>>> BEFORE CHOOSING PAM'S PALM PLACE, we strongly encourage you to read the entire description of things you should know about our little condo.<<<
>>> WHAT IS PAM'S PALM PLACE?
Pam's Palm Place is part of Beacher's Lodge condo complex located on St. Augustine's Crescent Beach, or as the locals call it, South Beach--just ten miles south of the old town of St. Augustine, the oldest city in America.
Although Beacher's Lodge was built in the '80s and many of the condos have never been updated, that's not the case with Pam's Palm Place. We recently spent over $35,000 updating this unit with new electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets, quartz countertops, appliances, tiled bath and shower, leather living room furniture, mattress, TV, kitchenware, and patio furniture. We've been told by several employees at the complex that we have the nicest unit in the entire complex. We're certain you'll love what we've done with the place. We strive to give you a 5-star experience.
This condo is small--only 400 square feet. We don't want you to be caught off guard by the size. We have, however, maximized the layout to make it feel roomy. It is on the first floor and conveniently located in the middle of the complex giving it great access to the stairs, handicapped ramp, parking, pool, and beach access. The best part about being on the first floor is the patio. You still have an ocean view, but you don't have to look through the railing when you're on our patio, and it feels private--as if you're the only ones there. Even though it's on the first floor, you can feel safe because the lower level of the complex is fenced in.
>>> CANCELATIONS:
We don't want anyone to be caught off guard, so please make sure you read and understand the cancellation policy below:
- All or part of reservation rents/fees/deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of arrival.
- We encourage guests to purchase optional travel insurance offered by VRBO.
- Refunds are not extended for injury, medical or health concerns, loss of income, inclement weather, hurricanes, oceanic disturbances, terrorism, etc. The owners will only refund rents/fees if there is a mandatory evacuation and beaches are closed to our guests.
>>> PETS:
Sorry, NO PETS ALLOWED. Pam suffers from severe allergies, and therefore, we can not allow pets inside our rental condo. Sorry, I like my wife more than I like your pet.
>>> BEDROOM:
The bedroom has a queen storage bed along with a small closet area and TV. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan and its own AC. When the weather's nice, you can open the bedroom window and the patio door and enjoy the ocean breeze.
>>> LIVING ROOM:
The living room is furnished with a full-size sleeper sofa, TV, and small dining table. There's also a leather recliner so you can kick your feet up and watch the shrimp boats on the horizon while dozing off for an afternoon nap.
>>> KITCHEN:
The kitchen has lots of cabinet space to store your food supplies. We furnish cookware and all the utensils you need to cook and feel at home, including a microwave/convection oven, two-burner glass cooktop, blender, toaster, and coffee maker that uses grounds or K-cups. There's also a starter supply of coffee, paper towels, and everything you'll need to wash the dishes before you check out.
>>> BATHROOM:
The bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling and is absolutely stunning. The unit does not have a bathtub. It does, however, offer an easy-in, easy-out, step-in shower. We supply four bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, a starter supply of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, Kleenex, and a hairdryer.
>>> PATIO:
Sip your morning coffee and watch the sun come up in one of our top-of-the-line Adirondack chairs, or work on your tan in the lounge chair with an ottoman. And there's no need to spend money on beach chairs and umbrellas because we provide them for you.
>>> POOL/BEACH:
The automated VRBO description says our unit is a ten-minute walk to the beach...this is false... it takes less than 2 minutes. The boardwalk to the beach is at the south end of the complex between units 107 and 108. Pam's Palm Place is unit 118, so we are just steps from the beach and even closer to the heated pool. Crescent Beach is considered by locals to be the most peaceful beach around. The beach is very spacious, and as the tide goes out, it leaves behind a giant natural wading pool.
>>> LAUNDRY/ICE
Our condo does not have a washer/dryer inside the unit. However, there are coin-operated laundry rooms on both the south and north ends of the complex. This is also where you'll find the ice machines.
>>> RESTAURANTS/GROCERIES:
You will love the location of this unit. There are restaurants within walking distance and another 30 or so along the five-mile drive into St Augustine proper, including the popular Salt Life, Oasis, and Sunset Grill. There is a convenience store one block away where you can buy fuel, snacks, beer, and wine, plus there's a Dollar General one mile from the condo. Publix and Wynn Dixie are about 4 miles down A1A.
>>> ATTRACTIONS:
St. Augustine is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in all of Florida, and with more than 100 restaurants to choose from, there's something for everyone's taste. Shopping is never boring on the streets of Old Town. It's part of the draw to our city. Of course, there are touristy things galore. But don't forget that St. Augustine is the oldest city in America, and that means history.
