Historic charm without the crazy price. Only one block from downtown Wilmington, NC. Walk the river front and visit the many privately owned shops and restaurants of every imaginable kind. Visit museums or numerous historic sites dating back before the revolutionary war. You can also ride the various trolleys or horse drawn carriages. Maybe the famous ghost tour is more to your liking. Several beaches within 15 to 30 minutes. The downtown area is very supportive of our four legged friends. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. You can even do nothing at all and enjoy porch living at it's finest right at home.

Four guys on a golfing trip from the uk. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. Absolutely ideal for our trip. Easy walking distance to the old town bars and restaurants. Good parking facility around the back plus on road was available sometimes. Would definitely stay again. Host Brian was available via messaging, he quickly fixed a minor problem that we had with a wc. Excellent service.
Historic home with a lot of character. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms very convenient for larger parties. Great fenced patio in back for relaxing with family or friends. A short walk to the River Walk and lots of bars, restaurants and shops.

Some friends and I traveled to Wilmington for the marathon. The house had an excellent location as we walked downtown three times. Very clean. 4 full bathrooms and the Host Brian was simply amazing.
This place was perfect for our group of 3 adult couples, and my adult daughter. We were in town one for a nearby wedding. The home was perfectly located, and we were able to thoroughly enjoy our stay. It was an easy walk to the riverfront area. We enjoyed both the porch and the back courtyard area ! Brian is a wonderful host, just the right amount of checking in...Would definitely come back here when in the Wilmington area !
5 of us stayed for 3 nights primarily to go site seeing, fishing, etc. located right in the heart of the historic section, easy access to everything we were interested in.
As always, Brian is more than accommodating and we have been coming here for a few years now and it’s one of our favorite places to visit. He has everything you need and more. You can’t go wrong staying here. Will be back again!
I am the only member of our group from N.C. so introducing the others to the area was a special treat. We all loved the mornings on the front porch sipping coffee and evenings on the back patio sipping wine. the proximity to downtown was convenient and being able to walk to restaurants annd shops was another bonus. Hope to come back!
My husband and adult children were in Wilmington for wedding. Prefect location and wonderful accommodations. Owner was very gracious. House had 4 full bathrooms which was great since we had 4 couples with us
We had a wonderful experience staying in this beautiful historic home. The space was fantastic. We had plenty of room and the house is well stocked with linens and kitchen needs. The location is great... downtown is one block away! We walked to dinner one night and enjoyed the farmer's market 2 blocks away on Saturday morning. We will most certainly be renting this house again!rentingrentiagain!usthismorning
We decided to go to Wilmington to see a concert and go bar hopping. The house was walking distance to everything. The back patio was fully fenced in so our dog could hang out safely. The road it is on is a quiet side street surrounded by plenty of shaded sidewalks and beautiful old houses. The house is well stocked, including kitchen items. Bedrooms are comfy and cozy. Cant wait to visit again.
We loved our stay at this historic home and highly recommend it! We were in town for a college tour for our daughter and we also took in some sightseeing and great restaurants. The location was perfect. Thank you!
This home was so large, comfortable, fun and inviting. Everyone staying in and around Wilmington enjoyed stopping by to hang out with family members. Absolutely everything we needed was provided, making the home feel more like visiting at Grandma's house than renting! We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, visiting some of the historic churches and easy access for a wide variety of food and shopping. It was perfect proximity to the wedding venue at the Atrium. Everyone loved the trip, largely due to the quality family time we had at this house. Thank you Brian!
This is 3rd time we have stayed in this beautiful old home which is located on a brick street in the Historic district of Wilmington. We enjoyed relaxing on front porch with my morning coffee or while reading a book. The house is a treasure of days gone by.
It is within a short walk of the Cape Fear River and all the restaurants and shops in downtown. We walked to dinner every night and there are so many choices in the area. Also if you happen to fly in you could Uber to house and never need a car. We will be back again next year.
We had the best time over Father’s Day weekend. This house is so charming with plenty of space and the best location. It was so easy to walk to downtown to enjoy the breweries and the Riverwalk.
Brian, the host, is super responsive and the house was well stocked with everything from towels to dishes and cook wear. Thanks for a wonderful vacation spot.
Great location, very old home with history. Plenty of space. The owner checked in with us to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. If you like to walk and explore this home is right in downtown. We would stay here again if we come back to this area.
The property made the weekend. Great communication with the host, house was stocked with all essentials. The patio, porch, and parking was a great benefit to the property. Walking distance to all you would need for a vacation. Very pleased with all the accommodations and would strongly recommend this house to everyone.

I love to be social. There is never a stranger I won't talk to. I love old houses and old communities like I grew up in. I love the simple pleasures, such as, the water and parks.
Why they chose this property
The property has all the great architecture and beauty of the houses of yesteryear. The whole community is just as nice with trolley and carriage rides right in front of the house. The historic downtown with a view of the river is breathtaking with a view of the sunset. Downtown has a lot of options for those vegetarians and vegans and very hospitable to our four legged friends.
