This 300 year old building, once a Sail Loft, is right on the quayside in the heart of historic Maldon. The accommodation is on the first floor via an exterior staircase to the entrance which opens into a large open plan living space.. 10 steps to entrance.

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Fridge/Freezer
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. External utility room with washing machine and shower (shared with other boat owners on-site). Sitting out area. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. The open-plan living area boasts comfortable seating, a double sofa bed, a large dining table and kitchen area. There is an outside utility room which also has a shower, ideal for washing down your pets or children after a day in the water.
The Sail Loft’s location couldn’t be more enchanting. It overlooks the quayside, offering you a front-row seat to the ebb and flow of life along the river. From here you can also watch the annual firework display or join in the Maldon mud race. Sip your morning coffee as fishing boats bob gently on the water and watch the sunset cast a warm glow over the historic town.
Maldon is renowned for its maritime heritage and offers a charming array of shops, cafés and restaurants, all a short stroll away. This quintessential English town has much to offer, including traditional pubs and ancient architecture. Stroll along the quay and watch the famous Thames sailing barges, visit the Maldon Promenade Park, or take a scenic boat trip along the Blackwater estuary. There are plenty of walks along the Blackwater estuary where you will see beautiful wildlife.
A visit to Colchester is a perfect way to spend the day. Visit the famous castle, zoo or stroll around the shops then stop for a bite to eat in the many cafés and restaurants. There are many pretty Essex villages to enjoy just a short distance away. Just a 30-minute drive will take you to Mersea Island which is famous for its oysters, check the tide times though as it gets cut off at high tide. The Combined Military Museum is a very interesting place to visit.
