Quality furnishings in this spacious well-kept farmhouse minutes from Okemo base lodge. Comfortable living areas, large family/game room with foosball, large screen TV , eat-in kitchen. Sleeps 10. Three full baths. Enjoy the night sky views year-round in the 7 person hot tub. Private 1.5 acres with huge yard for games, barn, fire pit and our own pond. Great walking/cross country skiing trails and sledding across the street A gem of a house close to base lodge and 1/2 mile to town. Weekend shuttle to Okemo.

Good getaway

Place is as advertised. Well maintained and with all of the things we needed for the week. Pool and hot tub a good bonus with the rainy weather. Small pond in the back has overflowed onto lawn due to season's above normal rainfall. Could not figure out a way to get boats to the larger pond across the street which is still closed from flooding. Nice birds in the area (ducks, geese, goldfinch, kingfisher, many others).

Stay at Ludlow Property

I didn't personally stay but we had a crew of guys staying there to help with the flooding and the house in Ludlow was a perfect home away from home for them for approx. three weeks. Would definitely recommend. The owners are very nice, polite and accommodating.

Excellent home and location

This place is great. We are well travelled VRBO users and this place hit all the things we like to find. The common areas of the home are large and gave us lots of room for our extended family get away.

Incredible location and house!

My friends and I stayed here for our annual ski weekend trip and couldn’t have been happier about our choice! It’s a short 2 minute drive to Okemo which made our ski days so much less stressful, and the hot tub out back even has a great view of the mountain. The house itself had everything we needed and provided tons of space for our group of 10. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

What a TRIP!

The property is exactly as described but even better in person. The house was perfect for our trip to ski Okemo. Plenty of space for 10 adults and everything you could possibly need was in the house/shed. We were lucky enough to get there before the big snow storm and waking up the next day to perfect conditions was the icing on the cake for this trip. Highly recommend this home, sue made communication easy, and the location is super close to the mountain! Will definitely love to come back!

Vermont Ski Trip

My friends and I enjoyed our long weekend in VT at this property! The check in process and communication with the owner were flawless. The house had a number of nice perks including the hot tub and the wood burning stove which heats up the home very quickly. The home could use a bit of cleaning specificaly in the vents which had some dust buildup and one of the bathrooms did freeze for 2 nights which included the laundry (mind you it was extremely cold this weekend). The home had everything you would need for a large group and you can’t beat the 2 minute drive to the Okemo base and the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and stores. Overall I would recommend this property for large groups or families, it’s the perfect spot for a ski trip.

Despite mediocre weather we had an excellent time at this rental, which was located very close to Okemo mountain with everything you’ll need and a hot tub for apres ski!

Nice place to relax

Nice rental. Peter and Sue are friendly and helpful. Home was as described in the ad. Relaxing and quiet area. Hot tub was nice. Plenty of room/privacy. Well stocked. Nicely decorated. Wifi great. Owners were available via phone. We had a few issues (broken laundry room shelf upon arrival, laundry was left unfinished, lack of dry firewood, fridge not working properly and hot tub wasn’t filtering as well as it should)….but owner was responsive and we were able to resolve a couple of the issues. Jeff the maintenance man was helpful. Unfortunately they couldn’t get a fridge replacement in time due to limited availability, so we just used bagged ice to keep the fridge which worked fine. Owner said they would compensate for this. Overall it was a fun stay and We would stay again! Other info: Restaurant selection in area is Limited in the summer. Was hard to find decent pizza. Local Chinese food was just okay. Many places closed during midweek. You are better off cooking at the home. Shaws is great for groceries! You can order groceries ahead online and pickup curbside. It’s Big time saver! 7-11 is open til midnight if you need Ice or other convenience items. Dunkin’ Donuts is close by as well. The Road to the home is very steep in one area. In the winter you’ll have an issue if you don’t have all-wheel drive! There are 3 stairs going into the home. No railing. but you can hang on to the pillar. Bedrooms are all upstairs. Stairs leading up to bedrooms are a bit steep and awkward (there is no railing on first few steps and a steep last step-up at the top). Because of this, my elderly uncle had to sleep on the couch. It wasn’t a big deal and He was very comfortable. But I just wanted people to know in case of mobility issues with anyone in their group. Suggestions for owner: Home is surface clean,but is overdue for a deep cleaning, top to bottom. The upstairs bathroom is quite mildew and the track for the shower door needs cleaning. Dusting is needed. When the lawn is mowed it would be nice if they used a bagger on the mower. Otherwise a lot of grass clippings get tracked inside the home. Hot tub control panel is touchy. Sometimes the led lights work sometimes they don’t. Sometimes the temp reading goes down when you try to make it go up. Hot tub is missing pillow pads in the corners seats. Backyard was very wet/muddy. Firepit area could use an update. A screened in porch would be nice to avoid the bugs at night. Just suggestions Thx

Great family vacation home

This home was very clean, well stocked and bigger than the photos show. Our family was extremely comfortable all week. The lake across the street was not convenient or easy to access.

Perfect!

It's always hard choosing a location based only on photos that can be misleading, but I was very happy to find that the photos of this property don't do it any justice! It's a perfect location minutes from anything you may need, and the property is beautiful and well maintained. We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather, so our group didn't spend much time in the house. Should you be spending time, there's a very nice foosball table, multiple televisions, and plenty of space. I would love to stay again!

Spacious house on beautiful property

Our group of 6 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed this property. Great location, very clean. 3 baths all with showers was great for our large group. We had a mostly rainy and cold weekend, but we sat inside near the wood stove or relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed every minute. Nice walking trails around the reservoir, and kids really enjoyed the canoes. Great dinner at Mangiamo, too! Highly recommend this property.

Great weekend ski trip!

This house was amazing and in the perfect location. This house had an amazing rustic feel that made the weekend so enjoyable. The house is not even a 5 minute drive to the clock tower base at Okemo. The hot tub was an added bonus and we look forward to returning again in the future!

Great Location Close To Okemo

Group of friends and I took an extended weekend ski trip up to Okemo. We had a total of 8 people and had more than enough room in this residence. The house is actually quite a bit larger than what I was expecting and laid out nicely so that we could all hangout together. The couches and beds were extremely comfortable as well. The mountain is very convenient to get to from this house and you come in the resort the opposite way as everyone else, so then you don't have to fight the congestion...which looked a little rough! Plus then its a much faster trip back to the hot tub at the end of the day. Finally the owners were very easy to deal with and very caring about their property, which shows in the cleanliness of the house.

perfect size and location

this home was the perfect spot for my group of friends to stay the weekend while skiing okemo. it was a 2 minute drive up the street to the mountain, secluded and private. the amenities like the game room and hot tub were a huge hit and we had plenty of room to all hang out comfortable. home was clean, and had everything we needed for a great stay. would come again!

Blissful escape

I stayed here for nearly a month in summertime with my husband and two sons, ages 10 and 12. Sue and Peter were kind and helpful, and addressed the few questions we had. The house is cozy, warm and fun, perfect for our family. The area is stunning. We hiked and swam, ate dinners on the porch and caught and released frogs in the pond. I was sad to leave, and hope to return soon.

Comfortable place; pond very small.

Had a very enjoyable time at this house which is very comfortable for two families (or some other configuration). We were there in the summer which was great and I could see it being an excellent ski place. The only caveat would be that the pond on the property is very small (maybe 30 feet wide or so). Canoes were included which is nice but I wouldn't characterize it as a place to do water recreation. More of a small diversion. Across the street is a larger, shallow, reedy reservoir or something which might be ok for a little dip in a pinch. Also some basketball courts over there.
