Denna nyrenoverade lägenhet med ett sovrum är en fantastisk tillflyktsort för upp till 4 gäster. Även om det är nära alla handlingar i Grand Marais liv, har det fortfarande en mycket tyst, privat känsla som många gäster föredrar. Great location

The location was definitely the selling point. For a stay in Grand Marais we never had to drive anywhere. The house could be better stocked with general necessities but nothing that was critical. There was hand and dish soap but no shampoo/cond/shower soap. The unit could use a deep cleaning but overall was acceptable. Host was very responsive. Neighbors friendly. I would definitely stay here again but some small improvements would make a big difference!

The 1 bedroom was very clean, and had everything you need for the location! Great communication easy to get in. I brought my 2 sons and it was great!

Great location! Nicely refurbished apartment. Very comfortable queen size bed. We walked to restaurants shopping and Lake Superior shore line. Would recommend for 2-3 people.

nice location but it could be so much better

There were a number of things that could have been a lot better. First, just trying to get into the place was a challenge. It took about 5-6 attempts of entering in the code for it to work almost every time. There were 2 of us staying there, one in the bedroom and I slept on the sofa bed. It was so uncomfortable I had to take the mattress off and put it on the floor to be able to sleep on it. I also couldn’t use any of the bedding as it smelled like it was dried in about 50 bounce sheets. The entry door which faced the street had no curtain on it. When I was reading the reviews of this place, almost everyone complained about that so I was hoping he would have addressed it but he did not. The doors to the bathroom and bedroom were so tight in the door frame that it was difficult to open and close and very noisy so you would wake up the other person if you used the bathroom when they were sleeping. The cookware was of good quality (stainless steel) but they need to have an SOS pad in there to get the cooked on grease off so you could fry an egg with out it sticking. Having some basic essentials would be nice like salt and coffee. There was a coffee maker and filters but no coffee. The interior looks like it was recently done but not really finished in parts. Missing baseboard and bad paint job where the walls meet the ceiling. The icing on the cake was Ben asking us to take our trash with us or leave $8 as that’s what he is charged to dump it. That seemed really petty.

Nice place for a quick getaway

We stayed 1 night in Gand Marias and really enjoyed having this as our home base. It was fun to walk to the lake, and to all the shops in town. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

My family (we have a 6 and 8 yo) and I had an excellent stay and couldn’t have asked for a better location. Grand Marais is a gem and this place allowed us to be comfortable and well rested for a long weekend of adventuring.

Great Location

Great little apartment for our girls getaway. The location is great and we easily walked to restaurants and shops. The only thing that made us uncomfortable was the front door is glass with no curtains or shades so people can look directly into the apartment from the fairly busy street. We ended up hanging a towel over the window. Also, the door doesn’t lock automatically and it took some tinkering to get it to lock each time we left. That being said, we would stay again!
