This cottage is steeped in history, very clean, all amenities have been carefully chosen to have a great self catering stay.
What makes this cottage stand out is the local people and pub 2 doors down The Stag, where you can enjoy beautiful food and cocktails surrounded by the nicest staff and locals.
The area has beautiful walks, it is central for the Norfolk Broads and seaside areas, with the cleanest beaches.
There is lots to see and do in Norfolk it’s well worth a visit for either a long weekend or like us a week.
Would recommend Braemar cottage for families and couples.
High quality property. Very clean, furnished to very very high standard. Well equipped. Small garden but dog safe, except the there’s a Laurel plant in neighbouring garden with berries that drop into garden. Dog owners need to be aware of this. That aside we’d definitely stay again. Recommended.
This is the cleanest holiday let I've ever stayed in. for once, the photos on the web site were accurate and the house is just beautiful. Everything in the house is of the best quality and it is absolutely the best equipped kitchen. Lovely house, lovely setting. I would recommend to anyone.
Cottage was lovely. Particularly spacious accommodation downstairs. Its history was really interesting. Thank you for leaving the book about the history of Salhouse Broad for visitors to read.
We had a fantastic stay at Braemar. The house was in a brilliant condition, and the styling and decoration throughout was immaculate. The kitchen was the best equipt house we have ever stayed in, it had everything you need and more.
The hosts have thought of everything and were extremely helpful, the guest book had great local info and they provided a great array of pamphlets on activities in the area.
Salhouse is a stunning little village and fantastically positioned to access the Broads in general.
The dog was made welcome with treats and dog bowls, the garden is contained so she could potter around without us worrying she would escape. And the hosts had also left some drinks & nibbles to welcome us all after our journey.
We had a lovely two weeks here and would not hesitate to recommend Braemar as a place to stay while visiting this beautiful part of the world.
Lovely property with all necessary conveniences. Nicely stocked kitchen making meals really easy to cook. Number of separate sitting rooms allowing space and quiet areas for relaxing and reading. Property in easy reach of the broads, coast and Norwich.
could have done with a few more dishwasher tablets and loo roles but they are minor issues . Overall a beautiful holiday home. I would highly recommend.
The cottage was amazing. Very well equipped and wonderful comfy beds.
Only one thing missing and that’s a fan for warm nights in bedroom.
One tiny fault was the shower head needs descaling as water shuts out in all directions
Wonderful stay in a wonderful house. All beds luxuriously comfortable. Communication friendly and helpful.
Just needed a teabag and a drop of milk on arrival to make it perfect. 😊
A place like home where the owners clearly have spent a great deal of time putting loving detail into a TrueType beautiful place. We were in the area for a family funeral and the accommodation provided a safe reflective place to remember our loved one.
We absolutely loved our stay. Braemar is a stunning, spacious and very well equipped, thatched cottage in a scenic location. We were able to explore the broads, coast and city. Salhouse Broad is perfect for kyaking and paddle boarding. We visited Norwich (we caught the train from Salhouse) Wells, Holkham, Cromer (Walk out passed the beach huts to spot the Banksy) West Runton (great for fossil hunting!) Horsey Gap (Seal spotting!) Winterton, The Tank Museum, Wroxham and Stalham Broad. The children loved chilling in the den, playing on the Xbox. We loved relaxing in the quiet rooms and in the garden. It’s definitely a holiday property that a family can spread out in and feel at home.
Beautiful, newly renovated 1700 year old cottage.
Owners have spared no expense in the updating and furnishing of this three bedroom cottage. Everything is to a high standard.
