This charming, beachy, spacious, loft provides great views of Mission Bay & the surrounding area which includes fireworks shows (select weekends and summer) from the 500 sq ft deck. The deck is great space to BBQ, relax, soak in some rays, and enjoy the sunsets. Centrally located, minutes from SeaWorld, Downtown, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, Old Town, La Jolla, local beaches, the SD Zoo & more! Easy access to outdoor activities such as running, surfing, biking, boating, water-skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing & more.
SeaWorld - Less than a five minute drive!!
San Diego Zoo - Only 7 miles
Balboa Park - Only 7 miles
Temecula Wine County - One hour drive north
US Border / Tijuana - 25 minutes away

NOTE as of Sept 2022:
Please note that there are some on and off construction projects in the neighborhood. The hours for workers are typical daytime working hours and any noises are not disruptive. Also, it's quiet at night and will not impact sleeping.. We haven't had and problems or complaints but it's something we feel we should mention.

This is a great unit with an awesome view of the bay, very spacious and light and bright. Good location with easy freeway access and I would recommend this place to everyone Stacey the host was great very helpful.

Charming, Cozy, and Perfectly Located – A Dream Stay!

Absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, this charming bungalow loft exceeded all expectations. The space was described perfectly in the listing, but stepping inside, it was even better than we could have imagined. The open-plan design maximized the natural light, making it feel airy, warm, and inviting.The loft had a fresh, beach-inspired vibe, with soft blues and whites throughout that instantly made us feel relaxed and at ease. The airy space, paired with subtle coastal touches, made it feel like we were at a serene seaside retreat. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made preparing meals a breeze.Our host Stacey & Matt was simply exceptional. They were friendly, accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. From quick, helpful responses to thoughtful recommendations on things to do around town, they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.The location was ideal too—quiet, yet close enough to all the best spots in town. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway that feels like home but with a touch of charm and relaxation, this bungalow loft is the place to be! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, unique experience.

Great bungalow I see a lot of

We enjoyed our stay! It was very clean, and the bed was amazing! The pull-out bed was also very nice for my daughter when she spent a night with us! This unit had great amenities and our hosts were awesome! Also, very happy about the gas grill and out door furniture.

Wonderful first experience!

This was our first time with VRBO and we were very impressed with this property and our hosts. Stacey and Matt were welcoming and available, but not at all intrusive. The space was over the garage, and beautifully decorated, very clean, and well stocked with essentials and amenities. We especially enjoyed the king-sized TempurPedic mattress, the beautiful bathroom with extra-large shower head, and the large screen tv. We also loved the location, as it was in a quiet neighborhood, but only minutes from Sea World, Balboa Park, and Old Town. We ate at two local restaurants recommended by the hosts and they were both delicious. Both my husband and myself would whole-heartedly recommend this property, and will stay again when next we make it to beautiful San Diego!

Great spot for a getaway!

Really enjoyed staying here for a fun weekend getaway. The place is in a very quiet neighborhood, private, easy access, centralized to really anywhere you need to go. Stacey & Matt are great hosts, quick to respond, gave very easy directions before arriving, and definitely take care of the place and make it feel inviting. I'd recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Awesome Place

My husband and I stayed at the Bay Watch Bungalow from October 16th - October 23rd. We loved this place! Everything was exactly as advertised. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious this place was. It was bright, clean and was move in ready. It had everything you needed plus more. Stacey was great! She was quick to answer any questions we had and offered great advice on places to see during our stay. We would highly recommend this place to family and friends and hope to return soon. Thanks Stacey and Matt!

A great place to stay, will be booking again soon!!

Not shown, but has a huge closet for unpacking and the bathroom has a beautiful large shower. We meet the hosts and Dude, they were all lovely. The weather was so beautiful, the patio view wqs beautiful, the loft was beautiful and so much more spacious than the pictures show. Very close to a small family owned coffee shop, walking distance!! Please consider this beautiful bungalow for your San Diego trips!

Location was perfect

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament at USD. Loved the space; we took advantage of the kitchen amenities and sat on the deck in the evenings for a great view of the bay. I would say it was a 5-10 minute drive to Mission Bay Beach, Old Town, Pacific boardwalk or USD, depending on day & time. The hosts were super easygoing, informative and accommodating. Not to mention their dog Dude is a sweetheart. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area..

San Diego trip

We stayed here for a week. The accommodation is a large studio above the garage. It is quiet, spacious, bright, comfortable and super clean. The bed and furniture are very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. Its location is handy to Interstate 5 which makes many parts of San Diego easily accessible, including the zoo, the airport and Seaworld. Stacey and Matt are gracious and helpful hosts. I would highly recommend staying here.

Quiet, Nice Place

We enjoyed our three day stay here. The hosts were accommodating. They allowed us to check in a little early last minute. The location is great. The bed and furnishings are comfortable and in great condition. It is a nice quiet neighborhood. Anything you need to cook and eat with is there. The little shed has a variety of things you might need for the beach and water. We would return here. There's a great view from the deck.

Home away from home in Paradise

If you are looking for really cozy clean furnishings with a beachy feel LOOK NO FURTHER!!! We have now found our new best home away from home when in San Diego. Comfy bed, best waterfall shower and all the amenities of home. Thank you Stacey and Matt [and DUDE too] for making our stay memorable and comfortable. Will definitely be back. Great Base for a San Diego Vacation

The flat was exactly as described. Roomy for two people, comfortable, and well-situated for the range of San Diego attractions. Matt and Stacey were great, responsive hosts. Zero problems or disappointments, as it should be.

Great place!

My 18 year old granddaughter and I stayed at the house and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was a little nervous about being in a strange area. We felt very safe and the house was terrific! Nice view of the bay, very clean and comfortable. The bed was heavenly!

Clean, spacious and very comfortable. A very nice kitchen to cook in and comfortable furniture. Quiet and very safe feeling neighborhood, with a great location to get around San Diego by car. Good communication with owner. Would stay here again.

Comfortable, clean, excellent location.

Excellent location, off street parking, quiet, newer appliances, and furniture, comfortable bed, upgraded bathroom, large TV on the wall in living room, excellent communication with owner, and the heater inside works well. There is a large deck with chairs, dining table and grill. We did not use it because of the weather. It was mostly overcast, rainy and cooler while we were there in January. It is a loft with many steps and if you have heavy luggage, it might be a challenge bringing it up and down the stairs. You might want to bring extra coffee, and Kleenex. There is an excellent grocery nearby called Sprouts Farmers market, it has just about everything at reasonable prices, including ready-made food.

Relaxing loft with a view

The loft is much larger than the pictures can relate. The deck is the perfect place for your morning coffee or sunset beverage. We used the kitchen and cooked meals during our stay and found everything we needed. The hosts are so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. And we can’t forget Dude! Their dog loves guests and likes to play if you’re a dog person. If you’re not though he’ll leave you alone. We definitely plan to stay there again.

Very spacious loft! Loved it!

I loved the deck where we could chill out in the evening! Inside the loft was very nice and clean. I liked the walk-in closet because there was plenty of room where we could put our clothes. Everything was in good condition and the bed was very comfortable! Plus I loved the shower it was really nice! We really enjoyed staying here.

Matt is a retired Captain from the San Diego Fire Department and Stacey works part-time. We love to travel, surf, ski, golf, camp, hike, eat (we’re serious foodies), drink wine and go on new adventures! We look forward to sharing our loft and neighborhood with you. Our spacious studio loft is quaint, beachy and comfortable with an outdoor deck overlooking Mission Bay, the surrounding area, and Sea World fireworks.
