Orca Overlook si trova arroccato su una collina che domina alcune delle acque più percorse da Orca nello Stretto di Haro e nel Mare Salish. Un grande ponte nuovo di zecca, circondato da alberi, dà la sensazione di essere in una casa sull'albero. Dopo aver visto il tramonto sull'Isola di Vancouver in lontananza, spostati all'interno nell'accogliente salotto per guardare la TV Fire (nessuna ricezione satellitare). La casa dispone di grandi finestre che si affacciano sul mare, quindi porta il tuo binocolo.

Il soppalco, il soggiorno e la cucina sono ideali per godersi insieme le vacanze in famiglia. Ci sono due camere da letto private, una con un comodo letto matrimoniale e l'altra con un letto full-size. Una terza camera ha un divano letto matrimoniale estraibile. Ci sono anche due bagni completi (uno con doccia e uno con vasca) al piano principale.

I bambini e la famiglia apprezzeranno sicuramente il loft allestito come area giochi, completo di tavolo da gioco rotondo e freccette. Al piano inferiore, la cucina ben attrezzata è completa di bancone da bar e sgabelli da bar per rimanere in contatto con chiunque stia preparando il pasto. Nelle vicinanze si trova un tavolo da pranzo per sedersi al coperto. Se è una bella giornata di sole, puoi scegliere di mangiare fuori sul ponte, dove ci sono ulteriori posti a sedere sotto un bellissimo ombrellone verde, dove abbondano i tramonti serali.

Una breve passeggiata lungo la strada di accesso conduce ad una spiaggia comunitaria condivisa da quattro case nella zona. Questa proprietà è anche adiacente al parco della West Side San Juan Island County con la sua spiaggia per il lancio di kayak e un picnic.

Great house

The house is actually bigger than it looks in photos. The kitchen had everything that we needed for preparing our holiday meals as nd the view is amazing.

Cozy cottage with an amazing view

The house is super sweet, very cozy. Nice kitchen with all the amenities. Two bedrooms, double mattress size, comfortable though. An amazing view, right next to a park. Beautiful deck, ample board games and fireplace. We had a great experience!

Homey with a View

Incredibly homey with an unbeatable view. Absolutely loved our time there, mostly lived on the deck and even caught a few orca swimming by! Only complaint is checkin/checkout 10/4 instead of 11/3 but would highly recommend the house and can't wait to stay there again.

The View

It is a beautiful house on the west side. The view is spectacular. It was everything as advertised. You could hike down to the County Park or a little beach. We watched the seals from our deck. It is great for friends, couples, or families if you don’t have to worry about little ones out on the deck. We loved it.

Beautiful view and location

The view was awesome. We enjoyed watching the big ships pass by and the west side of the island was so quiet and peaceful. We had a kayak trip and were able to meet our guide at the county park right down the road.

Not so great

We got there early and were told we could not sit on the deck when we arrived. Property management never called us to let us know it was ok to enter property as she promised to do. The bedroom is pitch black... with both lights on cannot identify clothing to get dressed. Front deck is stunning but there is not a comfortable way to enjoy it. There are two very uncomfortable metal lounges with a short cushion on it. No cushions for the other two metal deck chairs??? It was a bust - we paid a lot and left a day early.

Tranquil views

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the islands. Wonderful sunsets and close to many places to explore. The home is beautiful and comfortable. A place we will return to!

San Juan Sanctuary

As soon as we walked in we were blown away by how beautiful the place was and how incredible the view was! Also the location is perfect: right near Lime Kiln State Park and Lime Kiln Preserve, which includes lots of hiking trails and beach access. The rental also included lots of board games, which we played as a family. We could not have been happier there!

No time for breakfast

The house was great but we hardly had time to enjoy. Late arrival on the ferry and 10 am check-out on Sunday morning. No time for breakfast. Another night would have been good but too expensive.

Easy walk next door to San Juan County park and only a few miles drive to Lime Kiln. Bed was comfortable, Kitchen well equipped. Would recommend for 4 people although listing allows 6, but 2 would be on a fold out couch. Overall, we look forward to staying here again, and found the management company communicative and professional. House was clean. Stove is a little tricky to figure out the first time, use google if you need to. WiFi worked well at speeds of 25mbps.

Peaceful and beautiful retreat

Our first visit to the San Juans !!
