Had a great stay! The house is beautiful, the view is great, and the weather was terrific! We really appreciate the water system upgrades, and particularly the upstairs shower! Great!

Nice place

Nice house with room for 6 adults and 2 kids. Air conditioning on the upper floor stopped working. Called the maintenance man he came out and then called a contractor. The air was working again within 4 1/2 hours. Floor in basement could use a good mopping. Overall quiet place with nice beds and close to many attractions.

Pool table

Stay here every year and enjoy it. Just one weird thing this year. My friends and I usually play pool a lot. The cue ball was missing this year. Don't know where it was. We looked everywhere. Not a big deal but no place around townsend to buy one ! Just thought I'd mention it.

Nice place

This is the 3rd year we have met at Cypress Ridge for Thanksgiving. It is a perfect place for our gathering. My mother, who is 90 years old lives in Townsend. She enjoys her family coming to visit. This year we expanded some. 22 family members enjoyed lunch on Thanksgiving day. Only one problem. No water pressure. House sleeps 10. Only one shower at a time.

Quiet and Conveniently Located near Smokey Mtns but a few minor nits

The house is very roomy and while just about a mile off of the main highway through Townsend, is very quiet. It is a relatively short drive to restaurants and the park. The hot tub, pool table and washer/dryer are great features. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. The big screen TV in the basement is great and has Roku (as do all TVs) so you can log into your streaming services. A few minor nits... While the description is accurate, providing shampoo and some laundry detergent would be nice for people flying in and not checking bags. The water pressure is pretty low, the shower actually stopped spraying water while showering once and flow varied during a couple of other showers. It takes a while for hot water to reach the master bath. Someone had logged out of FuboTV in the master bedroom. Not a big deal but it would be nice if the property manager verified the sets were all logged in between rentals.

Sisters visit

The house itself was beautiful and very clean and plenty of room for the six of us. Our problem was the snow that we weren’t expecting and the pavement becoming very slick. We had to leave one vehicle parked at the bottom of the driveway, thank goodness we had one all wheel drive that shuttled us up the hill. We also ran out of water and no one at beartootin seemed to care. My sister was able to reach emergency service for Blount co water and we had enough water to wash our hands and flush the toilet’s. We will not be renting through beartootin again.

Birthday Getaway

The house we rented for the week of July was in a nice, secluded area in Townsend Tennessee. The house was very spacious with a beautiful view and accommodated our family of 10 very well. I Loved the open living area and the beds were comfortable. The only suggestion I would add is to change the the outside light bulbs. Only 1 porch light worked.😁

Loved the peaceful side of the Smoky’s

This is an absolute perfect house and location for the quieter end of the Smoky’s! The house is set up on a hill so you can get to enjoy the morning and evening views from both porches! Stunning! The house is so clean and organized, felt like home the minute we stepped in. Couches and beds are not the most comfortable, but the kitchen, space, AC units for BOTH floors, and front porch rocking chairs make up for it! Any minor issues we had (Fubo was logged out), they were quick to respond. Make sure the fridge is set to 5 (highest setting) because its pretty weak! But we once it was set at 5, all the groceries wete nice and chilled! The location was perfectly situated by River Rats floating, Cade’s Cove, hiking in the Smoky’s, river fun, horse back riding, restaurants, stores and grocery. Its an easy ride to Pigeon Forge (about 25 min) where you will be so inundated by the crazy amount of things there that you will be excited to return to the quiet of Townsend. Gatlinburg was about 45 min away, plan to pay $20 for parking there!

Not coming back

Cypress Ridge is in a good location. Very close to cades cove. It was easy for us to get up early am and go for bike riding. But here are the things which are not good in this property: A) house is full of spider webs B) bathrooms were very dirty. In fact there was a poop in one of the bathroom’s curtain C) house has a cigarette smell. The moment I entered this house, I started coughing. D)kitchen utensils were dirty and there was no scrub to clean the utensils E) dish washer has a very very very bad smell. F) the price for this property is too high but the quality is very bad We are not happy and never coming back to this property.

Quiet and relaxing

The house was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful manicured lawn. Terrific views of meadows and mountains from the property and horses in a pasture nearby. House had everything you would need for a nice weekend getaway. Only a couple of negatives…if a hot tub is advertised either in the amenities list or implied by pictures of the property on VRBO website then the hot tub should be in working order when guests arrive. If it is out of service for any reason then guests should receive an email or text letting them know. This has been a recurring issue with VRBO properties we have rented. While the non functioning hot tub did not greatly diminish our visit, it is deceitful to advertise a non functioning amenity. My brother has a disease that greatly affects his muscle tissue so he becomes exhausted and weak after walking almost any amount. A hot tub is an amenity we seek out during our family get togethers for that reason primarily. Another nice touch would be for any VRBO property that has a fireplace or fire pit to supply at least a minimum amount of firewood. On a quick weekend getaway, guests don’t want to be hunting down places that sell firewood, and often aren’t driving trucks to haul it in. With that said, Cypress Ridge is a beautiful and clean property that had plenty of room and mountain views to make for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
