Little Peak Creek Farm has had the, Farm House cabin on Home Away #376235 for 6 years and has had rave reviews. Be sure to check out that listing as well as it is on the same property. Now the owners have created a FANTASTIC TREE HOUSE cabin on an additional 25 acres that were added to the farm to complete 72 acres of the most beautiful mountain land in Ashe County ,NC. The TREE HOUSE is an adventure for the senses and is packed with artistry and charm! The farm land offers endless hiking .The friendly farm animals (which all have a story )love attention and will give you all the time you would like to pet and love on them! There are dogs, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, turkeys and ducks! t You can gathering your own eggs from the Gypsy Chick Inn , the gypsy wagon where the chickens live.
There are a number of outdoor activities close by including horseback riding, canoeing , kayaking or tubing and there is endless fishing on the New Riveror just a couple of miles away is the Ashe County Wildlife Club lake and you can fish there.. There are 2 golf courses in the county and the charming town of West Jefferson is only 15 minutes away. Rent horses at Hidden Pastures Trails and the whole family can ride on 2 hour guided trips through the mountains.
The owners are artists and creative individuals that constantly work at improving their farm for their guests enjoyment. The TREE HOUSE was designed and completed by the owners and the post and beams used for construction were from pines harvested on the farm. Many of the materials were reclaimed from salvage stores or from antique shops .
The tree house always has a sunset as the owner is a stained glass artist and has created 3 pieces that hang together rendering a stunning progression of sunset in the mountains. There is original art and handmade pieces throughout that accent the, one room, 24x24 space ,tastefully.
An old apple tree stump has been made into the bathroom sink and the claw foot tub is positioned in front of a spectacular view for a restful relaxing bath.
The wood stove heats the tree house and has a lovely view of the fire while you look out the windows that surround you from every side . One full wall of windows allows you to view the forest from floor the ceiling. The TREE HOUSE will leave you with wonderful memories of a magical stay in the cool breezes of the mountains. Amazing!

This was our second time here and we absolutely love the treehouse and the property. It is such a beautiful place, quiet, secluded, peaceful. Thankful to have experienced it and hope to be able to return again!

Amazing Holiday Stay -- Gorgeous, Festive, Fun For Active Families and dogs

We brought our two kids and high-energy dog and had a blast exploring the property and surrounding area. Since we arrived on Christmas Eve, Lisa even asked if we would like a tree with ornaments we could use to decorate. We loved this beautiful treehouse filled with fine art details--stained glass, whimsical light fixtures, and all around stunning craftsmanship. Extraordinary home and setting! Thanks for sharing this with us!! We are already planning to return.

Perfect holiday getaway

Our family has a tradition of going to the mountains of NC over the winter holidays, and getting off the grid a bit to relax and unwind. Every year we try to find a different place to stay just to have a unique experience, but we may have to make an exception and come back to the Treehouse on the farm. The cabin is absolutely perfect. The decor is beautiful and you can see that a lot of work and love went into creating this space (it's even better than the pictures). The location is just what we were after—away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by beautiful mountain views and lots of hiking opportunities. The furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the uniqueness of the treehouse makes it very cozy and special. And our two kids couldn't get enough of visiting the animals on the farm. The weather got pretty cold during our stay, but the wood stove kept us plenty warm and just added to the ambience. (There is also a space heater and a gas fireplace in the bathroom to help out with warmth). The hosts provided plenty of firewood for us, even checking in to make sure we had enough and delivering more during our stay. The treehouse delivers a private, cabin-style experience in the woods, yet is also remarkably clean and comfortable. We can't wait to come back!

Charming cabin!

Comfy beds, lovely back porch with great views. Every cooking utensil that one could need. I learned to operate a wood stove when needed and loved bringing in wood. At 81 that’s was my challenge!! So many artistic touches the chandelier was my favorite. Had many laughs over navigating the road up the mountain…Wish for a 4 wheel drive but just turn up the music and go! Very restful and fun.

Treehouse on the Farm

My grandkids and I had a fabulous time! We loved the location of the treehouse in the woods and look forward to a return visit. The decor and amenities are outstanding and we cant wait to share this experience with other family members!

Perfect solitude

We needed a get away weekend, and this location was perfect! Quiet, beautiful views, we saw deer a few times, just great place to relax and get away from all the business.

Charming and Rustic Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend away in this beautifully charming treehouse in the woods. You can tell a lot of love went into making this treehouse look beautiful and give you all the cozy feels. Our only negative experience was that while the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating, none of the chairs or the sofa felt very comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time. We longed for a cozy place to sit so we could better enjoy the surrounding beauty. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience!

Relaxation amid Nature

Amazing!

You can definitely feel the love that went into this space. Lisa and Stephen built an amazing treehouse, and the whole property is very special. It's very unique and well crafted, with a lovely view of the mountains through the trees. It's rustic yet also very comfortable and cozy. The clawfoot tub and fire stove make it especially relaxing.

Tree House was everything that we expected and more!

The host Lisa was great! Awesome property, very relaxing location with great mountain views and endless hiking! The accommodations had everything that you could need for a stress free vacation. The farm was enjoyable and all the farm animals were very friendly. We look forward to a return visit.

Anfitrión: Stephen Willingham

Mark Stephen Willingham and his wife, Lisa have been in the area for over 40 years. They met and married within 2 weeks in 1975 and moved to the mountains to begin their lives together. They lived in a 1911 farm house for 30 years and bought the farm in 2007. Stephen's creativity and determination transformed the farm every year. Sadly Stephen passed away in December 2024. Lisa is continuing to make the farm as special as Stephen's dream and honors his legacy by seeing that it grows in such a way as to make him proud.
