Renovated May 2017. A charming cottage located in the heart of Shem Creek just over the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. This pet friendly cottage consists of 2 bedrooms each with queen size beds and one bathroom. Living area opens into the kitchen with a dining table for four and traditional coastal cottage decor. A complete renovation of the property, brand new furnishings, great outdoor space and the proximity to great views, activities and food make this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy the spacious yard while dining al fresco or walk to one of the great restaurants near by. This property is located a block from the waters of Shem Creek and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards from a vendor right at the waters edge. Within a 3 block radius there are 18 restaurants and bars, 2 coffee shops, a beverage super store, a farmers market, and 2 antique malls. The heart of downtown Charleston is a 12 minute drive and the beach at Sullivan's Island is 3 miles away. The Historic district of the Old Village is walking distance and offers many beautiful antebellum homes, several nice shops and a first class restaurant. Great little house and location

Convenient to downtown Charleston and the Charleston Open tennis tournament. Great restaurants (Page's Okra Grill and The Shelter) within a block or two.

This is our second stay here. Very clean, well-appointed, and the location couldn't be better. Able to walk to the Shem Creek restaurants, short drive to Sullivan's Island, and a quick drive over the bridge to downtown.

Great location and very pet friendly

We enjoyed our stay within walking distance to many places and a short drive to downtown Charleston. Very pet friendly property with an enclosed area that made it easier to walk our small dogs in an unfamiliar area. Appreciate the quick response when we had questions.

Location is great

The location was great we walked to eat and get coffee! It is pet friendly however you will need to walk your dog! Also the front door does not lock or unlock with the key so you will need to go out the side door during your stay! Furthermore there is another property behind the house it’s an apartment above the garage. This is not in the description of the property…we didn’t have a problem because we only drove two vehicles but if you need all three spaces you won’t have access to them since the people in the apartment park there. Overall, a great location to stay for a Charleston visit!

The house was so clean and cozy. Walking distance to some great restaurants and a wonderful coffee shop. Island of Palms and Sullivan Island are approximately 15-20 minute drive.

Great location to great soots to eat. Shirt drive to downtown and other beach areas. Bedrooms could use more or larger mirrors. Key did not work front door, only side door.

Great Location

We had such a lovely weekend in Mt. Pleasant. We walked to restaurants and Shem Creek Park from the house. We walked to the pick-up point for the sunset cruise we planned. Easy drive to downtown Charleston as well. The house was great, it was just as described. We would definitely stay again.

Joe’s place is in perfect location near Shem creek, downtown Charleston and the beaches. Loved the cute yard and space for the dog, loved we could walk to many restaurants, and loved the cleanliness of the property! Great find!

Perfect beach getaway

This cottage was exactly as described in the listing. It was easy to find and clean. Instructions for check in and check out were very clear. The location is convenient and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Uber very accessible.

Cozy and convenient!

This property is a gem. Just blocks from Shem Creek, you can easily walk to a slew of awesome restaurants. In terms of driving, so easy to get to both Charleston and the beaches in no time and there's plenty of parking at the house. The home itself was comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and as described. We'll certainly be back-- maybe in cooler months so we can take advantage of the awesome fire-pit area in the backyard.

We have one son and live in the old village in Mt Pleasant . In fact our home is only 5 blocks away from this property. We have owned and operated this it for several years and it is our goal to provide the best experience possible for your stay.

You cannot get a better location than this one. A private house one block from Shem Creek. The beaches are close, the heart of Charleston is a 12 minute drive and inside of 3 blocks are coffee shops, restaurants, a beverage super store, antique malls and more. All this and a very nice private property with a private, well landscaped outdoor living space.
