Outstanding apartment (with many stairs) in a great central location close to Atocha Station and museums. Quiet, with excellent access to markets and restaurants. Nicely equipped kitchen, as well. Everything worked perfectly.
A lovely place, with beautiful old tiled floors, stained glass, and wooden shutters, but very modern kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms are widely separated so there is a lot of privacy, and one has its own sitting room. Very comfortable living room. The owner and a helper were very available on WhatsApp. I would love to stay there again.
Great location, convenient to main attractions in a nice neighborhood. Clean and comfortable apartment where we each had our own bedroom and bathroom which is great for three women traveling together.
Large, clean and comfortable flat only 5 minutes walk from Atocha station. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room to move around and well stocked with all the necessities. Lots of restaurants nearby, along with grocery stores and pharmacy. Host was very accommodating to our requests. Would definitely recommend staying here.
This property was very well located near the center of the city. We were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to see, as well as explore spots that locals enjoy. It was also very easy to get to from the train station on foot, and back to the airport by bus. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for all 7 of our party. The host was easy to work with as well. I would highly recommend this property.
We loved this beautiful, authentic apartment for our Madrid exploration! We traveled with our adult daughter and her partner, and there was a lot of space and privacy for two couples. There is an additional twin bedroom for larger groups, and plenty of bathroom space as well. The patio was lovely and the only preparation to be aware of is that it is a 3 floor walk up (amazing marble staircases!) which was fine for our group but might be a challenge for those with limited mobility.
Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed staying in this apartment. I thought that the apartment was very nicely decorated, the kitchen was very well appointed and the location was fairly quiet considering being in the middle of the city. We enjoyed coming home at the end of the day to this bright and comfortable apartment. Additionally, Santiago was very responsive and helpful.
Great property. Spacious. Everything you need except coffee pot. Checkout can be difficult as you leave key in unit then you can’t get out street door. Be sure to have someone hold street door open. Be sure you have correct garage location if you have a car. Parking is no added cost and is close. Note that there are a lot of steps to get up to apartment. Would stay here again
Our Family of 4 had a wonderful stay last week in this renovated flat in the center of Madrid. The location could not be beat as we were right next to the train/metro station where we arrived and were within a 5 minute walk of Museo Sofia Renia as well as many other beautiful plazas and attractions. We also were very close to many supermarkets, shopping, and El Parque Retiro where we enjoyed 2 mornings of running! The flat is beautiful and decorated in a very cool and funky style. We really liked the personal touches. The balcony overlooking the tree lined street below and beaux-art apartment buildings was just phenomenal for morning cafe con leche. In addition the flat was very spacious and we had 2 queen bed and 2 twin beds and 3 modern bathrooms w/3 toilets and showers as well. Economically this makes much more sense than booking 2 hotel rooms which we sometimes do. It was also so convenient to have our own kitchen for breakfast so that all 3 meals did not have to be eaten out. Santiago permitted us to drop our bags before official check in as well which was super helpful. We felt as though we were really living in Madrid for the 4 nights we stayed here. We highly recommend this stay!
This place had all we needed. A kitchen where we could prepare meals rather than eat out, several nearby groceries stores, nearby metro to get around. Individual bedrooms. Each person had their own bathroom which was nice. The back, large bedroom area is amazing. This is a big apartment.
Other good thing: less than 10 minute walk to main train station. We took train to Madrid, and easily walked to the apartment.
If you look at a map you'll see near the train station there are other big sites, Prado, Reine Sophia, Glass Palace, so all within walking distance.
There's a washing machine to use. I can never figure out these european washing machines but we hit enough buttons until things got washed. No dryer, you have to use the drying racks you'll find in the back room. No big deal.
Showers were good. Beds were comfortable. Large dining room table was very handy at dinner.
So, the one thing...the 65 steps (we counted them) to get to the room. My sister in law finally found religion because she prayed each time we climbed them after a day of exploring Madrid. To me, healthy 57 year old, no big deal. If you are out of shape or have mobility problems, it might be a challenge.
Overall, this was a good place. I would definitely stay here again.
