This lovely flat has a king sized bed in the cosy bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet and basin plus a washing machine. The well stocked kitchen has views over the Moors as you wash up or you can use the dishwasher. There is a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in Glastonbury with a short, pretty walk into town, this is the place! Loved the elevated view and the amazing landscaping. Vanessa was engaged and pleasant and made sure the futon was set up as a bed for a second guest when we arrived. The stairs to and from the “nest” are not for the faint of heart, though. Don’t overpack! Nice large bathroom with plenty of hot water. Adorable kitchen. Cozy, very small bedroom but the bedding and mattress were lovely. Enthusiastically recommend this place!

Enchanting, clean and comfortable!
Our experince at The Flying Dragon's Nest was fantastic! The apartment is very, very, clean, tastefully furnished and extermely comfortable. Flowers everywhere in the beautiful outdoor garden, perfect for enjoying the sunset and early morning bird-watching. Inside the artium/patio, which is spacious and comfortable in cold or warm weather, the geraniums are beyond magnificent, providing a delicate perfume. Great for eating meals at the ample table or just relaxing in the big comfortable chairs. The apartment is well-stocked with everything one could possibly need. Beds are really comfortable and great shower in large bathroom. Kitchen with large frig and lovely views to the gardens. The entire apartment has great natural light and a spacious and warm ambient. The owners, Vanessa and Renchi are charming, extremely helpful and very kind. We felt like we were staying with friends. The apartment is very private, quiet and peaceful. Short 5-minute walk to Glastonbury High Street and all of the shops, restaurants, grocery stores and highlights of Glastonbury are easily reached on foot. We will return and we would not stay anywhere else after our lovely experience at The Flying Dragon's Nest! Thank you Vanessa and Renchi!

Exceeded My Expectations
Vanessa and Renchy were the best hosts, we didn't have a car and Renchy picked us up at the bus stop! The house is up on a hill with fantastic views. I loved The solarium and wish I would have had more time to use it. I started each day in it with a cup of coffee and ended the day with a glass of wine just enjoying the view. Everything was super clean, the bed comfortable, and it is an easy walk downtown (but it is uphill on the way back). I highly recommend this property!

Spectacular Scenery
The view are definitely to die for! One our first night, the sunset was breathtaking! We never got up early enough to see the sunrise, though! Blame it on the super comfortable and luxurious beds!!! Bathroom was very large. Loved the shower mechanism. Easy access to the washer. Refrigerator was large, microwave and oven were provided as well. Very clean place. Loved the garden! My daughter loved the flowers! It's a haven for nature lovers.
Vanessa was very friendly and helpful.
Plenty of free parking. Would require a lot of steep steps up and down the property (loved the exercise!). Loved walking and shopping along the High Rd. Visited the Abbey and had a wonderful time there. Saw some buses going to the Tor and Chalice Well.
Would recommend to friends and relatives. Definitely would be back here. Thank you, Vanessa!

Weekend stay
The property itself was neat, tidy and clean. Well equipped for basic needs. Weather unfortunately did not allow us to see the lovely sights however we knew they were there.
Only downside was steps leading down to the property. The sensor lights did not stay on and it was difficult to see in the dark while going down steep slippery steps. Handrail not easy to reach and one of our party fell due to poor lighting.
Other than this the property was a lovely find.
We agree with all that has been said in previous reviews. An added plus is the fact we were here on a short winter break and the apartment was kept very cosy and warm.
We stayed here as we were attending a festival at Shepton Mallet Showground, but didn't want to camp. The property was a lovely, relaxed place to stay, with amazing views. Would certainly recommend!
Very good view, looking westward. You will need a car and should not choose this property if you have issues with your knees - lots of steps. We toured from here to Salisbury and Stonehenge and Bath. Nice spot to unwind at end of day.
Eine wunderbare Unterkunft, unglaublich freundliche Vermieter ..liebevoll eingerichtet und der Ausblick - einfach grandios.
Eine Oase der Ruhe , wir wären gerne geblieben.
Danke dafür.
Excellent location, easy walk into Glastonbury. Ideally sutuated to visit what we wanted to in the area eg Wells, Bath, Cheddar Gorge and the coast.
Property was superb very clean with everything you would need and very friendly hosts.
Vanessa property was very peaceful. It had the most beautiful garden, with a lovely conservatory. Just a short stroll to town. Vanessa was a lovely, helpful woman

A lovely, cosy holiday flat with amazing views. A fantastic location within walking distance of Glastonbury's many attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay :-)
There was nothing missing. Utilities complete. Bed comfortable. Sofa bed in lounge was great.
We were fortunate.. showers of shooting stars fell across the sky fir 4 night visit 1st week January many colours. The apartment is 10 minute walk to town , the town has no franchise of clothes stores or coffee bars or cafes fantastic food. The host provided ground coffee and teas. Excellent holiday
Private and spacious rooms, beautiful conservatory with stunning views. Ten minutes walk to town. Wonderful to have a washing machine. Friendly hosts, picked us up from the station and dropped us off at the airport for a small charge.
The photographs in the listing didn't do this property justice, it was so homely, clean and welcoming. Sure the steps up to the property tried my knees but it was worth it for such a magnificent view I would definitely book again. A gorgeous retreat away from the messed up world we live in.

About the host
Hosted by Vanessa Bicknell
We moved to Glastonbury in 2001 after selling our bookshop in Hampshire and bought the Flying Dragon Bed and Breakfast. In 2010 we converted the downstairs into a beautiful garden flat and renamed it the Flying Dragon's Nest and moved up into the bed and breakfast house ourselves.
Why they chose this property
We had been coming to Glastonbury for years as a place for rest and retreat, plus we love the Chalice Well Garden and climbing the Tor. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we often walk in the Mendips and out on the Levels looking at the incredible bird wildlife.
What makes this property unique
We bought this particular house because of its fantastic views and its great potential to use as a rental property, As we face west we can often have incredible sunsets and light into the house. It is a very peaceful place to live, yet near everything that Glastonbury has to offer.
