LOCATION

Meadowbank shopping centre with Sainsbury's superstore open daily from 6am to 10pm,M&S,TKmaxx,KFC and more is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Our Edinburgh apartment is the ideal hub from which to access Edinburgh City Centre and Princes Street, be it for business or pleasure. We are just about 15-20 minutes walk from the Scottish Parliament, The Royal Residence at Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, Princes St. Playhouse, Artur's Seat and most of the main attractions in Scotland's capital city. Located in the modern Horizon development next to Lochend Loch and Lochend Park.

Our apartment is also ideally situated for access to The Shore in Leith, where you will find a plentiful supply of pubs, restaurants, including Michelin Star dining and the Royal Yacht Britannia in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. Also nearby the apartment there is very good bus connection available with 24 hour service and a Tesco super store open till midnight.

DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT

Sleep up to 4 guests. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with lift access in the building. There is a living room with large double sofa bed, coffee table, flat screen TV, DVD and French windows that open to a balcony where you can enjoy morning tea or coffee with a superb view over the park and the pond. The dining area has a big table with 5 chairs.

The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen appliances: large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, cutlery and crockery.

The master bedroom has an en-suite with a stand in electric shower cubicle, a king size bed or 2 single beds, a good size built-in wardrobe and big double windows with a superb view of the Carlton Hill and Arthur's Seat.

The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds or 1 super king size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a view of the park. The main bathroom has a bath with an over bath shower. There is a separate cupboard for shoes and jackets.

Genius luxury 1500 pocket sprung and hypo-allergenic mattresses -hotel style zip and link beds so can be make up with 2 single beds or a king size bed in each bedroom.

The building also has a secure entry system and CCTV.
Double glazing and gas central heating. Free Wi-fi internet access.

WELCOMING

We provide a 'meet and greet' service, whereby we will meet you at the property to hand over keys, show you the layout, provide local information and answer any questions you may have.

(Alternative time check-in, check-out can be arranged directly with the property owner before arrival).

Upon arrival, your apartment will contain a complimentary welcome pack to get you started, so you won't have to worry about tracking down the local shops on your first night for those essential items;
coffee, tea, sugar and set of basic cleaning products (dishwasher tablets, liquid for dishes, liquid soap, toilet paper, garbage bags) .

GETTING AROUND BY BUS OR TAXI

The way to get to the apartment is take a bus number 100 (ticket costs £4.5 per person) from airport to Waverley Station(travel time about 25 minutes) and then taxi (taxi costs around £6-8) to the apartment or you can ask how much will be taxi from the airport to the apartment because it could be the same price (around £25)as bus tickets especially when is few of you.

Taxi from the apartment to Edinburgh airport cost about £25.
Taxi from apartment to Waverley Train Station, Royal Mile and Princes St. cost about £7.
Or you can walk about 15-25 minutes to Waverley Train Station, Royal Mile and Princes St.

There are a number of local bus services that go near the apartment from Easter Road bus 35 and 1.

Bus no.35 will take you in minutes to Scottish Parliament, The Royal Residence at Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, National Museum of Scotland, Old Town. Opposite direction to Ocean terminal down the Leith.
Bus no.1 will take you in minutes to Princes Street and West End.
From London Road Bus no.26 will take you in 20 minutes to Edinburgh Zoo or opposite direction to Portobello Beach( Edinburgh's seaside ).

The flat was fit for purpose and very clean. I would say that it is more a taxi journey if you wanted to visit the old town of Edinburgh as around a 45 minute walk but overall a nice stay.

Truly a home from home

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment with everything you needed for a five night stay. Slawomir is an excellent host and the apartment has good views over the park and very quiet. We were a three generation family with a three year old and there was plenty of room for everyone. Would book again.

Great location, well considered

The owner of the property was very friendly and approcable. He has thought about the travellers coming by plane when kitting out the accommodation including items such as soap, kitchen roll, bin bags and fairy liquid and some herbs and spices such a nice touch. Great ideas given about places to visit. Apartment in walking (good) from main attractions. We had a great time.

Perfect!

We spent 7 days over Christmas in this wonderful apartment and everything was perfect. Slawomir was an excellent host. He greeted us on arrival, explaining how everything worked and giving handy hints about things to do in the area. He was always immediately contactable, should we require anything during our stay. The accommodation is the perfect distance away from the city for us, allowing a stroll in each direction but also handy for supermarkets, other shops and takeaways. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm, quiet and comfortable. with a lovely outlook over the park. We definitely look forward to returning to this property.

Really enjoyed our short stay in this apartment, well equipped with everything you need. Would say though, could do with a mirror in the bedroom. Excellent outlook from the balcony over looking the park. The taxi service we used was also spot on, they were nearly there before you had booked they were that efficient!! Could not fault😊

This property was perfect what what we needed on our visit to Edinburgh. We were 2 couples and there was plenty of space for the four of us. The apartment was well equipped with everything you would need. The only one wee point is no mirrors in the bedrooms. We had to do our hair in the hall as this is the only place with one.

This Property provided everything we needed for a short stay in Edinburgh. It enabled us to be close to the Royal Yacht, the Botanical gardens and the Royal Mile. There were Supermarkets and Restaurants nearby.

We had a lovely time staying here. Slawomir was always very quick with any info requests and was really helpful & friendly. The beds were very very comfortable which is important to us. Rooms with a view

We selected this flat for the lovely views in the profile, and the actual views from every window were even better. What we didn't realize is that the flat overlooks a large park, which we enjoyed walking through nearly every day; it provided a quiet, peaceful break from the frenetic energy of New Town and Old Town areas. My bedroom had an unobstructed view of Arthur's Seat. Beautiful and restful to the eyes. The rooms are of good size, bright and very clean. Bedding was comfy. The flat is in a quiet urban alcove; we scarcely heard any city noise. We had a little trouble getting hot water for the shower until we realized the hot water heater in the kitchen had to be turned on. Slawomir was an excellent host: friendly, informative, accessible and responsive. He offered suggestions on hiking activities we might enjoy. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the foot of the Royal Mile (east end). Busses would have taken us to the center of town but we were happy to walk. Wish we had had the time to walk in the other direction, to Leith. It sounds like an equally old but less frantic urban center than Edinburgh. We were very comfortable, relaxed and content here,
