Just a short 5 minute drive to Hanalei you can enjoy the historic town, it's quaint shops, local artists, great dining, surf, bike and kayak rentals, a health food store, smoothie bars, Hanalei Strings (where you can get your Ukulele and a lesson), and some great views of taro fields. For Surfers the world renowend Hanalei Bay and Tunnels Makua beach is your backyard playground. For Hikers the world famous Kalalau Trail of the Napali coast is a 20 min stunning drive along the coast to the end of the road at Ke'e beach where the trail begins. There is no central air conditioning in the unit. There are two portable AC units in the upstairs master bedrooms. I have just added a portable for the downstairs but no central. There are high end fans in every single room with multiple speeds. There is a wonderful tropical cross breeze as well with all the windows open which is how we love it. There is no pool or spa, but the beach is just a mile away. There is a wifi speaker in the house to connect your favorite tunes.
