About this property

Pheasant Lodge - a woodland lodge that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms

A warm welcome awaits visitors to the two storey Woodland Lodges with seasonal pool, set amongst the natural birch woodland. These timber buildings are tranquil and secluded, simple yet comfortable, with balconies for wildlife watching or to sit with a glass of wine to watch the sunset. Guests can enjoy the shared, seasonal indoor swimming pool open from April to October, the games room with wi fi hotspot and toddler play area.

The open plan interior with french doors leading onto a wooden terrace, comprises family seating, Freeview TV, DVD player, electric stove heating and carpet in the living area. There is wooden laminate flooring in the dining area and kitchen, with a dining table and chairs, plus a kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. To the rear of the lodge is a twin bedroom, directly opposite the compact bathroom, with a shower over the bath, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

Upstairs you will find the double bedroom with balcony, a twin bedroom and a cloakroom with WC. All the bedrooms have wardrobes, dressing tables, side tables and mirrors. Beds will be made up for your arrival and towels are supplied.

Car parking is provided in front of each of the lodges, with shared picnic tables, shared BBQ for eating “al-fresco” on those lazy evenings and a washing line to the rear. Just a short walk away is the shared seasonal indoor swimming pool (open April to October), games room with table tennis, pool, table football and wi-fi hotspot. The large lawn is ideal for outdoor activities and has football goals, a play area and low level assault course, allowing the children space to burn-off energy and let-off steam. Other facilities include lockable bike store, communal dryer and tourist information point.

Included in you price is leisure pass, shared wi-fi hotspot in Games Room, bed linen and towels for up to 6, electricity, heating, hot water, Freeview TV/DVD, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, toilet rolls and basic cleaning materials on arrival and washing powder, tea towels, oven gloves and bin bags.

Pets at £40 each, Welcome Packs from £35, Milk at £1, Maps from £2.50, Local history book at £6, Carbon credit at £10.

Quiet break

We’ve been coming to Tomich for 16 years and love the peace and tranquility. This break was no different. Only comment would be that the lodges are becoming a bit tired and in need of updating. Will still be back but will go to the cottages again next time.

Superb location and accommodation and value for adult group of three with dogs

Tomcih Holidays lodge - an amazing accommodation and dog-friendly place to stay for six nights: a beautiful two floor chalet-style lodge with stunning woodland views and ample parking in a small close of similar lodges. We needed three bedrooms and had two dogs so it was a perfect size using all three bedrooms. Great estate facilities including an onsite swimming pool and games room and polite but non-intrusive service team. A brilliant base to explore the Loch Ness region by car and on foot in hills around the nearby Guisachan estate and the beautiful Glen Affric area. The living space and kitchen facilities were comfortable with most home needs including for home cooking and dining with a dining table, microwave, electric cooker hob, oven and fridge freezer and a washing machine. The electric heating and water supply (bath and shower) (and two WCs) was fine for this time of year with cool nights. Note if you need Wifi in the accommodation, at time of staying in April 2025, we needed an EE network phone to hotspot - if you don't have that, you will you need to head to the estate games room about five mins walk away. Note other phone hotspot networks were not available or very patchy. Overall highly recommend - superb accommodation and value.

Lovely quiet lodge

The property was well located in close proximity to various tourist locations. Lodge had all the basics we needed for the stay and the location had a pool, games room and playground that our kids loved but was also great for evenings and wet weather days

Most Beautiful Area I Have Ever Experienced

My family of 6 stayed in a lodge for a week. It was cozy and had all we needed. We were able to enjoy nature as well as go into the Loch Ness Centre. It was incredibly peaceful. I recommend this lodge if you want to experience the Scottish Highlands.

Golden Girls Break!

Impressed with everything! Location was very secluded but very easy to find and near enough to shops for any basic foodstuffs etc. Great walking with the dogs - we hadn't appreciated the history of Golden Retrievers starts in the area (our girls are rescue 'Goldies'). Were lucky with the weather too! Will be back!

Idyllic.

We were absolutely delighted with pheasant lodge. The lodge itself is a full sized detached wooden house, with generous sized rooms & equipped with everything you need. The location to me is heavenly, in highland woodland with views looking down a wooded moss covered hillside. The clean air and the birdsong added to the delightful experience. The only downside perhaps for some is the remoteness ; single track pot holed roads, about 15 minutes to the nearest shop and half an hour from Drumnadrochit and the main road to Inverness.

Avison in Scotland

Excellent place to stay, left to our own devices. Grounds are superbly maintained and looked after. Staff really friendly and helpful and hard working (hope the owner sees this a really looks after them). Excellent pool, games room and outside play area for everyone to enjoy. Lots of hiking trails snd MTB trails with stunning scenary and geographical features, lots of activities to do with an hours drive of the accomodation. Will be returning to complete more trails and visit all areas we saw when driving to and fro the accomodation. Highly recommended for a nice quiet secluded holiday in nature. Dont forget the spray for the midgies, they can be annoying but the scenery soon distracts you from them.

beautiful location

We had a lovely time staying in Tomich. The surrounding area is full of stunning scenery. The woodland lodge was clean but very tired and in need of upgrading. Although there are three bedrooms the living space and utilities are barely big enough to accommodate that many people. The kitchen provided the basic essentials but it could have been a much more pleasant experience with some improved crockery and cutlery and utensils , especially as we ate all meals there due to the remote location. The sofas were comfy, but the dining chairs were in very poor condition as were the outdoor chairs. The small bathroom was functional and hot water was plentiful, A better extraction fan would stop the unsightly condensation build up. The bedrooms were pleasant, although the duvets had seen better days. The wifi was good. Overall, the place does have a charm to it and there have been some improvements carried out, it just needs a bit more upgrading to make it a more comfortable stay. If you are not bothered too much about conditions then the lodge is a nice place to stay and being in the woods is lovely I would like to return to Tomich, but I think next time I would try some of the other accommodation they offer, like the Dairy or courtyard appts.
