Welcome to our charming and spacious bungalow in the serene and peaceful suburb of Palm Bay, Margate. This beautiful, single-level property is ideal for families seeking a fun packed seaside getaway. The accommodation is a short 7 minute walk to the promenade and local beach. It's central location makes access to all of Thanet's coastal towns; Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate very easy as they are all only a short drive away.

This property is an excellent base for exploring everything Thanet has to offer. There are several family friendly sandy beaches and bays close by; Palm Bay and Botany Bay are the nearest and preferred by the locals over the Main Sands. Walpole Bay has the UK’s largest tidal pool, so definitely worth a visit. If you enjoy walking or cycling, then join the Viking Coastal Trail which stretches 32 miles around the Thanet coastline. Also, within walking distance are Tennis courts, Jet Ski World and Café and the award winning Cliftonville Farmers Market with 30+ stalls selling Kent produce (last Sunday of the month 10am-1pm). Northdown Road offers an array shops, cafes, restaurants. If you are a foodie, then a visit to The International Food Market is a must.

The popular seaside town of Margate with its main sands, arcades, Old Town, Dreamland and the Turner Contemporary is approx. 2 miles away, 5 minutes by car and 30 minutes by foot along the promenade.

Historic Broadstairs famous for its connections with Charles Dickens, Folk Week and the beautiful Viking Bay is approx. 3 miles away, 8 minutes by car and 45 minutes by foot.

Ramsgate and its Royal Harbour surrounded by eateries and bars and golden sands is approx. 6 miles away and 15 minutes by car and 1.5 hr by foot.

Buses (Thanet Loop) run regularly and there are several local taxi companies operating in Thanet. Margate Train Station is the nearest station to the property and is just over 2 miles away.


Situated in the tranquil area of Palm Bay, this bungalow provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the calm and peaceful surroundings while being just minutes away from Clftonville's main high street with a plethora of shops, cafes and restaurants. Margate's lively town centre offering an array of shops, restaurants, galleries and attractions is only 1.4 miles away and can be reached by walking along the promenade. The bungalows central location means Thanets 2 other seaside resorts are just a short drive away - Broadstairs (3 miles away) and Ramsgate (5.5 miles)

The bungalow features a spacious kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, making it a delight for any home chef. The kitchen also has a dishwasher and washing machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is the inviting living area, which boasts a retro dining table perfect for entertaining. The living room also includes two large, comfortable sofas and a large bean bag facing a smart TV with catch up channels (guest to use their own log-in's for Netflix, Amazon etc).

From the living room, you can step into the conservatory, a wonderful space to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching the children play in the expansive, grassy garden. The garden is a highlight of the property, offering a large patio with a dining table and chairs and a gas BBQ, perfect for alfresco meals and enjoying the fresh air.

The bungalow offers ample accommodation with one double bedroom, one smaller room with a double bed and one bedroom featuring two bunk beds. This setup is perfect for with families with young children (up to age 16). There is also a travel cot and highchair available. Due to the sleeping arrangements, we do not accept bookings of more than 6 adults - please contact us prior to booking if you have any questions. The property has one bathroom with a shower/bath combination, the toilet is separate.

This is a dog friendly property and we are happy to accept up to 2 small to medium sized dogs - Gues s are asked to respect and follow the house rules - no dogs on furniture or in bedrooms. Owners clean up after there dogs. A pet fee is payable at the time of booking,

Travelling by road: The M20 and M2 motorways provide easy links from London into Thanet.

Margate train station is approx 2 miles away and is regularly served by Southeastern High Speed services travelling to/from London St Pancras as well trains from London Victoria. The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station

National Express runs a national network of coach services. Coaches run from London Victoria to various stops in Margate and take approximately 2 hours.

Frequent bus services: the Thanet Loop serves Margate, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood Cross.

Family plus dogs stayed here for 4 nights in half term. House had everything we needed, beds were super comfortable and would not hesitate to book again.

Easy with kids

Really easy with small kids to totter round the accommodation and garden, and a walk into Margate town. Felt safe and quiet at night. Nice decor, easy conversation with host.

Nice stay in a lovely cottage

About the cottage itself everiyhing is positive: It is large, cozy and well-equipped, with a large garden. Short distance to the beach. In contradiction Margate itself was a little disapointing. Many houses and streets in the town are very neglected, lots of waste laying around. Incomprehensible for such a well-known holiday resort
