About this property

Sitting on the south side of the lake, Oxbow cottage has 70 feet of beautiful lake front with a 40ft dock. the north side of the lake is state owned and home to wildlife and gorgeous mountain views. Surrounded by hiking and snowmobile trails, ranked cleanest lake in the Adirondacks, Oxbow offers great year round adventures for the outdoors enthusiast.
The Cottage
full foundation, insulated and updated with modern amenities, including washer/dryer, propane furnace, and dishwasher allowing for rural scenery with urban luxuries. Centrally located in the Adirondacks and mimicking Adirondack style, the cottage has wood floors and walls and rustic decor.
Outdoors
A large patio with outdoor furniture, gas grill, picnic table, fire pit and Adirondack chairs offer relaxation next to the water's edge. Swimming and sunbathing, 2 canoes and 1 paddle boat for use as well as, fishing poles. Across the lake is a popular rope swing for those seeking extra water fun.
Fall
The falls foliage is breathtaking along the lake and mountain views across the lake.
Pets
The yard is fenced in for pets.
We keep our cottage clean and request the same from renters. No Pets on the furniture please.

Peaceful getaway

My husband and I stayed in the cabin with our dogs for his birthday weekend. It was beautiful on the water, the dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard and we got in some excellent relaxing. The cabin had everything you need for convenience and comfort. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Went for a weekend with friends (6 of us) and the stay was great. Locating the house at night is a bit confusing but contacted the owner and got everything resolved quickly. Place was great for a lake side cabin and would recommend.

Summer get-away

Beautiful location! Cabin has everything that is needed for a perfect get-away. Cute, comfortable and the location is right on the water. Quiet and friendly neighbors, quiet lake for fishing and kayaking and the bonfire pit right on the water edge is the perfect place to relax! We enjoyed our week so much, I came home and booked again for next summer already!

Perfect lakeside retreat.

Bird lovers paradise

This is our second time staying at the cabin at Oxbow and love everything about it. The Eagle, Heron, Ducks, Humminbirds, Kingfishers and especially Loons made our stay magical. The fishing was great, and the twilight campfires on lakes edge were the perfect end to the day.

nice getaway

We enjoyed the views from the place. The lake is just feet away and can be viewed from the kitchen/living area thru the great expanse of windows. The fenced in yard was just right for our dog as she is not one to challenge the enclosure. Although it is very close to other properties, no one else was there so it was very private and quiet.

Quick family get away

It was a perfect little place to get away to with my kids and our dogs. Loved the fenced in yard for the pups!! The view was amazing! My family and I had a great time and absolutely plan to come again! The kitchen was well stocked pretty much everything you need is provided! Thanks for having us !

Perfect Peaceful Getaway

The cottage was cute, cozy and comfortable. The lake was absolutely beautiful. Our family kayaked every day and collectively caught over 30 fish! We used the fire pit on nice nights and watched movies on the rainy ones. The owners were quick to respond to messages and were gracious hosts.

Love this cottage!

Second year in a row we stayed in this wonderful home for our MLK Weekend ski trip at Oak Mountain. Perfect for our family. The home is so cozy, warm and well appointed. Only challenge is the short road off of Route 8 to the cottage which is quite steep and is not possible to navigate in ice or snow without the correct vehicle but not a serious problem for us.

We had a good time. It was disappointing that some neighbors arrived on July 3 with friends and built a fire that burned all day with lots of smoke that drifted into our cabin and who made a lot of noise that night. It was the day it rained all day, June 30. Wish you had a canoe!!

Amazing views

This was our second trip to this property. The lake views were just stunning! The cabin is so close to the clear water you can see fish from the living room! We loved to watch and hear the wildlife, especially the loons. Our chocolate lab had a ball swimming! The cabin is stocked with anything you might need. We highly recommend this little slice of heaven!

Fun at the lake

This cozy cabin exceeded our expectations. Beautifully situated on lake Oxbow, the cabin was clean, spacious, comfortable and provided all the items needed to enjoy our vacation. The view of the lake was breathtaking. We were so pleased to be able to walk right outside the door and enjoy lake activities. The outside included chairs on the porch, a grill, a fire pit and a nice big lawn area. The pet friendly policy was a blessing. The fence surrounding the property allowed my dog to roam freely while keeping him safe. All in all a great place that I would recommend for adults and/or a family with children and for the family that travels with their fur baby.

Oxbow Cottage sits right on Oxbow Lake with level ground. The cottage has been fully updated from a seasonal camp to a year round house and sits on private Oxbow lake located between Lake Pleasant and Piseco Lake offering all the local summer and winter outdoor activities and beautiful scenery.
