Nice home but water is an issue
Decent location and property well maintained BUT….. three of us stayed for six days and had to buy 20 gallons of water at a nearby store to drink make coffee and wash with. The water has quite a pungent odor and needs to be treated

Very nice house with a great Lanai
The house was clean and a nice size. It has well water, which if you are not used to takes a little time to get used to the smell. We were there for 2 months and did not notice it after a while. I spent a lot of my time on the lanai, which is great. The only problem we had is the low water pressure. Everything else was normal issues when you rent a house. We really enjoyed our stay.

Horrible experience!! We left the property after 2 nights we were suppose to stay 6 nights. The water smelled like rotten eggs worse than I could’ve ever imagine even though the reviews mentioned it. After running the water the whole house smell liked rotten eggs. We couldn’t shower it was so bad! Initially we brushed our teeth and wash our the face with bottled water, but we just couldn’t handle how disgusting the smell was it left an odor not just in the air but on our skin. One of the bathrooms faucet ran black like dirt when we first turned it on. We couldn’t expose ourselves to this unsanitary conditions any longer so we left early and notified the property manager. We also found pee stains and blood stains on the Mattresses and pillows. That was completely unacceptable to rent a place in this condition. I am shocked no one ever mentioned this or did anything about it. I took pictures it was so bad. Also the Pots and pans were disgusting they were either scraped up or had food stuck on them, we couldn’t cook. Floors were dirty. I am disputed my charges and asking for a full refund.

Very nice property other than the smell of the water. The water treatment is non-existent so it smells like rotten eggs. Common for Florida... I needs an aerator and a water softener system.

Nice place to stay in
Overall we are very satisfied with our stay, House is very clean with good space to move around in. Make sure to buy lots of bottled water to drink, because the water supply is well water and has a burnt odor and taste that I use bottled water to brush my teeth with. Will surely come back.

Quiet Neighborhood
The house was clean and nice. Very big for two people, but not at all a downfall. We didn't even use the lanai because we were always on the go and usually didn't get home until after dark. This brings me to the only drawback; location, location, location. It's kind of a far drive from the beaches and much of the "to-do" stuff. Not a deal breaker for us, but may be a consideration if you plan on spending more time going to the beaches then hanging at the house.

An Excellent Getaway
We were visiting close friends in the area while looking for a home to purchase. The Sanborn house provided an excellent respite from all our activities, as we were constantly on the run! The home is very comfortable and clean and pleasantly provides DIRECTV. The only caveat is that the home isn’t connected to city water, so make sure and provide your own drinking water. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home, well kept and nice neighborhood
The home was comfortable and attractive. We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and inviting. The kitchen sink had very poor water pressure. Many of the pans were dirty . There was not a gas grill, we had brought steaks and burgers. Tje small electric grill was not usable for our purposes. We would definitely recommend this home and return in the future. The beds were comfortable and the patio was lovely.

Worst VRBO Property I have ever rented
Had this been a hotel we would have not taken this property. The house was dirty and in disrepair with minor issues. On our first day we had to scrub the lampshades in the MBRM to remove several MONTHS of dust and remove an artificial tree to ensure we wouldn't have any breathing issues. The master bath vent fan was clogged solid with dust. There was dust and cobwebs throughout the house. We also made several minor repairs, fridge handle, master bath sink, slats on LVRM blinds. We also had to scrub out the pots we intended to use, one of which still had visible food in it. The pans were unusable as we weren't going to that depth of cleaning to use them. The linen and towels were dingy and the pillows and mattress cover in the MBR were disgusting. We couldn't believe how stained they were. If the owner, or property manager, wouldn't be willing to sleep on them they shouldn't expect their paying guests to sleep on them. We bought pillow so we would be comfortable putting our head on them. Although I replaced a couple of the slats on the blind in the LVRM there were still 5 missing and it was difficult to rotate the remaining slats to open them. The stools at the counter were loose and wobbly. The drinking water tap leaked badly and was unusable. The property manager had a handyman come to make some of the repairs to the property, but he was unable to repair the tap. We eventually made the house livable, but we were very glad that the friends and family we had invited to join us decided not to come. We would have been embarrassed to have them stay in this house. As I said this was the worst VRBO I have ever stayed at and had rejecting this property been an option we certainly would have. I also commented in earlier communications that if someone was paid the $250 cleaning fee to clean this property then the property manager should have asked for a refund. We were told that the property was unoccupied for the 2 weeks prior to our visit. There should have been a cleaner go in and do the dusting and a quick general cleaning prior to our checking in.

The rental process was uncomplicated, communication was seamless the house layout was perfect. It was ideal for our needs to visit with family in the area during the holiday season. The kitchen is well equipped to handle baking and cooking.

Great house for family gathering
Great house for family gathering. Comfortable screened in porch for morning coffee and to watch kids play outside. Adam and Laura were very helpful in accommodating us with very short notice.

The house was clean and well maintained with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only down side to this house was its distance from most of the attractions in Ft. Myers. It was a good half hour drive to the city and more to Cape Coral and the beaches. But overall, a nice place to stay on vacation.

Great for a family visit
We stayed here over the holidays to visit with friends and family who live in the Lehigh area. It was a wonderful place to hang out and relax and make meals with visiting family during the day and a peaceful spot for our family of 4 to spend the nights. The beds were comfortable with a nice roomy master king bed. The space was nicely appointed but comfortable and safe for hanging out with young kids. Thanks for a great holiday hideaway hangout!

We were very pleased with the property and have already inquired about another stay. The house was clean and so much better equipped than we ever expected. We cooked a full prime dinner complete with place mats! The neighbor next door is friendly and always said hello when outside. This house was well located for going between my Lehigh Acres and my Alva family’s homes. Quick response to any questions we had. Very nice home! Thanks!!

Lovely immaculate home away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything you needed was there. We spent many hours in the Linai looking out to a forested area. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining as it had an open concept into a living room. Big dining room for entertaining as well. Will mention that neighbors had a chatty dog but that doesn't reflect on the owners of this place. It wasn't always barking but needs to be mentioned. Will definitely book again however will make sure first that the sinks and bathtub/ showers have better drainage and that they have repaired the guest bathroom issue.

Fantastic home away from home!
This home was the perfect place for our holiday vacation. It was close to family, had the perfect bedroom setup for us, a kitchen with all the needed tools, and was so clean and in good shape. We really enjoyed the comfort of being in a house rather than a hotel. This was my first experience renting from VRBO, and I will not hesitate to use it again. Thank you for the great rental!!

This is a comfortable place. I rented for two months and found it comfortable, quiet, and safe. Upon arriving, the kitchen light fixture stopped working and the management company was very responsive, and a new led fixture was put in quickly. It’s technically in Lehigh Acres, which is not known as a safe place, but this neighborhood is really Alva. It’s safe. I accidentally left my trunk open overnight outside with an expensive spotting scope visible, and it was untouched in the morning. The neighbors, friends of the owners, are amazingly nice, but do not intrude on privacy. The place was clean, beds comfortable, etc...plenty of towels. The appliances worked. The kitchen is adequate, and the internet worked fine. He house is on a well with a septic system. The pressure was fine, so no problems here. There is a faucet in the kitchen with reverse osmosis filter, so no issues with drinking and cooking. There are 3 great birding areas within 6 miles: Hickeys Creek, Harns Marsh, and Alva Tract, 6/10ths away, which are worthwhile to birders. It’s not a bad commute to Six Mile Cypress, and not impossible to Sanibel or Corkscrew Swamp. I get a really good vibe from the owners, whom I didn’t meet...but the vibe is there somehow. They are Canadians and the cable TV reflects that. I recommend this place.
