Great place on 66

Amazing place, amazing location, amazing accommodations! We were traveling across country and stopped here for the night. Our only regret is that we did not have enough time in this area. We will certainly be back!

Wonderful stay right on 66

We were very comfortable for the duration of our week in the house. The hosts thought of everything when it comes to comfort. I highly recommend staying here. The area is older and Rt66 is actively working on revitalizing the area. I never felt anything but safe and secure while at the Hubbel House.

Great place

Just needed an overnight stay while traveling. This was the perfect place. The home has lots of space, great furnishings, very clean. The washer/dryer was a huge plus. If we’re headed through Amarillo again, this will be our “go to” place.

House on Historic Route 66

This is a very nice, older duplex with everything you need. Very large bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the motorcycle traffic up and down Historic Route 66 was quite oud and surprisingly busy until after 10 or so PM when things settled down. Meme’s D.O.C. was a great place for breakfast and the GoldenLight Cafe & Cantina was a great place for burgers. Both are very close.

All the comforts of home in Amarillo

We were impressed with how clean the property was and the attention to detail. The kitchen had all the necessities to prepare a meal. The bed was very comfortable. It was very hot in Amarillo during our stay but the A/C worked great. We would definitely stay there again.

Great space

Two tvs to accommodate. Check in perfection. Door access. If you have knee problems there are 3 steps at the door and the tub is high (tall) no grab bars. If you are tall and enjoy baths….. this is the place for you!!!!!! Longgggg tub 😊. Owner communication was practically immediate. Five stars for sure!!!!!!!!

We only stayed a single night…

…but we totally enjoyed the place. Beds were comfy and a nice little enclosed patio to let the dog out. The area had a lot of dining choices and we were pleased to visit some of the local ‘haunts’ on RT 66. Although the house sits on the highway, it is not noisy and the traffic is slowed due to low speed limits heading into the old town area. Bedrooms are in the back so even what little traffic there is at night was not bothersome. We didn’t even notice it. We will stay again!

Nice duplex right on Route 66. House was cute and clean. If you want complete silence, this is not the house for you but the noise is not crazy and we slept great.

Pleasant place, just as described. Clean and updated nicely. Owner responded quickly to inquiries. That was appreciated. Only stayed one night as we were just passing through on a road trip to Sedona, and California. Very easy to find from Interstate.

Unexpected neighborhood, but festive and cozy inside

We arrived when it was dark on a chilly Christmas Day, so some of the homes nearby looked a bit run down. But when we entered the home, a lit up Christmas tree and a warm (literally) atmosphere greeted us. Very clean. Thoughtful and helpful details throughout: labeled lightswitches and tv remotes; new sealed toothbrushes if needed; laundry detergent; dispensers with liquid shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our doggies loved the fenced backyard. A very comfy, relaxing stay. Thank you!

Stinky

Love that it's dog friendly. However, probably need to get rid of rugs or anything that can't be washed. The smell of urine covered up with the smell of the cleaner Fabuloso was super overwhelming and gave me a head ache.

1st Timer

This was my family's first time in Amarillo and the first time using VRBO. We were in town for a softball tournament. The families that stood at hotels had some kind of negative experience but ours was great. It was nice to have room for the kids so we didn't get too tired of each other. It was like being home away from home. The house was clean, comfy and had all the amenities we needed.
