About this property

Private Luxury Studio with Parking and Laundry.

Built in 2014, this 600 square-foot second-story fully furnished designer studio, with parking and laundry, is nestled among beautiful trees, and is completely private. Just a few miles to Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Culver City. 15 minutes to LAX.

The space

This 2nd story designer studio includes everything you’ll need for however long you stay. A washer/dryer with supplies is inside the studio. It has a skylight and lots of windows with natural light filtered through beautiful trees.
It features a fully-stocked kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, sink, filtered water, countertop toaster, air fryer, oven and induction stovetop. Floor to ceiling marble bathroom, dining area, office area with printer and cocktail bar. Amenities galore! Plus your own private balcony surrounded by trees for smoking or having a nice meal.

It has heat and air conditioning and a beautiful gas fireplace with just a touch of a button!

There is a queen-size bed with a Tempurpedic memory foam mattress. We are happy to provide a 2nd inflatable bed with a memory foam topper upon request for a one time $25.00 fee. This must be requested at the time of booking. The fee is waived if you are paying for a 3 guest booking. A Tesla charger is available for $10.00 per use. You must notify host, as this charger is shared with one other car.
Guest access
A coded door at the end of the driveway leads into the building, your studio entrance is straight in front as you enter. There is a small private “Entryway Room” before you go upstairs to your studio.

Interaction with guests

We live in a single family home hidden behind and to the side of the studio. There are no common walls between the studio upstairs and the main house. You may never even see us unless we come and go in the driveway at the same time. We can help with all your needs and any questions you may have.

Other things to note: Pets allowed but must be pre approved. A $20.00 per night per pet fee will be charged. Plus a $50.00 pet cleaning fee. Smoking on balcony only
If you need a 2nd bed (inflatable) you must request that at the time of booking and there is a one time $25.00 set up fee. The fee is waived if you are a 3 guest booking. No checkouts or check ins on Thanksgiving Day or December 24. and 25.

Charming studio in Santa Monica

We just came back from a longer trip in US where we have spent 3 nights in Sandra's beautiful studio. The location of the studio, just across the street from Mar Vista recreational park, is perfect for enjoying LA fully (by car of course) and feel the local community. The studio was perfect for the three of us (2 adults + 15 yo boy). The studio was charmingly designed, immaculately cleaned, airy and full of light. The parking place in the garage is gold in LA and the bicycles available on the property are perfect for those staying longer and having time to ride around in the neighborhood which is quiet and beautiful. The owner Sandra was very nice and receptive and offered even to bring us anything we needed for breakfast, as we got there late in the evening. She lives behind the studio and she was available in case we needed something. We highly appreciated the small snacks, sweets and coffee we found in the studio. Thank you Sandra for offering such a high quality accommodation and we hope to come back for seeing more of LA.

Lovely Studio... great location

We had a wonderful time at Sandra's Studio in Mar Vista, Los Angeles. The property was was ideal for us, and provided us with everything we needed for our 4 day stay, including parking!!! The location was great too, as it was easy to get to all main locations eg. Hollywood, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey etc... Sandra is a lovely person, really friendly and a great host. She provided us with tips and recommendations, about the area in general, and also about places to see, restaurants etc, which was a great help, as it was our first time in LA. Thank You again Sandra, for all your help and advice. Hopefully, we will see you again when we visit LA... meanwhile.... all the best for now.

Mar Vista review

This studio apartment was perfect. The location was ideal for our needs and close to everything. The host is very responsive and answers quickly. It is on a slightly busy road but the noise isn’t bad unless sitting on the patio. The neighborhood is very nice. We will definitely rebook the next time we are in LA.I would recommend to anyone coming to the area.

Great stay in Santa Monica

Had a lovely stay in Santa Monica. Location worked well for us. Close enough to get over to the beach and close to hit the highways and visit other areas. Nice and close to Ralphs so can get groceries. Communication with the property manager was great. She was most helpful offering suggestions. Also had a chance to meet her at the start of our trip. The warm greeting was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. My daughter said the air mattress was good too. Thank you!

A pleasant week away

Awesome Santa Monica Studio

Sandra’s studio is even nicer and more spacious in person than it appears in pictures! I appreciated the great natural light and convenient location. It was great to have such a tranquil private space to return to after adventuring around LA during the day. I definitely plan on returning!

Charming Studio

Well appointed studio down the street from Whole Foods. Convenient to everything if you have a car. The bed was comfortable (may be new-ish), no smells, quiet sleeping. Host had thought everything out so guests have everything they could possibly need to function smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

A peaceful very comfortable spacious haven

The apartment was very quiet with double glazed windows we think keeping out the street car noise. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Air con worked well . Unit was spacious and well supplied : so much better than a hotel room! Sandra was Most helpful and delightful to meet. Recommend.

Perfect LA location

We were in town for a week and Sandra's place was excellent. Quiet neighborhood close to anything you might need. The place was well stocked, comfortable, clean, and perfect to unwind after a busy day. We will definitely stay again when we are in Los Angeles. Highly recommend.
