Stay in Palermo
Good: location, very close to restaurants and everything else. Communication with host Matteo. Apartment generally well equipped.
Bad: both bathrooms were in a poor state, showers leaked and were very small. Black mould all over them. The master bathroom had water coming through the walls from a neighbouring property. It was constantly running down the walls, this was reported and Matteo and he brought out the architect and building manager, but nothing was done. There was also a terrible smell constantly in the bathroom. This was also reported and probably explained the use of multiple air fresheners. The entrance to the property was not nice and potentially unsafe dou yo the condition of the stairs, tiles all chipped and no hand rail for very steep stairs.
Communication was good and Matteo gave recommendations but the bathrooms and entry needs a complete overhaul.
