About this property
Charnwood Cottage, Burnham Market, Norfolk
Tucked away down a quiet lane in the popular Georgian village of Burnham Market, 18th century Charnwood Cottage is a beautifully curated traditional brick and flint hideaway. Comprising of a main house and an self-contained annexe, exquisitely decorated in neutral tones inspired by nature and the nearby coastline, this property offers grandeur and evokes feelings of tranquillity.
An inviting sitting room offers comfy seating appointed around a wood burning stove. With a Smart television and a selection of books provided, guests will revel in nestling in after a day spent in the big outdoors, as warmth and ambient light fill the room. A well-equipped country kitchen hosts modern appliances and ample worktop space for rustling up a delicious meal made from the area's famous local produce. Leading through to a rustic styled dining area, where natural light floods in through the lantern roof, seating for six guests is available around a traditional farmhouse table. Perfect for gathering together to plan the day ahead over a coffee from the Nespresso machine, or for sharing food, wine and conversation long into the evening. Bi-fold doors open up onto the beautifully designed courtyard garden. Upstairs on the first floor, two bedrooms have been prepared with high quality linens, and decorated in a muted colour palette to ensure that guests experience a much-needed restorative deep sleep. The handsome master bedroom hosts a king-size bed with garden views, and bedroom two provides a sumptuous double bed. These bedrooms are served by a good-size shower room with large walk-in shower.

Thoughtfully curated to make the most of the available space, this quaint additional accommodation provides a sitting area with Smart television, a beautifully furnished bedroom hosting a super king-size bed served by a bathroom featuring bath with rainfall shower over, and a well-equipped kitchenette. Ideal for guests who prefer a bit of privacy away from the main house, the annexe is makes a delightfully romantic escape. Outside, the enclosed garden between the main house and annexe has been tastefully planted to showcase colour and movement throughout the seasons. A large patio area with rattan seating makes the perfect social idyllic spot to share a tranquil moment, and perhaps a carafe of wine. On sunny days when al fresco dining from the charcoal barbecue beckons, a large outdoor dining table and chairs are hosted on a raised terraced.
