About this property
GREAT location across from YMCA. Can accommodate LARGE groups
This newly built home in 2017 with a Rustic Minimalist Design is ideal for large groups and has an open air feel. It is conveniently located less than a mile from the main street in Fish Creek (across from the YMCA). It has a wooded backyard where you and your guests can have a campfire and have a cookout. There are 4 bedrooms with King beds on the main level as well as 2 bathrooms. The kitchen has a huge Rustic Island with seating for 11 as well as a Separate Dining area for 8. On the second level, there is a large bedroom with a King size bed as well as a connecting area with a bathroom and bunkbeds (perfect for a family of 4). The second level floors are plank style (wood) which adds to the character of this home, but creates an atmosphere that is not sound proof. Also on the second level is another King Bedroom, a bathroom, and an additional bedroom with two twin beds. There are two spacious living areas in this home as well as a sitting room/coffee area. All linens are provided for guests as well as bathroom towels. The home has all the amenities you need: Large refrigerator, an extra refrigerator, beverage cooler, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig, washer and dryer, dishwasher and more! Please note that this home has a two bedroom unit next to it. There is also a large home and an additional two bedroom unit in the backyard (shared driveway with this house). In no way will those units affect your stay, however some guests like to know. The home is not as private as it was prior to 2023.

This house was perfect for our large extended family to stay in! The flooring on the upper levels is just 2x6 that have cracks between them so privacy wasn’t the best but worked for a short stay.
We had a large group and had lots of space to spread out or hang out. Lots of bathrooms. We were close to shopping, trolley and very nice restaurants (Alexander’s was amazing). Door county never disappoints!
Overall the space was great for our group. Very close to downtown fish creek, walking distance to a cute bakery/coffee shop. The floor boards are see through between each boards so you can see up or down to the rooms/bathrooms directly above or below you, which was off but overall we still enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

We have stayed in much better and less noisy places before.
We did lije being so close to town
We came for a girls golf trip and everyone loved the house. The house was very clean, all the beds were very comfortable, and the house was beautifully decorated. Great location-would highly recommend this house!!
Our multi- family group was very comfortable for a week.
Home is comfy and well appointed / modern!
Plenty of space in and out!
My only concern would be the design is very open and thus we could hear each other very easily.
Overall great property.
House was exactly as pictured. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Would definitely recommend for a larger group. Plenty of beds and space to hang out. Overall a wonderful place to stay!
We had a girls weekend at this property and it was absolutely perfect for our group! The layout of the house was great for a large group- we could tell the details were well thought out. The location was also great and we enjoyed restaurants and the Door County Wine Trolley (they picked us up at the house). Definitely recommend this property.
This spot was great for a large family (though, noise carries so beware!). We had so much space and didn't feel like we were piled on top of each other! The space itself was beautiful and clean and a perfect spot to lounge. The location is right near the entrance of Peninsula State Park and within a 25 minute drive of other areas like Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point. Communication with the host was easy and we resolved a broken coffee maker within one hour! Amazing. Would definitely book again.
The property was very spacious and a great spot to accommodate our group.
As noted in the listing, noise does travel throughout the house, we found the lower bedrooms to be louder than the upstairs.
Overall, it was a great spot and we would book again.

Unsatisfied
The yard was nothing at all. No place for us to play our usual games. Your cleaning lady wanted to run us over when we were using the road to play a game. She looked really crabby.
Perfect place if you have a large group. We had plenty of enough places for people to sleep. We really enjoyed the large living room, island and three fridges. In walking distance from good parts of town
Our first two nights I had my kids and two grandchildren with me. Two nights for my daughter’s bachelorette party and the last night was a relaxation day. House was perfect for a large group of people.
This was a great spot for our large group of varying ages! We were in town for the run and this house is super close to peninsula state park and near the shuttle services into and out of the park.
There are two fridges which was great for all the food we brought in, and lots of space to dine and lots of cooking utensils for us to make dinner.
Yes, the layout is different and sound does carry - we found all the kids were fine with their sound machines - I’d maybe recommend portable curtains if your kids (like mine) normally sleep in a very dark room - we brought ours and all our kids slept pretty well!
The size of the place and kitchen provisions were great. We spent every evening out at the fire pit chatting and enjoying the outdoors. The only issue we had was that sound travels easily when kids are around. The slits in the upstairs floorboards permitted quite a bit of sound to travel throughout the house, preventing people from having a quiet area.
All in all, it was a great place to stay.
The big complaint……a worthless coffee pot. It needs to be put in the dumpster. It took so long to brew a pot, that both mornings, we had to get 8 cups of coffee at the coffee shop.
For the price, check out at 10…..seemed way too early.
The home was lovely and rendered itself perfect for families.
We are a group pf women who have been together since our
College graduation 45 years ago. We meet each year at a different destination. This home was comfortable and spacious in a great llocation. Immaculately clean, and beautiful decor. Host was readily available for our questions.
The coffeepot didn't work for us and a new one arrived within a very short time. Thank you.☕️

Weekend trip
House is a good value. In a great location. A lot of space for people to spread out. Should be communicated that the floors are open and you can see and hear everything from everywhere in the house. I think a lot of people were uncomfortable with there just being no real barriers. Communication was uncomfortable at a point in the trip with the manager. Otherwise kitchen set up was everything you need and land was beautiful.
We had a great time! The house is not private - including bathrooms. If your ok with that, then you’ll love it. Fun layout but the walls don’t go all the way up in some rooms and no insulation between floors. Upstairs is warm, downstairs is cold and you can see thru the shiplap floors to the floors above/below.
My family of 20 (ages 72 down to 5) enjoyed six days at this property. The beds were all comfy (SIX king beds!) and the kitchen is nice and spacious. LOVED the gigantic island with seating. Two fridges were so handy with this big group. Two living areas was helpful as well. The kids built a killer fort in the woods. Outdoor space is fantastic. Nice and quiet spot for a large group. The only downside is that the upstairs floors are slatted wood with no insulation whatsoever. You can see through the upstairs floors down into ALL the rooms below. We brought box fans to help cut down on the noise for those who went to bed earlier and woke up earlier. All in all, solid place to stay. I would stay here again.

Beautiful house with a few glitches
Upon arrival, the house is beautiful. Nice design and decorations. However there were a few glitches. If we had the lights on in the kitchen, bathroom and television, the power went out. We had to reset the breaker several times. The other issue was the furnace was in the upstairs. The upstairs was 20 degrees warmer than the first floor.

Troy and I both grew up in a small town just outside of Green Bay. Currently we live in Wrightstown, WI. Together we have three young children. We do own several monthly home rentals in the Green Bay and surrounding area. Fish Creek is where we built our first vacation home rental in 2012.
Why they chose this property
Door County is a favorite vacation spot in Wisconsin! We have brought our children to Fish Creek many times and we all enjoy everything about Fish Creek. There are so many fun activities to do from Camping in Peninsula State park, unique shops and fantastic restaurants.
What makes this property unique
One of the best features of our home is its location. It is so close to the restaurants and shopping, yet the home is very private. It is uniquely decorated with a beach theme that includes a canoe hanging from the ceiling! A lot of thought and a few pinterest ideas were put into this one of a kind home. Got kids coming along? This home even has a small play area just for kids! The kids can keep busy playing traditional boards games while the adults socialize on the main level at the large custom island that seats 11 people! This house is a must see. It is perfect for extended families.
