Relaxing & beautiful stay

Very relaxing and could just sit out on the back deck or the picnic table and enjoy the very quiet and peaceful setting. We did a lot of day trips from there and nice to come back to this out of the way cabin !

Nice relaxing stay

Anna and Lelio were great hosts at this quiet and peaceful cabin north of Dubois. This was a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy the great resources of the region. Even the two days I worked remotely during our stay were easy to do (great wifi) and a nice setting to sit on the porch and take a call. We will certainly look for a chance to return.

Beautiful Remote Location

It was a nice opportunity to stay in a remote area at a beautiful horse ranch property. The horses were beautiful. The house looks over a beautiful little lake. We aren't fishermen, but it supposedly had great fishing; it looked like it would be heaven to fish on your own almost private lake (there were fishermen paying to fish there one day of our 4-day visit. There wasn't much to choose from in this area of the Wind River Range, but this house would be a nice stay if it was located anywhere. It was an easy drive to some beautiful hikes in the National Forest around the Wind River Range. The house was very nicely furnished, particularly the living room, which was a comfortable place to hang out or read.

Tranquil Retreat: Perfect for a Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I spent a delightful week at this cabin while visiting family at Brooks Lake, a cherished annual tradition. If you prefer not to camp but want a peaceful retreat east of Jackson, Wyoming, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, this cabin is perfect. Anna, the owner, was an exceptional and gracious host. The cabin is beautifully situated among trees, overlooking a tranquil lake. The outdoor patio was a lovely spot to enjoy coffee or wine while watching the fish jump in the lake. The cabin's decor is thoughtfully chosen, from the draperies to the living room furniture. This is also ideal for those working remotely—you can balance work with plenty of exploration and visit the national parks. Conveniently located off US-26, the cabin is easy to access. We would highly recommend you book a stay.

Fantastic Stay

The location and view are the best at this place. It's pretty far away from a lot of the busier areas like Jackson/Jackson Hole. Be prepared to drive a lot. We took a UTV and found many forest trails nearby. The hosts are FANTASTIC and fun. The view is unmatched.

Great get-away.

Anna. We loved your fisherman’s cabin and the surrounding ranch land, with the horses, river, lake and wild life. I will recommend it to my friends. My husband and I spent hours sitting on the deck and watching the fish jump. The cabin is very comfortable and well appointed. A very relaxing vacation.

Peaceful

Truly an amazing experience. Lelio and Anna are so friendly and welcoming. It was such a peaceful home base after sight seeing in Yellowstone and fishing all around Wyoming. Although we didn’t get a chance to fish the pond -there were some monsters in there that we could see!

Wyoming at its best

I rented this place with the intention of fishing the region, well, I didn’t have to go anywhere! Anna and Lelio were so gracious and accommodating, from welcoming me with chocolates, to making sure I had everything I needed. What I didn’t expect was to come as a guest and leave feeling like family. I cannot wait to bring my boys back here to go fishing and enjoy the area. What I didn’t mention was the incredible fishing on the property, if your wise, spend time on the lake, you won’t regret it! Thanks again!

Peaceful spot on the River

Fisherman's Cabin is quiet, comfortable place to stay away from all the tourist. The back porch overlooks a small lake and the Wind River. The cabin is nicely stocked with everything you need. It is on a private Ranch 23 miles from Dubois. You can walk and fish the river here or make local arrangements to fish the stocked lake. Anna and Lelio are amazing hosts who checked with us frequently and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The Dubois area is one of our favorite places to fish and hike. Carpets of wildflowers and awesome mountains are just a short drive from the cabin. It is also an easy drive to Dubois, Jackson and Yellowstone. You can come back to the cabin and enjoy the beauty of a quiet lake in the evening without the crowds. The cabin is not fancy but very comfortable. It is a great place in the beautiful valley with wonderful hospitality. Thanks Anna and Lelio. We look forward to returning to the cabin.

Just what you need

We chose Anna and Leilo’s charming property due to the proximity to the Grand Tetons and promise of privacy. If you value peaceful, quiet nights, love nature and want the comforts of home without paying Jackson Hole prices, this is the place for you. Don’t worry about being too hot because somehow, the Fisherman’s Cabin stayed blissfully cool despite scorcher days. While neither of us fish, we loved hearing the history behind the well-stocked fishing lake and the rest of the historic property. They are so close to the Tetons and Shoshone National Forest, you can plan out a full day without any worries and then enjoy relaxing back at the Ranch watching Anna and Leilo talk to their horses or tend to their retired sled dogs. They are two special people who love sharing their piece of nature with visitors and we were just fortunate to be in their midst. Do pay attention to the high altitude which is no joke and stock up on your groceries before you arrive to make the most of your stay, but know that Anna and Leilo will do their best to help you if they can. Their knowledge of the biking and hiking areas plus all the literature in the cabin was invaluable. We can’t wait to come back to “Due-boys” for another visit with our new friends.

Incredible!

I reserved this cabin for my fiancé and his son to celebrate his 21st birthday. And to give him some father and son bonding time, which is a rare pleasure. Nestled along the Wind River in Dubois, Wyoming, this wonderful property Is everything he had hoped for. The cottage hugs a stocked trout pond with panoramic views of the Absaroka Mountains and the Wind River curling the front of the ranch . The property was exceptionally neat with anything you might need, including an awesome coffee maker, large fridge, bear spray for the back forty curious and a perfect deck to enjoy the evening peace. If you are coming to hike, The Grand Tetons are about an hour’s ride to the trailhead. The little sleepy town of Dubois is twenty minutes from the cabin and offers a myriad of eateries to grab an elk burger or enjoy a juicy steak. If you prefer a town with a lot more action and activities, then take a day trip to Jackson Hole. The town is right out of a story book with amazing shops, food spots, art galleries and of course a fly fishing shop for those itching anglers. Their hosts for the week, Anna and Lelio, were nothing short of warm and friendly. They catered to anything they needed and shared a little history about their lovely acreage. Thank you for the great experience for my family. It was nothing short of spectacular!

Picturesque & Serene

Everything it purported to be and more. The ranch grounds are wonderful to explore in and of itself. The cabin is very comfortable and inviting - almost hard to leave to visit the nearby parks. We were greeted personally by Lelio the morning after arriving … what a wonderful soul! The only challenge was arriving after dark. The instructions don’t mention the little gates that keep the horses in; and you can’t see the lake or cabin - so a bit hard to get oriented - but all worked out well.

Amazing property and host!

Anna and Lelio went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay at their ranch. This fisherman’s cabin was so relaxing and cozy. If you have any doubts about fishing in their private stocked pond, put those doubts to bed! This was my first time to fly fish for trout and I am proud to say I caught some amazing and beautiful trout! We will be visiting again and spending more time around Dubois!

Beautiful Ranch Retreat

I found Anna’s property for my friend’s wedding weekend in Jackson, and I am so glad I stayed longer! This cabin is idyllic, no-fuss, perfectly charming. The setting is gorgeous, and having the deck overlooking the trout filled pond was super peaceful. Anna greeted me when I arrived and made me feel totally at home. The cabin was appointed with all the amenities to include fire wood which I used in the wood stove one night. I haven’t slept that good in a long time. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much Anna!!!

A Hidden Gem

We stayed at one of Anna and Lelio's cabins in late-January. The property was spectacular. It had everything you could possibly need and way more. Then there are Anna and Lelio. They were two of the most amazing people we've met in a long time. They're interesting, caring, and took exceptional care that our trip was perfect. We can't say enough about them, their property, their dogs, and the whole experience. Thank you!

Anna and Lelio are simply the best. They are terrific hosts. Warm and friendly. Would recommend.

The ranch is a beautiful property nestled along the Wind River and Lava Creek. The hosts are the most gracious people. I would definitely return and would recommend to anyone wanting quiet seclusion. It’s located close to Dubois for supplies and to the Tetons and Yellowstone for pleasure. We stayed in the Fisherman’s cabin right on the beautiful lake. It was a wonderful experience.

We can’t say enough good about Lelio and Anna! This places is beautiful and quiet and they are the best hosts. They make sure we have everything we needed. We told them our interests and the explained where to go, even printed out maps for us. We seen places we never would have gone to on our own. We are already making plans to come back with our adult kids. This will be our getaway spot from on now. Loved it!!!
