Smokies Sanctuary is a beautiful, true log cabin bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which allows for privacy and great wildlife viewing. This cabin is easily accessible yet offers wonderful views of the woods, mountains, and valley. With this tranquil location, it’s hard to believe how convenient it is to all the excitement of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Townsend and the entrances to Metcalf Bottoms and Cades Cove in the park are also just minutes away.

In addition to its fantastic location, Smokies Sanctuary is so wonderfully decorated, furnished, and equipped, you may not want to leave the cabin.
Each side of the three-sided covered wrap-around porch offers different great views, which can be enjoyed from porch swings, rockers, a log table with benches, and/or the fantastic large hot tub! In the yard, you’ll find a park-style grill, a firepit with a grate, a picnic table, various mature hardwood trees, and plenty of room for the kids to burn off some energy. Inside, you’ll be impressed by the hand-hewn log beams, soaring cathedral ceilings, large picture windows, stacked stone gas fireplace, Aspen log furniture, fantastic decor, and plenty of in-cabin entertainment. The main floor includes the living room, two king-size bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower and tub combination in the front bedroom and one with a shower close to the back bedroom), kitchen, and dining room.

Upstairs includes the remarkable large master suite with soaring ceilings, hand-hewn beams, wood floors, an Aspen log four-poster king-size bed and furniture, a beautiful dormer sitting area, lots of windows, and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub, separate shower, enclosed toilet, and double sink vanity. Also upstairs is a gorgeous loft recreation room that has a pool table, an air hockey table, and plenty of comfortable seating with wonderful views of the woods and Little Round Top Mountain.

The living room and all three bedrooms are equipped with Smart TVs that allow you to stream movies and shows from your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, or other accounts as well as watch live cable TV. Each of these rooms are also equipped with a Blu-ray, DVD player, and/or a VCR. There are movies, books, board games, and card games available for your enjoyment during your stay.

In addition, Smokies Sanctuary offers ample parking, ramp access to the main level, a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, free WiFi, and unlimited local and long distance phone calls within the U.S. and Canada for your convenience.

With your reservation, enjoy FREE Tickets to Paula Dean's Lumberjack Dinner Show, Wonderworks, Smoky Mountain Observation Wheel, NASCAR Speedpark, Rocky Mountain Coaster and Skyland Ranch as well as Exclusive Discounted Tickets to Anakeesta, Hatfield & McCoy, Dolly's Stampede, Comedy Barn and more.

An amazing stay overall .
We loved our 5 day stay in the smokies sanctuary cabin ! Driving distance from all the best places ! Only complaint we had over the entire trip was we wish the wifi in the cabin would have had better connectivity . ( our cells barely had service in the mountains & we actually needed it )

Deeply disappointing
The cabin was filthy; cobwebs everywhere, stained couches, chairs and floors, dirt in corners, screens were torn and screen door slams every time you go in or out, the windows were so filthy you could barely see outside, the kitchen equipment was horrifyingly non existed (ANYTIME WE HAVE STAYED IN A CABIN VIA VRBO/AIRBNB THERE HAS BEEN ADEQUATE PANS AND UTENSILS), the driveway was so overgrown that my car now has scratches on the side from simply going in and out, the pull out be upstairs is broken and the mattress stained with God knows what. The photographer did an outstanding job taking pictures of this property - it looks nothing like the photos.

Lovely home, no heat/not recently cleaned
The home is very nice, but when we arrived there was a problem with the heat (29° outside, 47° inside). This took a full day to resolve of our 3 day trip, with me asking for updates a few times during the day. The local representative responded at 8 pm on the 2nd day of our trip stating they couldn’t respond to our “maintenance request” until the next day. So if I had not requested an update from the national rep, we would have had 2 nights with the home at 47° (we did get the home up to 50° the first night using space heaters in the home and the fireplace that was on an hour timer). There are other maintenance items needing to be fixed as well (hot tub is hot, but jets/light didn’t work, coffee pot never started, WiFi needed to be rebooted everyday as it continually lost connections). Master tub had dead bugs (multiple large bugs) in it showing it had not been cleaned recently. If the home was maintained better, it would be a truly relaxing experience. Unfortunately for us it was not.

Worst experience renting a cabin
So when we got there the driveway was covered with leaves so bad that we almost did not make it up the driveway. Then once we got up to the top could not tell where the driveway ended and I actually drove off the end of the driveway. Once we got inside Cobb webs hanging in doorways and lights. Closet doors were broke and did not stay closed. Toilet seats broke and the toilet paper holders were broke. Leaves covered up the back deck. So many leaves could not use the fire pit. Grill was full of used charcoal. Hot tub smelled like it had dead fish in it. Called and called and finally after about 3 hrs of calling someone showed up. But I am still waiting on the property manager to call me. I called on 11-4 and checked out on 11-6 and no has still yet to call.

This property looks amazing in the pictures but it is not!
We were super excited to stay in this beautiful cabin listed on VRBO but when we arrived it didn’t take long to realize the pictures were misleading. The whole house was so dusty you could write your name in it, cobwebs are hanging on all the beams, there’s mold on the shower doors, the hot tub was disgusting and not working properly, the laundry door was broken but stood up so it appeared intact. You could tell no one had prepared the cabin for renters. I will say that the management company did send maintenance to fix the hot tub, dust and vacuum the following day, but the dust job was comical as they only dusted the objects I sent pictures of. There was still dust under the lamps on the shades, and you could clearly see where they dusted around objects instead of removing things and getting it completely clean. The cabin is older and needs a remodel but if cleaned properly with working appliances it would still be good. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is lovely.

Cozy Cabin
This was exactly what we were looking for in our family holiday getaway. The home was a perfect fit for 3 couples. We had plenty of room to all get around, the family room area was comfy and cozy by the fireplace. Due to rainy weather we weren’t able to use the hot tub, but it was big enough to satisfy if we could. Would come back again

Rustic bear themed
Beautiful home. Loved the ruff cut beams and bear decor. However, it made for a pretty dusty place and allergies flared up for a few of us. Our plans were to watch the TN/GA game if we couldn’t find tickets. The router was not able to support the tv and times out throughout the game. We still had a wonderful time and loved how each room had king beds.

Comfortable Stay
My only complaint about our stay is the kitchen. The lack of supplies made it very hard to cook an adequate meal. The home was clean for the most part, a few cobwebs here and there. Overall it was not a bad stay, albeit a bit expensive.

Lovely location and plenty of space both inside and out
We just finished our second stay at the Smokies Sanctuary. We love the shops and restaurants near the cabin as well as the location about 15 minutes or so from the strip. The cabin has plenty of room and privacy for our family of 5. We all enjoyed the pool and air hockey tables in the game room as well as the hot tub, fire ring and spacious deck. The cabin could use a deep cleaning and some updating as well as a restock of the kitchen items available. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

My 50th Birthday Get Away
This was a great get away with my family for my 50th. Very quiet and not too long of a drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. A great Moonshine Distillery 5 minutes up the road and a great Italian restaurant just a far. Drive way was a little steep but made it up there just fine anyway.

Property is very poorly maintained.
The properry is not managed. We were not able to access the cabin for the first two nights because of icy and incredibly steep driveway. We. were promised by the management company that the manager would help. After 3 days he didnt even call us. Supposidly he was snowed in when the whole area was fine. Kitchen was dirty and ill equiped. No hot water in the kitchen where the faucet is broken. Pots and pans from the early 70s and dirty. No large pot to even make a soup or stew. Upstairs (master) shower is broken. And we wcould keep going on ... VRBO was also not helpful at all. Even when we called amd told them we were stranded in the area with nonaccess to the cabin and no place to stay nearby. Basically they charge you to put you in contact with people and then tell you to manage on your own ... a disgrace.

Property Maintenance and Kitchen Supplies were less than acceptable - would not recommend.
Property is Poorly Maintained. Kitchen faucet is broken. Blinds are bent. Cobwebs and dust and mice! Old Appliances. Roper stove heats unevenly. Burners have hot spots. Wallpaper peeling. Floor to Ceiling windows in game room are so dirty you can't see out of them. Kitchen has very few or poor quality supplies. No can opener. No knife bigger than a 2 inch paring knife. No mixing bowls or serving bowls. Old tupperware in the cupboard was DIRTY! No measuring spoons. One - 1 cup - measuring cup. One dishtowel. Some of the pans were rusty, others had burnt food on them. The charcoal grill is about 12" x 12" - maybe good for hot dogs. Air hockey doesn't work rigth. Pool table isn't level. Light bulbs were burnt. There are these little green evergreens with christmas light everywhere as decoration - NONE of the lights work or can even be plugged in. Decks have not been cleared of leaves or branches in a while. Cushions on dining room chairs are torn and stuffing is exposed. No welcome book. No instructions on what to do when you check out. In general, this property was a big disappointment. Very poorly maintained and supplied - especially for the cost!

Amazing place to tour and see all the sites.
The cabin is great , very beautiful, not very clean in side cobwebs everywhere , baseboards so dirty, broom is not even a broom , the big windows are great if you could see out of them , grass needed mowed , property needs maintenance, glad we didn't bring kids, shows pictures of gas grill but no grill . Fire pit but no wood for it. There could have been more amenities, coffee pot but no filters, has a hot tub but it doesn't light up or jets don't work .just needs a little TLC!!! Cabin is beautiful and we would come back again .

Nice cabin
This is an older cabin but still very nice. The only complaint I have about it is the master bedroom is huge but the shower is very small and the toilet is in a closet and is very narrow and small. The other two bathrooms are good sized. It’s in a very nice neighborhood but once you go up the driveway it’s like it by itself. I would rent this cabin again.
