Fabulous holiday

The property was as described and had everything needed for a great relaxing holiday. The balcony views were stunning and this was the best part of the trip for us watching the sunset in the evening. Hugh was there to help with anything we needed to know and Lenny who provided our car was also very helpful when we arrived on the island. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation recommending this property for rent.

Beautiful Location

The first impression when we walked through the front door and saw the view from the balcony was "WOW" and that did not change from the first day to the last. We love being by the ocean and that is exactly what we got. Communications with the owner were excellent and the property manager was charming. For various reasons (mainly my partners health) we will not be returning to Barbados but if we did we would definitely consider staying at Sea Spray Villa again

Great place and what a view!

It is a lovely apartment (with another apartment underneath but it feels very private). We spent a lot of time on the balcony with the superb sea views. The little private beach was really only useable at low tides but that was easy to google so we could plan our days: you can snorkle literally 20 feet out from the beach and see loads of fish and the next door beach is quiet and beautiful. Wifi and bedroom aircon worked well. There was plenty of room in the comfortable main living area and the second bathroom was really helpful to have. It was disappointing that the washer and drier were out of order (we had been travelling for a few weeks and were looking forward to using them) but I am sure this will be fixed soon as the owners clearly care a lot about their property. Brilliant restaurant (The Fish Pot) 5 mins walk - wonderful but quite pricey - and a few beach bars walkable too. The owner phoned us during our stay to check everything was OK and Joel the housekeeper who checked us in and out was really helpful when we managed to leave our passports there after we left! We would definitely book again.

We came back for a second time as we enjoyed the first time staying at Seaspray

After our cruise we returned to Seaspray renting out the 2 bedroom apartment, Theresa the property manager again helped us a lot, if you are looking for a reasonable priced property to stay at with incredible sea views and a small private beach with a fantastic property manager then look no further than Seaspray

Amazing property!!!!

If you come here you will love it... the photos promoting the villa are great but the place when you get there is soooo much better, the view from the balcony is to die for! So easy to get around the island from here as there’s a bus stop right by which is an experience in itself and when you come back you feel you can get away from it all and chill. The fish pot 2 minutes walk away serves tasty food at an expense or drop into moontown and there’s ‘take away food’ that’s tasty at a great price While there the owners phoned twice to check all was going well which was nice and Natalie was brill and really helpful when called upon! The little bay down the side of the villa is a hidden gem for snorkelling and is full of cool fish including puffa fish, octopus, eels to name just a few... so to sum up can’t fault it and will definitely be going back!!!!

Location, location, location

We have stayed at many villas and rentals in the Caribbean as well as in Europe, and this one is one of the best. If you like to get away from the touristy areas, and take things at your own pace, the location is awesome, with the beautiful Caribbean literally at your feet, a bus stop less than 100 yds away, and a grocery store just around the corner. It is also a very safe place to stay, and the people living around made us feel very welcome. We did most of our grocery shopping at Moontown, just around the corner, and bought take out food at the little "deli" counter just outside it, to eat at home. The Fishpot, an excellent restaurant with very friendly and efficient service, was just a five minute walk away. We even walked to Speightstown from the villa, about half an hour. It is worth the visit, with its restaurants and bars along the beach. We never needed a car, but did rent one for one day to do some sightseeing, and to purchase some more of the gorgeous pottery at Earthworks. Although this was our fourth visit to Barbados, there were still things we had never seen, such as the Wildlife Reserve https://www.barbadoswildlifereserve.com/ , the North Point Restaurant on the cliffs at the north end of the island, and the Atlantis, near Bathsheba. Linda and Les are excellent hosts. They called us often just to see how we were getting on. Their property manager, Valdez, couldn't have been nicer, and was always available when needed. Linda, Les and Valdez were always keen to hear our suggestions, and would act on them when possible. For example, we mentioned to Valdez that it would be nice to have a lounge chair on the upper level, where we stayed, and within half an hour, had brought us one! A small note; if you are planning to listen to music on your iPhone, you will need to bring an adaptor, as the sound system there uses the docking pad from an older model iPod. But, the sound of the waves was usually music enough for us! We would definitely come back to the Sea Spray, and we would bring our whole family, too!

Btreath taking views

Just back from 9 fantastic nights at seaspray lower level. We were met on arrival by ( sugar man) Valdez the property caretaker. Who showed us around the apartment and how everything worked in fine detail. We ordered some groceries before leaving the uk which were there on arrival. We organised with Valdez to take us to the cricket at the Kensington oval, he even went down to the box office prior and purchased us tickets so that we did not have to que on match day( we loved Valdez) the apartment was very well equipped as advertised and had everything we needed for a chilled and relaxed holiday. Having your own little private beach was an added bonus. It was like a Bajan family had moved out and let you stay in there home. The owners Les and Linda call us several times to make sure we were happy and settled. We have stayed in Barbados many times normally in the St James area but we have now totally fallen in love with the north of the island. We would highly recommend seaspray if you want to experience the real Barbados. Thank you very much Les and Linda (our new family) we will be BACK.. Jason and Sue..

Amazing.

This was my fourth trip to the island, as I come every February. I can honestly say this was the best spot I have stayed. If you are looking for a very chill location that has everything you need, this is the spot for you. The condo is clean, well equipped and close to everything. The snorkeling right out of the condo is amazing. St. Elmo's right up the road has everything you need and the Fish Pot was good. However, make reservations as they don't take walk-ins. Make sure you reserve early and they actually write your info down. This was the only hiccup of our trip, twice. However, that certainly has nothing to do with the condo and there are plenty of places in Speightstown to eat and if you want to take a bus you can go to Hometown for more options. Can't wait to go back next year.

Sea Spray

We stayed at Sea Spray in early December 2016- my husband, 24 year-old son and, for the last few days, his girlfriend. I had chosen Sea Spray after sifting through numerous rental properties and I didn't stop congratulating myself the whole time we were there! For us, it was perfect. The villa is very comfortable - both double bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, making it ideal for two couples as well as a family. The air-con keeps the bedrooms very cool and the ceiling fans are just right in the light and airy living room; the wifi is excellent. And, as others have commented, Sea Spray is wonderfully close to the Caribbean Sea. If we hadn't wanted to explore the island, it being our first visit, I think we could have spent our whole stay in the villa and its immediate surroundings as everything we needed was within easy walking distance. As well as the villa's private access to the sea, there are two beaches close-by, one (unnamed, I think) to the south of the villa and visible from the balcony, and the other, Fr(e)yers Well beach, a short walk to the north. Both are quiet and unspoiled - but if your preference is for sunbeds and watersports a bus ride south will take you to Mullins beach. St Elmo's store, just up the road, has pretty much everything you are likely to need, including take-away food which is excellent value. Merton's fish-fry (Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings) is not to be missed! If you want a wider range of groceries for self-catering, there are very good shops in Speightstown, two miles away. We loved Speightstown - there are plenty of interesting places to eat and drink, and the Arlington House museum is well worth a visit. It is also a transport hub for the northern part of the island. We went everywhere by bus; there are bus-stops every 2-3 hundred metres and the ones outside Sea Spray are just a few steps away. Linda and Les made us feel very welcome, calling us to check all was OK, while their manager was on hand to sort out any problems; arrival and departure worked very smoothly. Altogether, I thoroughly recommend Sea Spray, especially if, like us, you are not attracted by the all-inclusive concept or the very busy resorts further south. We hope to return next year!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

My partner and my 2 teenage boys, age 16 and 17 arrived for a 2 week holiday in the upper level. We were met by the lovely Manager, who showed us round and answered any questions we had, he was very courteous and helpful. The first thing that hits you when you walk into the villa is the truly outstanding view. You are right on the beach, it is not called Sea Spray for nothing, the only sound you could hear at night was the waves lashing against the property below. The villa has everything you need, including excellent wi-fi. We stopped off on our way to the villa to purchase essentials, we really didn't need to as the little shop in Moontown, 100 metres away, called St Elmo's had everything we needed and more, you can also purchase hot food take away from here. I would recommend one big shop then just topping up at this store as it really is very competitively priced. Only thing it lacked was fresh meat so you could purchase enough of this on your one big shop, freeze it and manage just with a top up at the local store. St Elmo's also has the local bar opposite which had entertainment Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings, Karaoke on a Friday and Sunday with limbo dancing. There is also a restaurant next door to this bar which has quite a reputation for its Fish Fry on a Friday evening. We would normally hire a car but as we were so well located for public transport we didn't bother. The buses stop just outside the villa and will take you for $2, all the way down to Bridgetown, going through Speightstown and Holetown and passing all the lovely beaches on the way. We got on the yellow Regge, Regge bus, so called because it plays Regge music on your journey. We found the bus such fun and got to chat to many locals whilst travelling. The villa itself is just as described, nicely furnished with a very homely feel. Guests were in the villa below us for our 1st week but privacy was not an issue, we didn't even notice anyone was there. You can go down the steps at the side of the property and you are straight into the sea, fantastic for snorkelling. About 50 metres away from the property is a lovely little beach, we had sole use of this beach while we were there. You could walk along this beach to the Fish Pot Restaurant, we sat on the seat at the end of their jetty and watched the most amazing sun sets. This really is a beautiful un-spoilt place to spend a Caribbean holiday, we intend to return.

Seaside bliss

Upon our arrival at the lower level, the stunning view of the ocean, the abundant vegetation and the coziness of the patio combined to provide an overwhelming sense of relaxation. We had spent the previous weeks on the busy south coast, and we immediately felt any remaining tension dissolve completely. The property is clean, it is well furnished and it lives up to its description. Linda the owner was very attentive, contacting us by email and phone to make certain that our stay was enjoyable. We very much enjoyed the snorkelling, accessing the water via the private stairway: we kept going back to the beautiful coral reefs that were teaming with tropical fish, with occasional sightings of turtles. Although the owners recommend a car, we managed fine by taxi, bus and by foot: the nearby grocery and bar are 5 minutes away by foot, and the excellent Fish Pot restaurant is a ten minute walk. Buses are cheap and frequent, providing an unexpected reggae experience. And the locals are warm and welcoming: Barbados is indeed a paradise. We very much recommend this property, and are looking forward to returning next year.

A lovely place to stay!

Myself and my husband had a fantastic time at seaspray and were overwhelmed by the hospitality and thoughtfulness of Linda and Les the owners who made sure by getting in touch very regularly that everything was going well. The position of the villa for us could not have been better, the view especially-near enough to enjoy wonderful restuarants and sophisticated cuisine and shopping but not too "touristy" and it was situated near local amenities and wonderful people. Barbadian people are so friendly-please make sure to visit the local bar and supermarket which we enjoyed very much-they even put our Swansea football premier league match on for my husband to watch! Please be careful not to step on any spiny sea urchins though, I encountered one on Heywoods beach and it was painful! The villa has wonderful views and is well equipped. Our son stayed for one week with us and he enjoyed it very much. We saw a green parrot, monkeys and even a sea eagle catching a fish from the balcony-we hope to return and see them again. Thank you for a lovely time.

Beyond expectations!

Sea Spray offered us an ultra smooth landing coming all the way from Sweden for vacation. Transfer from the airport, warm welcome and info of importance for the stay was professionally taken care of by Tricia. Positively surprised we also got the owner on the line both on arrival and take off, caring of our wellbeing. Concerning the property, everything was absolutely ok including equipment, cleaning, level of maintenance, layout etc. Furthermore, the location direct by the sea was breathtaking, both for your eyes and ears, the villa is truly a relaxing machine! Our absolute favourite among beaches became the north tip of Alleynes Bay entered via the super nice Ramshakle bar offering everything from good service and deck chairs to food and drinks (just south of St Francis Church). Snorkelling close to the shoreline we swam together with turtles, this experience took the price and made the deepest impression on all of us. Beyond expectations - if asked, we would recommend Sea Spray to our friends/relatives!

Comfortable Villa, close to most of the action

Nice clean, well equipped villa (internet access, ipod dock...we listened to Pandora while sipping rum punch on the balcony!). AC was a nice touch on warm nights & when the sun was pounding. Close to Holetown with its many restaurants and also to the scenic North coast. Nice beaches near by. Tricia, property manager, was very helpful/accomodative. One negative was the neighbors dog that barked a couple of nights. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

The perfect holiday location for a family

I used the internet for research and found Seaspray villa at Half Moon Fort St.Luicy, what a find The Villa was very suitable for us because of it's location with access to family and friensa in the parish The owner Mr Les Warner was very helpful to us with tips on where to dine and help with other important issues. Over see that required important work was done Tricia (manager) was very professional but also helpful and gave sound advice, manage the villa very well; was spotless bed linen and house cleaning was done often every week we were pleased with the way she organised and used her skiles. The location is fine with good pleasant neighbours Sea beach and surf is fantastic one can hear the surf day and night lashing at the back of the building's foundation, so soothing and the view of the caribbean sea with all it's activities, ships and all maner of sea craft too and fro across the vast sea It's nice to watch from the balcony the sun set, it's beautiful There are many mod cons that make one feel at home though away; there is internet connectivity stereos TV (direct TV) with lots of American channels to choose from AC for comfort, sweet We have had a good time and will be back for more on our next vocation in Barbados, will surely recommend the villa to any one who is interest in Barbados Excellent

2 weeks of perfect calm

The research that goes into finding the perfect place can be difficult. You really have to trust your instint. WE DID. As soon that we started exchanging emails with Tricia (property manager) we could feel we were in good hands. Other houses on the islands offered so much, some even a free car. but in the end, I believe that Seaspray is the ONLY villa that can offer million dollar view and the sounds of the water 24/7 with intimacy and privacy at this price. The villa was even better when we got there, all amenities you can think of are available for you to use. The location is a great one. away from it all yet 10 minutes drive to booming night life and restaurants. walking distance is also great. convinience store, fisherman village, bars and one amazing restaurant (fish pot). Larger local grocery store can be found within 4-7 minutes drives. we found a beach nearby that suited all of our needs and spent most of our 2 weeks there. the party comes to you once you lay on the beach. with a lot of respect, locals will come offer you deals on jetski, boat excursion etc. no need for a concierge at an expensive hotel. And Tricia can help you with any needs. The house has plenty of space and is very cozy. Good internet and satelite TV to entertain. We sipped Daiquiris and cooked food while looking at the sunset from our own private balcony over the water. it was splendid and we will surely be back shortly.

Sea Spray Villa

What a gem of a place! Beautiful villa right on the water with direct access to the ocean! Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our trip. Caretaker we met on arrival and departure was very friendly and helpful. LOVED sitting out on the balcony with ocean views and taking morning/afternoon swims/snorkeling. Full kitchen to cook or heat up leftovers. In a quiet part of Barbados just north of Speightstown so recommend a car to explore (busses might be an option but we rented a car). Highly recommend!

Cozy family appartment with a nice ocean view

We, couple w two kids (4 yr & 8yr old) had a great stay.Appartment is well equipped and maintained, making it a perfect home base for exploring the island's less crowded northern part and some west coast beaches.Landlord and caretaker both super friendly and helpful.Small minus point is the road at the back of the house so that you might hear some traffic (depending on the hour of the day). The house has direct access to the water but due to the waves / danger of currents it is not the ideal swimming spot

Amazing view!

We (family with 7yo) had a wonderful time at this property! Gorgeous view, had everything we needed, away from the bustle but near some great spots like Fish Pot, Orange Street Grocer, and Caboose. Linda (owner) and Hugh (caretaker) were friendly and responsive. (Just a note that there is street noise because it’s right on the road, but that didn’t bother us.) A wonderful spot!

Paradise off the beaten path

We had a wonderful stay at the property in Half Moon Fort. The neighborhood is very Bajan, with a small(!) store nearby. There is also a local fish market very close, and the fish we bought there was awesome (and cheap). You do want to have a car in order to visit some of the Barbados sites. Nearby Speightstown has a row of bars celebrating the sunset every night. The very near FishPot is good for a splurge - it is pricey. The best part? The access to the water and sounds of the waves. We snorkeled daily (in the rain/sun) and the areas just south of the property were as good as what we experienced elsewhere in the island. The water is very clear, and the view from the balcony is superb. Bring binoculars!

Perfect place in perfect location

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at Sea Spray Villa. The balcony was the perfect place to relax for a meal any time of the day and a wonderful spot to watch the sun set. We loved the low-key neighborhood, being able to snorkel off the house at low tide and chill on the neighboring beach in the mornings. Heywoods Beach in Speightstown (just a 5 min drive or 30 min walk) was our favorite spot in the afternoon for snorkeling and having a fish cutter at The Caboose. Bratty's (just a 10 min walk down the street) was a great local place for the fresh catch of the day and a beer. The owners and caretaker are very easy to reach and made this a terrific experience from start to finish.

Beautiful Villa with amazing views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seaspray Villa. We rented the top unit only and it was everything we hoped for. The owner is great at communicating. She arranged our ride to and from the airport. We also rented a car through them which was extremely convenient. This villa is located in a quieter area with only a few businesses in close walking distance but it made for a peaceful experience and we just used the car rental to venture out. We do not have any complaints about this property and highly recommend others to rent through them.
