout with some of the bedrooms and a large impressive games room downstairs and the living facilities and 3 bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen and living room has large windows with doors facing south opening onto a large terrace with seating and dining facilities and extensive views over the Camel estuary across to Padstow. The property was spotlessly clean with a welcome package of groceries and sparkling wine which must have lasted all of 30 minutes. I have to say the management company Pure were excellent and answered all our queries promptly and efficiently. We found the location to be excellent. We were within walking distance of beaches, local restaurants and hostelries and the ferry crossing to Padstow. I can thoroughly recommend Medrose 4 to all. Thank you David for letting us use your property for our celebrations.

A great venue.

Having seen the photos of the property, we were expecting a high-class property. We weren't disappointed. Everything was first-class and we didn't want for anything. Tongue in cheek "could you bring the beaches a bit closer"?

Very spacious house with living split on both levels suiting all groups. Great layout with bedrooms on both floors giving space and privacy to all.
Great games room with Table Tennis, Poole table and Table Football - enjoyed always by everyone.
Large deck area with high spec furniture and BBQ area.
Kitchen has 2 separate ovens, 2 freezers and 2 fridges for large groups.
Outdoor hot tub
Set off main road so Surreal quiet at night with no road noise.
We allow dogs.
4 single bed room - all love it

Medrose Rock has offered us a fabulous group holiday home for the past two years. The property is outstanding, with an ideal mix of space, games, great views and easy access to nearby beaches and facilities. The house is well equipped, clean and beautifully presented. We are a mix of young children, teenagers and adult family members and everyone had all they needed - and more - whatever the weather!
