Ugly Duckling Cottage
We love the cosy romantic feel of this cute and quirky cottage with its original features, the charm of exposed stone walls and wooden beams, located in the quiet village of Broughton-in-Furness.. Ground Floor:
Living room: Smart TV, Electric Fire
Kitchen/dining room: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher
First Floor:
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . On road parking. No smoking.. As soon as you walk through the front door, you step into the cosy living room, with its exposed stone and oak beams, and instantly get a warm feeling. The comfy sofa offers the perfect place to cuddle up after a busy day’s fun in the Lakes. Moving through there is a well-appointed kitchen/dining area with all the appliances and space you need to prepare anything from a picnic to a romantic dinner for two. Upstairs you’ll find a comfortable kingsize bed to ensure a sound night’s sleep, which also boasts an en-suite shower room.
Broughton-in-Furness is a lovely quiet village which offers a great base from which to explore the sights and attractions of the Southern Lakes area. There are local shops including a butcher and bakery for fresh produce, and a couple of nice pubs. Many of the Lake District’s attractions are within easy reach from Broughton, such as Coniston Water, which is a mere 15 minutes’ drive, or maybe the coastal nature reserve of Duddon Mosses which is only 5 minutes.
There is truly something for everyone; whether you love the outdoors and walking, cycling or climbing are your passions, or maybe you prefer Michelin star restaurants and spa days, it’s all available and within a short drive away. If the safari zoo or aquarium are more your thing, museums, stately homes and gardens are how you enjoy spending your time, there is something for everyone.
