Secluded cottage by the sea

It was exactly like we thought it would be from the description and prior reviews. Quaint, private and peaceful. Very short walk to the beach without having to cross the busy road. An unexpected bonus of fruit and bread welcomed us, and was much appreciated. We’d definitely stay again. I only wish I could give our airline and rental car company a good review.

Great time in a great location

This is the second time we stayed at this property. We love the location and the until is perfect for us. The bed was really nice as well. Had a great time and we are already planning our next trip

Wonderful beach retreat!

I expected something much smaller, but this cottage was very comfortable and spacious - but still cozy! Truly a short half-block walk to the beach, short and very scenic drive to all the St. Augustine attractions. I could easily move in tomorrow and live here forever!

Bombay Cottage

Very well decorated and comfortable cottage. All of our needs were met. Would recommend it for adults wanting privacy. The beach was very close but kind of hard to get to. Overall really enjoyed our stay, would come back again.

Perfect vacation

The pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice. It's really cute beach cottage, very close to the beach access. The bed was a bit hard, but not too bad. The kitchen was small but really nice. We had a really awesome time and we definitely will be thinking about another stay here next year

This property is just fantastic!! Close to the beach, short drive into St. Augustine historic district, beautiful facilities, thoughtful owners/property managers...everything we needed for an absolutely wonderful stay!! We'll be back!!

Love Nest for my Brother-in-Law

Big family event -- rented this single bedroom home for my BIL so he could have some privacy and teased him about his "Love Nest" the whole time. Unit was immaculate, location was great; we highly recommend.

Cozy and Convenient

We visit STA at least once a year and will be returning to this charming cottage on future trips. The cottage is secluded behind the other cottages making it a hideaway. There is lots of room and a very nice patio. Steps from the beach and yet convenient to everything. It was our first time staying at a VROB and we picked a winner. Scott is a 5 star host

Our Stay

Very pleased. Appreciated the host putting out some bread and butter and fruit to get us started after a long ride from Tennessee. Would love to repeat next year; perhaps for a longer stay. We enjoyed the town as well and would like to explore it further. The beach was beautiful. Just what my wife needed to unwind.

Nice, relaxing stay

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this place. Everything was as described on line. Parking was definitely a little tight but, we quickly worked it out with our neighbors and never had problem. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing few days. The location was great. Everything we needed was provided. Never met the host because we didn’t need too. (I’m sure he would have been there had we needed anything).We received check in directions and were left alone, which is the way I prefer it. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a peaceful, laidback few days at the beach.

Wonderful stay, steps from the beach

This is an amazing property. The cottage itself is hidden just off A1A. The place is truly a couple's retreat with one bedroom, a huge bath and a well-appointed living room and dining nook. The best part for us was the private patio just off the tennis courts. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee or a late-night glass of wine as we ended our day of sightseeing. The beach is a short walk to the end of the street (less than a 1/2 a block), and it's a great place to watch a sunrise/sunset or just hang out and do a whole lot of nothing. We will definitely be booking this one again!

Wonderful & Secluded Beach Cottage

Loved this adorable beach cottage which is perfect for a 1 or 2 person relaxing week (or weekend) get away. I stayed a week but wished I made plans for two weeks. It is so much better than a hotel or typical condo. What you see online is what you get--so very nice, clean and comfortable with beautiful furnishings. Steps away to the beach and a very short drive to downtown St Augustine. Peter, one of the owners, greeted me and showed me around and there was even a basket of bread, Irish butter, fruit and popcorn which turned out to be just what I needed to start my vacation. So close to Publix for food shopping and lots of great restaurants. I was also steps away from family/friends staying in a condo at same time so was able to spend time with them. There are great restaurants right in Vilano Beach so you don't have to go over the bridge to town. Puccini's Pizza (next door to Publix) is great for a quick bite. Kingfish Grill on the Water was great and best of all was Cap's on the Water but warning--they open at 4pm during week and people start showing up at 3:30pm--that's how good it is. Vilano Beach has miles of beach to wander, a pier to sight dolphins and watch the local fishermen. Will definitely be back next time I decide to visit Vilano Beach!! Marie C.

Excellent cottage and location!

The property was exactly as advertised. Cute, comfortable and all the amenities needed for my stay. The full kitchen was a wonderful plus as I was able to go to the grocery store [3 minutes away) and pick up food and drinks to cut down on eating out for every meal. The entire place was perfect for me and the location couldn't be better. It is literally a 2 minute walk down a dead end road to Vilano beach. It is close to just about everything and only a few minutes drive to the downtown historical area. The check in was easy and Scott was very prompt on providing me with all the information I needed when I arrived. I would 100% recommend this beach cottage to any single or couple traveling to St. Augustine for a relaxing beach-centered holiday.
