Amazing Apartment near Kensington Palace and Notting Hill

Our apartment is located in one of the finest streets of Kensington, within easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello market.

In the spring, the cherry blossom trees are amazingly beautiful and you can enjoy them from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine and having a few nibbles . Sitting out on the balcony is a great way to unwind after a hard day's site seeing or shopping with much to see and do on your doorstep and a number of Tube stations only a few minutes away.


We have tried to both keep the original features of the apartment (beautiful cornices, fireplace, origianl window shutters) and create a relaxing, modern feel to the place through our choice of colours, furniture and pictures. TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and a wide range of TV and radio channels, Wifi, and a selection of books, CDs and DVDs will hopefully also help you relax and unwind in the evening.

The main bedroom has a superking size bed which can be converted into two single beds if required. A comfortable kingsize sofa bed in the lounge can be quickly opened (with a hidden compartment to store blanket and pillows when not in use) and the apartment can therefore accommodate four people without difficulty.
In the summer, you will appreciate the efficient aiircon portable units.

A most lovely apartment in a most lovely quiet street in the heart of Kensington. No traffic noise, no sirens, barely a pedestrian in sight. This is my favourite part of Kensington and this apartment is perfect. Feel like a local, love it !

Kensington Joy

A perfect "pied-a-terre" for exploring Kensington, Notting Hill, and beyond. The flat is perefectly proportioned and well designed and feels clean trendy and modern. It sits on a lovely street with no dodgy bits what so ever. I have been staying in Notting Hill and Kensington regulalry for 25 years, and this is my new favourite. Particulalry enjoyed the family run Italian close by called La Fortuna. I am a big fan of VRBO and this property is right up there !

Beautiful, comfortable flat bathed in sunlight

My daughter and I stayed in this apartment for 10 days. We enjoyed every moment. From the minute we arrived, there was someone to help us settle. Basic irems had been provided such as bread, milk tea and coffee and the owner answered all our queries very promptly and efficiently. We will be back.

Elegant Flat in amazing location - highly recommend

Stayed for 5 nights March 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of the unit and it's very walkable location. Right away it felt like home and provided a relaxing and comfortable base. Can't say enough about Patricia's promptness in answering messages & organizing the flat so I could check in same day. She also kindly provided a bottle of wine, milk & juice. There are also coffee capsules for the Krups as well as dish detergent, laundry etc. The bed is very comfortable, quality linens & pillows and is at the back of the unit facing a courtyard/gardens. Quiet & perfect for sleep. Adequate storage space to unpack and store luggage. Kitchen & bathroom are modern & updated. Both stocked with basics. i.e. soap, shampoo.. Loved the heritage details of the moldings and high ceilings the unit feels very spacious. Enjoyed nearby restaurants: Candella Tea Room for tea & sweets, Kensington Wine Rooms all within 5 min walk. Easy walking access to Portobello Rd Market/Notting Hill. One day walked to Marylebone and Oxford street and back. Hyde & Holland parks around the corner, this is an excellent location to explore from. Westfield London Shopping Center also walkable or by bus . As mentioned in a previous review there are a couple flights of stairs to keep in mind given luggage situation. There was renovation activity at nearby properties, however it it silent on wknds & weekdays doesn't commence til 8AM or later. During our stay only a few of the flats in the building were occupied so it was extremely quiet. The front street is also quiet with minimal through traffic. Patricia is a wonderful host & her flat is exactly as stated & shown in an excellent location. Would definitely return. Thank you! :)

Absolutely charming little apartment in a perfect location .

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days in Patricia's apartment . Very well appointed in a delightfully quiet tree lined street within a stones throw of Kensington Palace and all the fabulous places to eat in Nottinghill. and Kensington . Although cold when we arrived into London , in fact snowing which was truly gorgeous after arriving from an extremely hot Sydney ,,, the apartment was warm and cosy . Every day after our travels we would return to our warm place to sit and relax with a wine before deciding where we would go for our evening dinner . Definitely looking forward to returning in summer to see the tree lined street and enjoy a glass of Rose on the little terrace . An easy place to call home on your holiday to London !

Perfect

We were a family of three, two adults and our 11-year-old son. This flat was perfect for us, and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So much within easy walking distance: Kensington Gardens, two tube stops (Kensington High Street and Notting Hill Gate), lots of fun pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants. The flat itself was lovely as well, bright and really nice decor. Just as it is pictured and described in the listing. We were amazed at how well-equipped it was, especially the kitchen. We were so sad that the weather did not really permit use of the table and chairs on the terrace. The owner, who met us at the flat on our arrival, was lovely, and she was so patient when it took us longer to get there than we had anticipated. Although the flat was spotless, I did notice some peeling paint, but learned on our last day that there had been a recent flood and the flat was due to be repainted on our departure. The only suggestion I would make would be to include some better instructions on how to work the washer/dryer, which was not intuitive to this clueless American, and made it difficult to get our laundry washed and dried in time for our departure. A small quibble though -- we would gladly stay here again, and our only regret was that we did not stay for longer.

Stunning one bedroom. Location and area superb!

We are a family of four (children 15 and 12) from Vancouver, Canada and this one bedroom apartment was absolutely perfect for us. The apartment itself is stunning, very clean and quiet. The beds ( including the queen size sofa bed) where VERY comfortable, the kitchen is superbly stocked and they even had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for us. The location of this apartment is probably in one of the most desirable and charming areas in London. We always felt safe, the tube is just around the corner and walking to many attractions was also very easy. The area the apartment is in has many wonderful little shops, restaurants and grocery stores for you to enjoy. On Saturday mornings ( Approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk) is the Portobello Market. It's a wonderful street market with many things to see and a wide variety of food venders. The owners, Gerard and Patricia are very accommodating and easy to work with. They use a professional driving service "London Perfect" to pick clients up at the airport who are very polite. I definitely recommend them as the fair is a flat rate and London traffic during the best of times is very very busy and you may just pay more with a taxi. Just be sure to inform them well ahead if you have a lot of luggage as we where a bit squished. ;). The owners also took the time to put together an information booklet. We found it very helpful and full of great ideas. We would definitely stay at the apartment again and have already recommended it to some of our friends. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of staying at Gerard and Patricia's apartment again in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Cheers!

Lovely Home

Rose met us at this beautiful home and made sure we were settled before she left. The home was super clean and comfortable and is located in a fantastic area on a quiet and lovely street. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our time here. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful place to stay!

Our family had a really great time staying for four nights . The apartment met all our needs - it was clean, modern and comfortable. The bedroom was great and the pull-out couch comfortably slept two. The place had a lot of light as well. It was quiet and close to shops and the tube. The checking in and out experience was super easy. We had a great experience.

Refreshing stay in quiet Kensington

This flat in quiet Kensington was the perfect location for our week long stay in London. Conveniently located by several tube stations, fabulous neighborhood restaurants, and a short walk from Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park made the neighborhood full of things to see and do! The flat had all the amenities we needed to not just be on vacation, but feel like we really lived there. It was extremely comfortable, the neighbors are all very lovely, and the restaurants surrounding the flat were incredible! We will absolutely be staying again the next time we visit.

Beautiful flat close to everything

My family of three had a wonderful stay. The arrival was lovely as we arranged for the recommended airport pickup and were greeted by Rosie upon arrival. The flat is beautiful and spacious, our 11 year old loved the fold out couch for sleeping and we were provided with everyone we needed. The neighborhood and flat were a quiet respite in a busy city, but close to everything with easy access to multiple Tube stations and shopping on Kensington High Street. We enjoyed coming back after a busy day and having drinks on the balcony. Communication with the host was excellent and we would be happy to stay here again next time we're in London.

Delightful, quiet, and perfect for small families

From pickup at the airport, to check-in (Rosie met us at the door), to our four days in the flat, this was a 5 star experience. It's a quiet and absolutely stunning street of white row houses -- walkable to tons of shops/restaurants (Nottinghill and Kensington/High Street). Also walkable to two parks (Kensington Garden and Holland Park, both of which have great playgrounds for kids). We took the Tube and Hop-On Hop-Off buses during our stay with our boys (ages 9 and 7) -- both were easy ways to commute from the flat to the tourist sites. It was absolutely lovely to retreat back to this neighborhood at the end of the day of touring to rest as a family (something that really was necessary given the ages of our kids). The flat includes two large, comfortable beds (the sofa bed is excellent quality), a sizable kitchenette, a modern bathroom, and a lovely balcony for coffee in the morning or wine at night. Photos on the site accurately depict the space. Hosts are very responsive and easy to work with. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful retreat in a lovely part of London, do not hesitate to book this flat. We will be back!

Perfect London Flat

From start to finish the experience was everything you could hope for. I was met by Patricia and she was kind enough to facilitate an early arrival. The flat is as pictured with tons of natural light pouring in from the windows in both the living area and dining rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need and more. The bathroom was spotless and very modern. The location couldn't be better and is located within walking distance of two major tube stations and more than a few bus stops. We took the recommendations for the restaurants and loved both Core and the very English pub with a twist, Churchhill Arms. This property would absolutely be our first choice in London.

Happy to have stayed in this Kensington apartment. Family of four were very comfortable. Efficient kitchen with a washing machine were very helpful. Notting Hill Gate Station an easy 10 minute walk.

Perfect Location.

We spent a month at the property. We also stayed here for a month in 2019.. Ideal location for exploring London, either on foot, or by bus or tube. Walk to Museums, restaurants, parks, or entertainment.

So happy with our stay

It was our first time visiting London and we were so happy to have chosen this unit. First of all, it was very comfortable, with plenty of room for our family. We loved the Notting Hill neighborhood. It was quiet but close to shopping, restaurants, and the Tube. Patricia was very accommodating, especially with our early arrival. We can’t wait to come back.
