LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION... Three steps from this beautiful home and you're on the sidewalk on historic Main Street in Blowing Rock. This newly updated luxury rental is the perfect spot for a family trip, romantic getaway or a special friends trip. The central pedestrian area in Blowing Rock stretches from the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum and St. Mary of the Hills on the south side of Main Street to the Speckled Trout and Camp Coffee Roasters on the north side, with the park as well as several shops and restaurants in between. Most people, including many locals, do not realize that there is a family home on Main Street within this central pedestrian area. They pass it riding down Main Street, and if they stop by the post office, they drive right alongside this quaint 1920's brick home as they exit. It's a quiet, happy little place right in the heart of Blowing Rock. A new private driveway allows you to park 2 cars on the property which makes your stay that much more convenient. The home has been completed updated with the finest furnishings and comes fully stocked with all your basic needs. You will feel right at home when you stay at "The Blake". Our second visit to the Blake. Can’t say enough about the charm of the home, the decor, and the location. We love all things Blowing Rock and our love now includes The Blake. It’s like walking into your own home it’s so cozy. Eric is always communicative and helpful. We’ll be back!

Best Location in Blowing Rock

This property was perfect for our group of two small families. The kids loved their own space upstairs and the fire pit for s'more's was a huge hit! The back yard was the perfect space for them to to play. The host reached out multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and were satisfied. Can not beat the location! We will be back!

Whimsy and Nostalgia

Unique, cozy, comfortable & convenient. Well appointed & practically labeled. Filled w/ fun local decor, both whimsical spring/Easter & rustic rural antiques. Such a treat for our Blowing Rock native 91yo mother! Fabulous porch for soaking up glorious mountain breezes reminiscing about this quaint town she grew up in. Thanks for the memories, new and old.

Enchanted Cottage, Great Location

My friends and I had a great stay at this beautiful property right in the heart of Blowing Rock. Can't say enough about the decor and attention to every detail in the home, from the seasonal decorations to other amenities to make guests comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Home

This was our second stay at The Blake for Christmas. The house is beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and festive decorations in every room! The location is perfect for walking to all the shops. Everything you need is there for your stay. We will be back again!

Winterfest 2025

Great downtown Blowing Rock location! House has obviously been taken care of and well maintained. Even though the house is on the main street - there is no traffic noise - not sure what kind of windows it has but they block out all of the typical noise you would expect being downtown. We plan to visit again !!!!

Cozy home in the best location!

Back for year 2 at The Blake and had another wonderful long weekend right in the heart of BR. Perfect location allows us to walk to shops, dinner, coffee, etc. - a complete necessity for teenagers needing to spread their wings while with mom and dad. Also made us the envy of everyone else jockeying for parking on a busy holiday weekend. The home is perfect for two families and always so thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Thanks for the toothbrushes, my husband forgot his! Left trying to figure out when we can return, love it so!

Perfect Blowing Rock Stay

The Blake was a beautiful cottage located in the center of town. We stay in and around Blowing Rock frequently, and this fast became one of our favorite spots to lay our heads. The decor inside is incredible, the home is cozy and the beds are so comfortable. The location in quite unique in that you walk out the door into all the bustle of the town. The private drive makes staying even more convenient. We can’t wait to come back.

Loving this cozy Christmas cabin

The location and everyday charming appeal of this cottage would have been enough for us to adore but it was dialed up a notch being staged for the holidays. We counted 6 separate decorated Christmas trees on the property along with lots of other cozy cabin decor. The Dutch door was adorable and the roaring fireplace stayed on during the cold weather. We were in skipping distance of shops and restaurants on Main Street and so close to fabulous hiking locations. The hosts were friendly and hospitable too. We will return

In early October of 2020 we had the pleasure of purchasing this beautiful home from our dear friends Virginia and Ben. It has been a dream come true for us as we passed this home every day taking our little ones to school at Blowing Rock Elementary. My wife Mary Allison, growing up in Charlotte came here often to see her grandparents who has had a home in Blowing Rock since the 1940s. Myself originally from St. Petersburg, FL has never loved a place so much. In 2018 we took that giant leap and moved our family from Florida to the beautiful quaint town of Blowing Rock, NC. We currently live 10 min from main street in Blowing Rock and we couldn't imagine being anywhere else! "The Blake" is named after our youngest and only daughter Blake who is 3 and we have two other children both boys, Brinker and Brooks. On behalf of our entire family we hope you love our little town as much as we do and that you fall in love with "The Blake" Eric, Mary Allison, Brinker, Brooks and Blake
