What an incredible property, perfect for a families!
We honestly had the most amazing time at Villa Colomba. We were 12 members of the same family, 3 generations, from 5 to 66yrs.
We were welcomed at the property with a Tomato Pasta lunch (organised with Dan beforehand) which was delicious and very much appreciated.
There is so much room in this ‘home from home’ that you never feel like you’re on top of each other. Lovely air conditioned, spacious bedrooms (necessary with the gorgeous temperatures we had!) were cool and comfortable.
2 huge fridge freezers and plenty of space to eat inside or out.
Now, the view….the pictures cannot do it justice - it is just incredible. For the first few days we just couldn’t get over how lucky we were. Sitting at night on the terrace with the lit pool in front of us, our own bar to the side, the twinkling lights from Lastra a Signa below and Florence in the distance. Absolutely stunning.
Dan is on site if you ever need him, we didn’t get a hire car in the end (would probably recommend if possible) but he took us to the shops a couple of times so we could stock up on food a drink!
He cooked a the tastiest Argentinian Steaks on the BBQ for us one evening, with lovely salads and this actually was one of our favourite evenings.
He also dropped us to the station so we could catch the train to Florence. The distance to the station isn’t very far but it’s high up (remember those views!) and so we didn’t attempt the walk as it was just too hot.
The outside area and pool were perfect - many games of family volleyball took place there! Lots of sun beds and sofas to make lazing in the sun very easy :)
All in all a fabulous place to stay, we felt so at home and didn’t want to leave at the end of the week!
We would happily return :)
