About this property

Gorgeous Lakeside Chalet

Property is located on a small float plane sized lake off the Denali Highway on a private drive. Enjoy fishing, boating or just relaxing at your own boat launch and beach on this 3 acres gem. After your daily venture, relax on the deck, barbecue or jump in the hot tub. No matter what you do, you will always find yourself gazing in awe of the scenery. Prime Berry picking, Wildlife viewing with hiking or strolling right out your door. 15 Miles to Carlo Creek, 20 miles to the Grizzly and Denali National Park, with Glitter Gulch just to the north. Activities include Rafting, Flight seeing, Hiking, Northern lights(mid August-Mid September), Fishing, Hunting, dog sledding, the 135 mile Denali Highway or Denali National Park. Local guides and tours available or self guided. When booking please do not leave a day that is non-bookable on either side of your stay. If you do, we may call you and see if you can adjust your vacation plans or we may not be able to rent. We only have approximately 115 days that we can possibly book and if every guest left a day or two on either side that is un-bookable, we could potentially lose out on half our season. Thank you for your consideration.

Beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and close to Denali National Park and Talkeerna. The owner was very responsive to my inquiries. I would recommend this property if you are looking to travel to that area.

Beautiful, Clean, and Cozy!

Our whole group was very impressed with this rental. Kelly made check in very easy and was very quick and helpful to answer any questions we had. The house was spotless upon arrival and immediately felt like home. The location was great and very peaceful. About 30 minutes from Denali National Park and right off of the scenic Denali highway. I’d stay here again in an instant!

Beautiful, peaceful home near Denali

My parents, husband, and I had a wonderful stay! This property is perfect for those wanting to explore Denali National Park and stay in a peaceful location away from the cruise ship hotels. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and we loved the hot tub. We also appreciated being able to use the washer/dryer. Would definitely return!

Home base for Denali

This home was perfect for our time spent at Denali National Park... the kitchen had everything we needed and the home was clean, cozy and had plenty of room for our group of 4 to spread out. Waking up to the views everyday really spoiled us. The weather wasn't ideal our first 2 days to get a good view of Denali but on day 3 when we were leaving, we were able to see it from the top deck, and then again on our drive back south. Definitely recommend this home for your stay!

We had a very nice clean house. The pantry had just the right amount of few items to start breakfast and enjoy the quite morning. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely book again. thanks for a pleasant stay

Denali getaway

This property had all the amenities you would want to experience a relaxing vacation in Alaska. The proximity to Denali National park was very convenient and allowed for easy day trips. Then returned to relax in the hot tub with mountain views, campfire under the midnight sun, paddle boat on the tranquil Lake.Highly recommend!!

We loved this rental. The house was very clean, kitchen was perfect w/ everything we needed to make family meals. We spent a lot of time exploring, did a hike to Jack River, spent a day in Denali and enjoyed a rafting trip. Would love to visit again some day!

Amazing Mountain Home

We so enjoyed the beautiful views and we were blessed with a clear view of Denali! The home is comfortable and roomy. The grandkids loved the hottub and the paddle boat.

Close to all the action with beautiful views

We loved this mountain view property. The house had everything we needed, beautiful view of the lake and mountains and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Plus, it was close to all the Denali activities. We'd definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

Denali bucket list trip

We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside chalet. 3 guys on a bucket list trip to Alaska. Very nice place that met all of our needs. Great view out the window to a spectacular Lake. The house has a lot of amenities. All of us would recommend staying here.

Quiet and Secluded with Great Views

On the water with mountain views all around. The house was well stocked and clean and we would definitely stay here again. One thing to be prepared for is that the house is not set up to keep out the midnight sun. However, the host did provide sleeping masks which helped.

Amazing property

This property is truly amazing. The views of the mountains are all around you, I have never seen anything like it. As far as the amenities, the owner has all the little things provided that save you a lot of money trying to buy things at the store. Kelly is awesome.

Utopia at Denali

There really are no worthy words for this place. If you plan to visit Denali you can rent this home with absolute confidence. It was positively immaculate and lacked nothing. My wife and I have VRBO’d all over North America and have never had a more satisfying experience. We both work like dogs in the lower 48 and needed a place to decompress and see this part of Alaska. We found it with this rental. The only real mistake we made was not making the stay a couple of days longer. Thank you for your hospitality and the opportunity! When they open the entire road in the park in 2025 we will be back!

we had a great time in Alaska. This home has a beautiful location and is well appointed. After a long day of hiking and adventures the hot tub is exactly what you need! Great views from everywhere in the house! Highly recommended location to stay, we would definitely go back.

Denali

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. My wife and I stayed here with another couple for six days. We loved it from the time we arrived. We spent most of our time in Denali National Park which is only about 30 minutes from here. Our host, Kelly was very helpful and easy to work with from check in to check out. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable with amazing views. We especially enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and viewing the mountains. This was our first trip to Alaska traveling from Wisconsin, and we would definitely come back here if we’re fortunate enough to visit Alaska again. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting this area.

How did we meet, Kelly had a job in Southeast Alaska 1991, I worked as a Ticket Agent. His work company would freight just about everyday, we started to chat and out on a date it was year 1991, we have been married since 1992.
We both enjoy our family time with our 3 wonderful children and enjoy our time with our 7 grandkids, Alaska will always be our home.

We feel this is one of the last remote get a way's left on the road system that has all the amenities of a big city. Whether you see moose, bears, caribou, sheep, the spectacular scenery, the 135 mile Denali highway or find yourself enjoying the lake at your doorstep, you will know you have found a special place in Alaska.

In the event your dates are booked, we have another VRBO at Mile post 229.5 miles of the Parks Highway within a mile of the southern entrance to Denali National Park. You may check this property out as well. It is called "Log Home on Denali Airstrip."
