Winter half term break

My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Ferry Lodge. By hiring a boat my husband and grandson enjoyed fishing trips on Bargate Broad. The lodge was warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable - the seating in the living room was quite low for me - however fine for those who are younger. Would rebook and recommend.

A beautiful lodge in a stunning location

We spent a week here in September ‘24 and what a lovely, relaxing week it was. Ferry Lodge was a home from home with everything we needed. Beautifully presented, clean and with the most beautiful views. We really didn’t want to leave. Tina was so helpful with the launch of our boat … thank you Tina. We will definitely return.

Great lodge, location and service

What a wonderful place Ferry Lodge is, a great position on the river Yare with a lovely view of the country pub, on the other side of the river (you'll need your own transport to get across or around a 1 hr journey by car), passing boats and great evening sunsets. This place truly was home from home. Fishing was great, lots of tiddlers but some failed opportunities of pike and large bream straight from the decking! Good range of garden furniture including sun loungers which were lovely for soaking up the atmosphere. A broad is very close by and easily reached by water, so do bring your SUP/canoe/kayak this is a must! Tina was extremely responsive throughout our booking and our stay.

Absolutely amazing!!!

The Lodge was absolutely stunning. The scenery and location was beautiful. I loved waking up and just seeing the river right outside. You can see they put time and effort with the decor on the Lodge as it was beautiful. It is great for a family getaway as there lodge is in a great location. The staff are so friendly and helpful with my booking too. I highly recommend to stay in this lodge. I will definitely be booking again!

Ferry Lodge

Beautiful lodge & location. So relaxing, warm, comfortable, modern and well equipped. Tina is lovely and very helpful, and available should you need anything, not that we did. Always lovely to see her. Would love to keep this all to ourselves, hence why we have rebooked to come back twice more so far. Thank you for a lovely stay

A beautiful spot right on the waters edge on the River Yare - Norfolk Broads. Overlooking the river from the open plan lounge / diner / kitchen. Wildlife spotting and watching the boats pass by. The yachts sail by every Sunday and the sunsets are stunning.

Great views from the lodge and large decked area. Spacious but cosy timber interior with a large kitchen. Fishing directly from the private decking. Bait fridge for fishing (in season - rod license required) Quay headed mooring for your own or hired boat.
