Five star three bedroom at the Fairways at Mauna Lani fall sale
The space
Our three bedroom corner townhouse has a private first floor master furnished with a California King bed and office space. We are located a short walk to the famous Fairmont Orchid Hotel. The hotel's five restaurants can be used by the public. If you drive down for a meal they offer complimentary valet parking.
The beach at the Hotel is "Kid Safe," ; it is protected by a reef which also provides an excellent place for snorkeling. The Beach is open to the public, as are all the beaches on the island. The hotel features two beach side bars just steps from the ocean, providing the perfect place to watch the sunset and count the green sea turtles that come upon the beach to rest for the night. They are protected so you can look but do not touch.
A short drive away is our private Beach Club with its own restaurant and bar. Surf boards, stand up paddle boards and snorkel equipment can be rented for reasonable fees. A reef just to the left of the fine sand beach is great for snorkeling and is just steps from all the other beech fun.
Just down the street from the Villa are the "Shops at Mauna Lani" including a full service grocery store priced for and used guests and locals. Fine dining restaurants including Ruth Chris And Tommy Bahama are in this same plaza. Shops that feature Island Coffee and Smoothies made from local ingredients are also located here.
Stop by on Thursday and check out the schedule for the free Polynesian cultural shows. The Thursday evening show features authentic performances showcasing Polynesian culture. You could even get picked to show your own hula skills.

The villa is a five-minute drive to six award winning golf courses and the best sandy and protected beaches in Hawaii. Hapuna has-been voted "Best Big Islands Beach" and is only a fifteen minute drive away.
Drive ten minutes in the other direction and you will find your camera for photos that look like they came from a postcard. Probably the most photographed Beach on the island This beach is known by locals and visitors as A Bay at waikoloa.
Varied shopping and dining can be found at the King's Shops the Queen Market Place and at the Marriott Hotel just before you get to A-Bay.

We are from the Chicago area. We split our retirement time between Chicago, Walnut Creek in the East Bay and here on the Big Island.
Why they chose this property
We walk to world class resorts, shopping and dinning and live in a lovely park like setting just steps to the pool but far enough away that we don't hear others having fun.
What makes this property unique
Our Windows and Lanai are surrounded by a wall of baby palm trees that filter the light coming in and at the same time provide privacy. Just past the palms is a three acre park like setting with beautiful flowers on a tree lined path that leads to the pool and to the hot tube. We are close to the pool but never hear the pool activities as the pool is blocked by other units in our building.
Access to our gated private beach club is included with your stay and is only a short ten minute drive. Here you will find a white sand beach in a protected cove ideal for Children. Lots
There are lots of beach chairs and even some cabanas that are assigned daily on a first come first serve basis. Bring a picnic lunch or dine in the private on site restaurant with world class views serving fresh island meals at reasonable cost.
There is a beach house where you can rent bigger beach toys; surf boards, stand up paddle boards and kayaks. (Instructions Included) There is also a concession that arranges dive tours that leave from our beach.
While you are at the beach club be sure to wander back a few steps to the paths that wind through the fresh water ponds and gardens leading to the secluded beaches and the beautiful Mauna Lani Hotel
with its fine restaurants and world class gardens.
If you would play tennis you start your day with a low cost tennis clinic at the Fairmont Orchid. To make arrangements call the hotel ask for the tennis provilian or stop over and ask for Rudy and tell him you are friends with Sue Ann from Chicago. Rudy also has Bikes for rent.
There are free Polynesian shows nearby. Monday and Thursday offer authentic productions featuring local dance companies at the mall in back of the foodland. Thursdays feature the dangerous fire dance as well as Hula performed by local dance clubs. Times are posted at the foodland and do change from time to time.
Just two miles to the south Is the famous Waikaloa Resort with Two full service Malls
