A compact town house backing onto the River Trent close to all the famous sporting venues and the leisure activities that Trent Bridge has to offer. Pubs and restaurants are on the doorstep, lively West Bridgford is a 15 minute walk and Nottingham City Centre is just a mile away with frequent buses stopping at Trent Bridge or hail a taxi coming back into town.
Two of the three bedrooms ( a double and twin) open out onto the large balcony with seating where you can look down onto the bustling riverside and look across to Trent Bridge itself.
The house has all facilities including wifi and is best suited for up to 4 guests. Availability of third bedroom to be agreed with owner on booking

Cricket match stay

Excellent location of the property for all the sporting venues in Nottingham. Everything was as described and very clean. Thank you to Mike for all the information he provided. Would definitely book again if going to football or cricket in Nottingham.

Beautiful stay

Great communication from owner from the start of our stay and answered any questions we had. Beautiful location and the property was lovely, everything needed and the balcony looking over the river was also nice. Kids loved it. Also lovely neighbours and made us feel welcome to the area Thanks again and will book again for next year

Weekend trip to Nottingham

This was a lovely house for a group of three friends to base ourselves in during a weekend trip to Nottingham. Really nice relaxing views over the river from the first floor terrace, and the city centre is within walking distance. A great place to stay.

Perfect getaway!

Brilliant place; Mike the perfect host, quick to respond and couldn't have been more helpful. Ideal location, nicely presented, very comfortable beds, clean, orderly. The balcony overlooking the river was very pleasant in the evening and things like the record player a nice touch! Loved staying here and would definitely consider again in future!

Fabulous location

This is our second stay at this property. Although all rooms are very good, we spend the majority of our time sitting on the large balcony watching the river activities directly opposite. The location is very good with plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. Looking forward to hopefully coming back next year.

Nottingham

The property was clean and tidy. We were given loads of information for getting there really easy to find. Location was fabulous right on river. Lovely walk along the canal into city centre took us about 30 minutes. Proximity to football ground was really good just a 10 minute walk. Great stay would recommend to anyone.

Best location in Nottingham I could possibly imagine!

I was born nearby and this was a return visit after many years. The development itself is new to me, but is so brilliantly situated I still can’t believe my luck that my husband found it! The views from the back of the house over The Trent River were quite simply stunning. I could see Nottm Forest City Ground completely and it was lit up at night, visible across the river almost directly from our bedroom! perfection! Also, I could see all the rowing clubs directly across from the house. I used to spend many happy hours there as a teenager! The houses are between 2 bridges so easy access to the other bank. The Victoria Embankment - house side - is still wonderful and we walked along it several times in glorious sunshine! As a Notts County supporter, I was able to walk to the match in 5 minutes! I could see both Forest and County at the same time. For a footie fan, this is Nivarna!!!!! Leaving this house was a really sad moment for me as this stretch of the Trent is very special to me having grown up with it as a constant part of my early life. The estate is very quiet and peaceful with easy access and very nice neighbours too. My husband is very familiar with Notts too, and was equally impressed with the location and all the facilities nearby. West Bridgford is really lovely with excellent shops on Melton Road. lucky residents! So much of Nottingham has been ruined by developments and demolitions! This small estate is a little bit of peace and quiet with the continuity of the river and the clubs still in the same places. Missing it all now. Thank you Mike for your lovely home. Meant such a lot to me personally.

Lovely location

This was one of the nicest urban stays I've had in a while - most of the other ones have been obvious rentals and have felt barren, whilst this place had a lovely warm feel. The location, on the river and just a walk into town was exceptional. Top tip, though, read the directions you are sent. My friend arrived before me and had problems with the lock. Totally our fault and could have been avoided if she had read through the information the host sent. He was really nice about the extra hassel involved in dealing with it though.

Ideal location and property

Nice property in an excellent location on the river, much better for children than staying in an Hotel. Unfortunately as we were in Nottingham for a family wedding, didn't get to see much of the area so perhaps we will be back.

Wonderful house in beautiful location

Lovely well presented house. Fantastic location, far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close to local pubs and shops. Beautiful walk along the river and canal to the centre. Nottingham itself is a great place to visit, especially for historical places. Lots to see within an hour or so drive. Mike is a welcoming host and it was lovely to meet him, Hope to revisit next year and explore more.

The balcony is the standout for ud

This is our first booking with VRBO. From the start of our booking process the communication has been excellent. Our host has kept us informed all the way through and has been excellent in catering for our needs. The accommodation is everything you could ask for and more. I have to rave about the balcony. Upstairs, stretching across the length of the property, it directly overlooks the River Trent. There was a dragon boat race weekend on which we would have been happy to sit and watch and cancel our original plans. The property is within walking distance of local shops and some lovely riverside pubs. I'm more than happy to recommend this property both for the actual property and it's location. Thank you for having us.

Perfect place to base ourselves for a family wedding

Happy home!

This lovely house is a great bolt hole for a trip to Nottingham. Owner could not have been more helpful. House was spotless and charming. Great pubs witching throwing distance and walk to centre not far at all. Overall a wonderful retreat! Will be booking again. Super comfy beds too!!!

Superb house on the river

We rented this as a base for the family for my daughter's wedding. It was exactly what we needed and in an excellent location. We even got to go to the T20 cricket.

This is my main home but I am not always around to enjoy it so I wish to share the benefits of its fantastic location with visitors to Nottingham.
I generally retain one bedroom and study/utility for my private use leaving the two river facing bedrooms for guests along with the lounge diner and kitchen areas. Don't worry, I will not be home when during your stay !
If you have a specific requirement for a third bedroom and access to a washing machine for a longer stay please let me know .

Why they chose this property

When I looked to downsize, this property had the wow factor in terms of its location and the fabulous balcony overlooking the Trent. If you come to stay Nottingham, you can get in and out of the city , visit the sporting venues and access a number of local bars and restaurants without a car. There is however space for 2 cars on my driveway.
