About this property
Beachfront property, 180 ocean view, fireplace, and private path down to beach.
Old-time 1970s beach cabin with fireplace and 180 degree view of Netarts Bay, Pacific Ocean, Three Rocks Wildlife Refuge, Cape Lookout, and Netarts Spit.
Not prettified or standardized, this cabin is designed for the ocean experience, winter or summer. From the fireplace or deck--or from your bed--watch seals and herons on the end of Netarts Spit.
No other houses block your view. The property borders the sand. Your private path winds through pines and huckleberries to the driftwood and sand.
According to one reviewer, the cabin exemplifies the Danish word, "Hygga," --the quality of coziness, solitude, comfort, and contentment. Pick huckleberries outside the kitchen door, September-October--or crabs and clams from the bay.
Kitchen is equipped: refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, wine & cocktail glasses, and gadgets; stocked with basics for cooking: spices, condiments, sugar, pots, pans, cookie sheets, etc. No frills but all you may need.
Grocery and restaurant within seven minute walk--by road or beach.
Bedrooms:
South Bedroom (1 double, 1 queen sofa bed),
North Bedroom (1 queen)
Bedrooms are at opposite ends of the Common Room.
Sheets are 100% cotton.
Communucations:
WIFI signal is strong for wide bandwidth communications.
Landline--remember the sweet sound?Roku TV.
Water:
No need to bring bottled water! Netarts' water is pure and cold and tastes good!
Parking: Covered carport for one car; street parking for more.
Common Room: Fireplace (kindling supplied), Dining table (6 chairs), leather couches, rockers, and a selection of reading lamps.
Deck: (20' x 12') overlooking beach, table and chairs (4) and recliners (2).
Beach toys: A selection of children's toys, and various crab and clam catching devices.
County boat ramp is 1000 feet to south.
Watch the tide tables!

About the host
Hosted by Pat & Kate Spurlock

Netarts is our escape to solitude and nature, a place to enjoy the fireplace any month of the year--to read, design, write, whittle, kayak, explore. Crabbing season is September - April; clams and oysters year round.
This has been our family cabin for forty years, and we share it to pay for its preservation.

Why they chose this property
Netarts is still the quiet uncrowded beach experience, unlike Cannon Beach or Oceanside. The cabin is on Pearl Street, which fronts pristine Netarts Bay, known for its oysters and Dungeness crab.
Even during winter months Netarts can be surprisingly like summer.
The cabin is situated so you feel you are the only people there.
Grocery stores, coffeeshops and restaurants are near by if you need them.

What makes this property unique
This cabin is actually on the beach (unlike others that say they are) with unobstructed view of Netarts Spit that encloses Netarts Bay, and the ocean beyond.
Wildlife surrounds. Eagles nest above the house. Seals snooze on the spit between every tide. Pelicans dive in late summer.
Clams and crabs can be gathered at low tide (clams with shovel, crabs with headlamp and a long arm!) or at high tide with a boat.
Huckleberries grow on bushes surrounding the cabin, and in PROFUSION among the pines on the Spit! Bring your boat!
Sleep with windows open or sleep on the deck.
