A great stay in a great location
The house was ideal for our needs, a family gathering with our dogs and young children. The bedrooms and social spaces inside and outside were excellent.
We all agreed we would come back in the future - thanks.

Wonderful autumnal stay in great accommodation in a stunning and peaceful location
We are a family of 6 adults and 2 young children and the accommodation suited us perfectly. The view over the river Spey is stunning especially in autumn and it is a lovely walk from the Croft along the riverbank.
The house is very clean and well equipped providing everything you need. Beds are extremely comfortable and the log burner makes it very cosy. An added bonus is the hot tub and fire pit which we all enjoyed.
Pretty Boat of Garten with its shop, hotel and excellent Andersons restaurant are within walking distance although part of the walk is on the road with no pavement or lights.
The Croft is located close to lovely walks at Loch Morlich and the RSPB ospreys at B of G among many others and Aviemore is within easy reach by car
We would recommend this accommodation for families or groups of friends who enjoy outdoor activities in the beautiful Cairngorms.

Lovely house in a fantastic location
This is our third time in this house, and we love it, the location is idyllic. The house is great for a large family, however there are a few things that need to be either maintained or replaced, but this would not stop us using this house again. The staff at GNL are so helpful, thank you.

Wonderful stay at Croft Kincardine
We loved our week at Boat of Garten. The lodge was perfect and we especially enjoyed the outside space - garden, hot tub, fire pit. Loved evening walks along the river bank to watch the otters. Fantastic light evenings over the longest day and we were able to sit out enjoying the views until late at night. The location was gorgeous. Easy access also to Boat of Garten , Aviemore, loch Morlich etc.
The only problem we had in the lodge was the fridge struggled to keep our food cool and the freezer needed defrosted.

A repeat family stay.
An exceptional weeks stay, helped by surprisingly good weather. Fantastic location a short drive from Boat of Garten with no nearby properties, a good access track, ample private parking, peace and quiet and privacy!
Property is well maintained & spotless, including the surrounding garden & hot tub. Improvements have been made from the previous year with new kitchen & some other redecoration. Outside decking very welcome with lots of birds visiting the feeders and good views of the Spey and surrounding countryside - now that some bushes have been cleared. A nice spot to enjoy a quiet time (with 'refreshments') or an outside BBQ. Property is fully equipped, although wi-fi and t.v. signal can be variable, due to location - this can be a blessing to 'get away from it all'.
Good access to nearby walks/cycle paths and to unspoilt Lochs, but easy access to Boat of Garten, Rothiemurcas and Aviemore, if required. Several welcoming (and challenging) golf courses nearby.
We have already rebooked for 2025!

Wonderful Family Gathering in a Magical Location
From the moment we booked, around eight months ago, we looked forward to our stay at Croft Kincardine and we were not disappointed. We had a magical time. The location, and layout is superb. The feeling of being immersed in nature, with the turf roof, warm wooden construction, nearby badger hide and river was heavenly for us. Croft Kindcardine is a very secluded and private place, with spacious grounds, woodland, and beautiful views from the hot tub! We had easy access to Aviemore with all its activities, a really lovely little village shop in Boat of Garten, stunning mountain scenery but also the amazing native forest of Abernethy. Ideal for a family who loves the outdoors, exploring together, and returning to spacious accommodation to cook together, sit by the log burner and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this woodland lodge.

Lovely week long stay
Our second visit here. Pleased to see the kitchen is being refitted in the coming weeks. We have requested that they supply larger chopping boards and a knife block as the current provision is substandard.
The addition of a hot tub lid mechanism is welcomed.
We would very much recommend a tumble drier as it's near impossible to get clothes that are washed. Dried without causing every available radiator!
Overall, it's very good! We are heading back next year.

Croft Kincardine
We loved the location and the service from GNL was good. However a few upgrades are required at the property and property description:
Wi-Fi - the details in the folder in the house are not accurate - needs updating. The network name that has been crossed out is in fact the only network that works.
Rodent in NE corner (master bedroom) under decking or in wall. Loud scratching at daybreak most mornings. A rat I presume (too big / noisy for a mouse).
Tap in 2nd en-suite is loose.
Tap in 1st en-suite needs fixing - "cold" symbol does not screw on.
Toilet in 1st en-suite very noisy when flushed.
No broom - decking was covered in dog hairs (we used the small dustpan brush).
DVD player is advertised but not provided (didn't bother us but it's misleading).
Toilet rolls - there were plenty (as one might expect) - so wording on website needs to be updated as it says "one toilet roll provided in each bathroom to get you started". Not what one expects in this category of property and didn't give us a great impression prior to arrival.
BBQ - there IS one (but tiny) whereas the App says there is not one.
Fire pit - the APP says this is provided as an alternative to a BBQ for "rustic cooking". If so, I'm not sure how one is supposed to cook on it as no grill provided.
Double duvets provided on the single beds - a bit odd.
All the above is intended as constructive feedback which is all easily fixed and would improve the experience of future guests.
We loved the location and the isolation of the property. The public spaces are excellent. The kitchen was very good and well provided.
