Amazing location, wonderful host

Pictures cannot do this property justice, it is in a stunning location. Robyn is a wonderful host who could not do enough for us. The property is small but has everything we needed and is perfect for two, we stayed a week and were so sad to leave. The exterior of the property is a real treasure, gardens tended by the host and a rooftop terrace to soak up the summer sun, very private. The property is on a wonderful street, leading from the port to the town, Dinan is simply beautiful. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to return.

August stay

Everything was thoughtfully organised in the apartment and the garden is a lovely peaceful retreat. Great location in the town and near the river for walking and cycling. Advise parking at the top of the hill if you can as its tricky manoevring on the hill. Thank you Robyn.

Wonderful stay in a quaint secret garden

We loved our stay in this comfortable accomodation. Her garden inside the walled area is so beautiful and delightful to sit in and relax. We even used the barbeque one evening as the weather was amazing. Robyn is an amazing host and gives far more than is expected of her time and in what she provides for her guests ( muffins and wine on arrival). The setting is so convenient to explore Dinan, as is it literally in the middle of town on one of the cobbled roads. The only down, if it is a down is that the parking is extremely steep and is tight. We walked everywhere in Dinan and then hired bikes nearby and cycled on the Voie Vert to St Malo and Dinard and then the opposite way down the river as well and loved it. We also explored the coast for a day.

You Won't Find a Better Stay

Loved our cottage stay within this quaint little medieval town. This is an excellent place to submerse yourself in Dinan & the surrounding areas. Robyn and Ross were such lovely hosts, they really went out of their way to look after us. You'll totally feel at home here. The cottage was impeccably clean, well organised & comfortable. We even had homemade treats on arrival. Our highlight was the impeccable 2 tier garden setting. You'll love every moment while staying here!

Beautiful cottage and gardens in the centre of Dinan

Absolutely fantastic stay here that I would quite happily recommend to anyone. Tucked away off the street that leads from Dinan town to the port, 2 mins walk to shops/restaurants and yet quiet and secluded. The two gardens are both delightful, a lovely place to end the day with a bottle of wine after sightseeing. Really thoughtful welcome basket with homemade muffins and jam and a bottle of wine was a lovely way to start the trip (and the tomatoes from the garden were delicious). A great central location and very easy to drive to the beach (25mins) and other pretty Brittany towns. I could have quite easily spent longer here, there is so much to see in the area. Thanks Robyn, I'm sure you'll be seeing us again at some point.

Best kept secret

From the moment you walk into the beautiful country garden the property is a delightful surprise. With a warm friendly welcome from Robyn and Molly ( the most beautiful miniature cockapoo ) you are shown around the property, eager to make sure you feel at home. The attention to detail is a credit to Robyn as she has thought of everything including a bottle of wine in the welcome pack!! We had an arrangement of flowers which I thought were silk as they were so perfect - turns out everything from the garden arranged by Robyn - beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the tranquil garden with a glass of wine in the evenings - so peaceful. We cannot recommend this property enough and we look forward to our next visit. Thank you Robyn

Great Place

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage, Robyn and Ross are great hosts, and Molly the dog. Nice touches such as home made Jam, muffins, and wine on our arrival. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Dinan has lots of places to visit in the town, and Robyn is very knowledgeable of the area, a great place to stay!

beautiful town, beautiful property

we always relax in Dinan, but the comfort of this place was top class, and everything enhanced by the friendliness and helpfulness of Robyn. The weather was exceptional for mid-October, which meant we could also enjoy the lovely garden.

Magical!

It's hard to believe that just off the bustling, cobbled street lies this enchanting house with gardens on 2 levels. We spent 12 nights in Albertine and explored Dinan and many wonderful sights in Brittany. It was always lovely to return to the peaceful haven of Albertine and chill out in the beautiful gardens. Robyn was a wonderful hostess who ensured we had everything we needed at all times. From the welcome goodie pack including wine and home made muffins to the gorgeous bed linen we felt truly spoilt! Highly recommended.

A garden of Eden in Paradise.

Robyn gave us the warmest of welcomes and made us feel at home immediately. The garden and the cottage were exactly what I had dreamed of but the whole property exceeded my expectations. The cottage was well equipped, clean and cosy. The bedroom was perfect with beautiful linen. Robyn was the perfect hostess and nothing we asked was too hard. We loved Dinan and the cottage was in an easy reach of great restaurants and shops. I would recommend this property to anyone and plan to return next year.

Beyond expectations!

Albertine was the best find ever! We loved the accommodation, the setting and the secret gardens. Spotlessly clean and a great welcome package (especially the muffins). Robyn and Ross made us immediately welcome. We would thoroughly recommend Albertine to anyone visiting this area of France. Molly the cockapoo was the icing on the cake. Thank you. A fabulous relaxing holiday

Albertine is restful and secluded yet in prime location on the cobbled road leading up into the walled town of Dinan or straight down to the little river port. Exploring the town and its excellent eating houses contrasted with river bank walls - fabulous! Albertine is well appointed and delightful. Robyn is an excellent host, nothing is too much trouble. The garden provides a beautifully scented haven for relaxing and al fresco eating, a real gem!

A little oasis in Dinan

We had a wonderful time staying in Albertine. The property is on the "cosy" side but is well equipped, clean and very comfy. The garden is phenomenal and a really peaceful little oasis that you can relax in (we enjoyed a wonderful BBQ while admiring the views of historic Dinan). Robyn, the owner, is a brilliant host - from the welcome muffins and bottle of wine, to the home made jam, the help with laundry, running me out to the supermarket to get food, and even accommodating our 6-month old daughter, we can't thank her enough for making our stay a wonderful one.

This magical cottage will take you back in time!

It is an absolute pleasure to write a review for Albertine! We rent often from HomeAway and this wonderful little cottage makes the top of the list. The most amazing part is the setting in a very private, fabulous cottage garden full of flowers and roses and spread over 2 levels. The location is perfect as it is just off the loveliest historic street of Dinan. It is also in walking distance of many restaurants and the Center of the Old Town. The hostess, Robyn, and her little poodle Molly could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, freshly baked muffins and flowers in a vase from the garden. Just as I was about to ask, Robyn offered to do our laundry. Just as we were getting a little chilly, she turned on the heat! The cottage itself is spotless, very cozy and very well appointed. Great WiFi! We had everything we needed and more. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone. We were sad to have to leave and hope to return some day!

A place to return to ....

Such a pretty place with beautiful, relaxing gardens (one being a "secret" garden, accessed up a spiral staircase, which, was very relaxing, especially with the melodic chimes hanging from the tree. The gite was very welcoming and spotless, with crisp clean bedding. Robyn went out of her way to make us welcome (as did Molly, the cutest, friendliest little cockerpoodle!). Location perfect to explore Dinan and also easy to get down to the Port, where we cycled along the river. We very much appreciated the bottle of wine and homemade raspberry jam and the "double helping" of raspberry muffins.

Charming cottage and hosts

Excellent the only drawback is that you'd want to spend the whole time in the lovely garden rather than exploring the local area which has got lots to offer.

Albertine, beautiful gite with a beautiful garden

We stayed in Robyn's beautiful gite for a week. It's simply stunning with the most picturesque gardens set in the prettiest location. Robyn has thought of everything you might need and more. She is unobtrusive but on hand for any advice on places to visit and for information about the local area. She met us at the train station and guided us back to Albtertine, where we were greeted by home made muffins & a bottle of wine. We will definitely visit here again as Robyn and her little dog Molly (who is a real show stealer) made us feel like it was a home from home.

Albertine Cottage

Our host Robyn arranged to meet us at the railway station in Dinan as it was our first visit and we were driving. On arrival at Albertine we found the cottage to be spotlessly clean. Robyn had left us a bottle of wine, home made muffins and preserve. It felt like a home from home as we had a vase of fresh flowers cut from the garden and candles in the fireplace. It was a bonus being able to use the BBQ and eat in the garden. Robyn was very helpful giving us advise on where to eat out and places to visit . The cottage is ideally situated between the historic old town and the port. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it to friends and family. Thank you Robyn, Ross and little Molly.

Superb location, superb cottage, superb owner

We arrived in Dinan and struggled to find property as it is located down winding roads. However, Robyn came to meet us at the car and directed us. The cottage is amazing, you are immediately welcomed into the fabalous garden, which is very private. Robyn cannot do enough for you, explains everything in the cottage and giving us suggestions for places to visit and restuarants. The cottage is perfect for a couple seeking a romantic getaway. Car parking is easy, located 2 minute walk away. We travelled from the UK and had no issues at all. Th cottage has everything you need such as kettle, hairdryer, wifi etc. Robyn welcomed us with homemade cakes and a bottle of wine and rightly so, is very proud of her cottages. There are 2 gardens, so you can always fond your own space if you just want to be on your own. Highly recommended, would definately go to Albertine cottage again.

Just perfect

It's rare that properties live up to their reviews but Albertine, Robyn and Molly really do. It's a delightful, picture-book place in the ideal location. It's clean, warm (we chose a winter visit) and well-equipped. Robyn makes it seem like staying with friends - not at all intrusive but all-welcoming and helpful. Molly is a a treasure. The garden is a lovely spot - even in November! Strongly recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous and welcoming

Albertine and Dinan were the perfect haven after an incredibly long journey from New Zealand. Robyn and Molly (cute dog) greeted us and made us very welcome. Albertine is a delightful cottage with all that you require, and the outside garden setting added wonderful ambience and space. The welcome muffins, preserve and wine, went down a treat and set the tone for the whole week. Dinan is a very special town and the positioning of Robyn's cottage is fantastic. We had a car and parking was no problem just up the road. We would recommend Robyn's cottages 100%, and if we were lucky enough to return to Brittany we would definitely stay at Robyn's. Dinan is a great destination and base for the many wonderful attractions nearby.

Beautiful town and perfect little place

Albertine was wonderful. Robyn greeted us with wine, fresh home made muffins, home made jam and a very warm welcome. The cottage was cosy and in keeping with the whole feel of the town and our holiday. It's tucked away behind the shops so it's quiet and private, allowing you to enjoy the gardens, but still close to all the shops and restaurants which means you don't think twice about ordered another bottle of wine. The surrounds are beautiful, we recommend getting on the bikes and going for a ride. All in all I'd 100% recommend, short or long stay.
