"Harris" 1st Floor Two Bedroom Suite (Family):​

Our 1st floor family bedroom suite comprises two en-suite bedrooms, one double and one twin and your own sitting room/breakfast room all with great views over open countryside (these are the best rooms to watch out for the deer and sheep on the hillside).

A sunny first floor double bedroom with a view out southwards towards the old walled garden area, woodland, and cottages beyond is your 1st bedroom. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large window overlooking the Deer Park and the roll top bath has a rain water shower over it so why not relax in the bath while looking out over the Deer park?

The other large, bright, and relaxing en-suite room has twin beds and lovely soft pillows.

The en-suite bathroom is in the middle of the house so has no window but with the right candles you can just drift away to your own dreamland. The bath is complete with shower mixer taps.

Your private 1st floor sitting room (where breakfast is also served) is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day!

A Visit Scotland 4* award winning bed and breakfast located right next to many "OUTLANDER" filming locations and only a short walk from "LALLYBROCH". We can offer our guests private walking tours from the cottage to Hopetoun House, Abercorn Church, Midhope Castle and Blackness Castle.

We are a simple 15 minute drive from EDINBURGH AIRPORT and to the EDINBURGH TRAM SYSTEM for easy and quick access into the city centre.

Parkhead House offers unique overnight cottage stays with the added benefit of welcoming hosts and a great Scottish breakfast.

This former Gamekeepers cottage is set on the edge of the idyllic Deer Park at the heart of Hopetoun and is just a short walk from Hopetoun House and Lallybroch itself.

We offer one, one-bedroom suite on the ground floor and one, two-bedroom suite on the 1st floor. All bedrooms are en-suite with wonderful views over wooded parkland northwards to the river Forth and Fife.

Each bedroom is individual yet beautifully appointed with the highest standard of furnishings and can be booked for a stay of one night or for a stay as long as you require.

Being only 15 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 10 minutes from either Dalmeny or Linlithgow railway stations this makes Parkhead House a relaxed place to stay but still close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

We offer private accommodation, freedom and flexibility combined with the welcome of a traditional bed and breakfast so those travelling with children, enjoying the great outdoors or bringing the family pet can relax knowing you have your own private sitting room/breakfast room during your stay.

Each suite has tea/coffee making facilities, Free View TV, FREE Wi-Fi, radio alarm, hairdryer, towels, bathrobes and toiletries.

Our breakfasts are made using the best local organic produce supplied where possible by the Hopetoun Farm Shop and Estate.

We now offer wi-fi throughout the cottage and garden which you can use for free.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast near airport and 30 minutes to downtown

This was our first and last night lodging while in Scotland. They let us drop bags early. The owners treated us well and answered questions quickly. I left my Kindle and they held it for my return. We had lovely views. It was quiet but could get to Edinburgh within a half hour. Breakfast was excellent . We could pick and choose what we wanted and everything was yummy. Overall, we all loved it. We were happy we were coming back at the end of our trip.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was brought to our own living/kitchen area as we ordered the previous evening. We enjoyed the impeccable cleanliness, the friendly and attentive James & Angela and the comfortable and well-appointed rooms. What a charming place to stay! We couldn't have asked for anything more. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were kind enough to leave some breakfast foods and snacks that were appreciated after a long day of travel. The hosts were very helpful with things to do around the area. I stayed at Parkhead with my bridesmaids the night before my at Hopetoun House. The house was beautiful with gorgeous views, everything was clean and kitchens etc were well equipped. On top of the house being great I cannot praise James and his wife, enough for all of their help- they genuinely couldn’t have done enough to help us! This house is absolutely perfectly as a place to stay for all occasions but a great option before a wedding anywhere in south queensferry! (Hopetoun House especially!

My friend and I stayed at Parkhead House two times during our vacation in Scotland, August 29 and 30, and September 6, 2015. We absolutely loved it and can't say enough good things about it! We stayed in a total of 7 different B&B's during our stay, and Parkhead House was our favorite B&B. The location is fabulous. It's close to Edinburgh, but in a quiet location and setting. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
