Beautiful home-great views

We had a wonderful time, it was a home away from home with everything needed to create great memories. We enjoyed relaxing at the house with wonderful views and sitting by the fire pit. Great location to visit Zion, Bryce Canyon and enjoy exploring Grand Staircase Escalante on UTV’s. Beautiful home - great memories!!

Simply perfect

The location is perfect for going to Bryce, Zion and kanab with a store nearby. Loved so much about this place including: the floor plan, windows/views, quiet, clean, well stocked, and Kim was quick to respond to questions. I can’t think of anything i would have wanted different. Thank you for the great trip. All of us had a excellent stay.

Cozy Quiet Cabin

Our family stayed 4 nights in this cabin when we visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. We wanted a place nearly equidistant and the location of this cabin was perfect. Bryce Canyon is a 45 minute drive and Zion 75 minute drive. The cabin is in a quiet and sparsely populated area. Downstairs has living room, laundry room, kitchen, and one bathroom. Upstairs has 3 rooms and a bathroom. The cabin is far from any major store so you need to come prepared. The kitchen is well stocked to make meals. We ended up going to a store every day (that is mainly our poor planning) but I was still glad to get this cabin as opposed to something closer to one of the cities. The front yard has a fire pit which we appreciated to prepare our smores. Various families of elk and wild turkeys (I believe they were wild) visited almost on a daily basis. Internet is decent, we were able to get the streaming services (we brought our apple TV device). There are some DVDs and games available if you don't have these services. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin for other other families.

Great spot for National Parks adventures

The cabin was well appointed and was clean and comfortable for our group. The house was a perfect spot between Zion and Bryce Canyon NPs. We even managed a foray to Capitol Reef. We had a couple questions about the operation of the air conditioning which was quickly answered and addressed. We enjoyed a visit from a small family of deer and some beautiful summer night skies. Great experience.

All the comforts of home

The cabin has all the comforts of home including coffee filters, ziplock bags, COOLERS, and shampoo/soaps. We stopped at a store before checking in to get groceries but didn't need the stuff mentioned above. (We left what we didn't use for the next guests! ;) We loved the front porch where you can watch deer in the early evening and drink your coffee with the sun shining on you in the cool mornings while hearing the birds chirp their hearts out. We had enough beds for our 6 kids and a big king bed for ourselves. The mini split air conditioners in all the bedrooms were great to keep the rooms cool, but in the evenings we loved to open all the windows for a bit to get a great cool mountain cross breeze going through. We loved the fire pit and used it a couple of times as well as the grill. We were 45 mins from Bryce Canyon, an hour from Zion and 2 ish hours away from Lake Powell where we rented a boat. Don't quote me on the exact distances because I had the privilege riding shotgun and looking at the scenery while my husband drove. ;) Overall it was a great place to stay that felt like home and we treated it as such. Hiking most of the time our clothes were super dusty so we did laundry quite frequently and now I don't have to do any when we get home. Anything you need- the house has it. I highly recommend staying here. We made a lot of memories with our adult and teenage/tween kids!

Fantastic family vacation

This was the perfect central place to stay for our adventures! We rented e-bikes near Bryce and rode to Red Canyon; spent one day at Zion; explored Navajo Lake, Cascade Fall, Ice Cave, Aspen Mirror Lake, and Duck Creek Village; spent a day at Bryce Canyon and went to the Rodeo after dinner; did the Belly of the Dragon, Sand Caves, and took an UTV tour (with sand surfing) to Peekaboo Canyon, ate in Kanab. Loved coming back to a very comfortable home each evening! Kitchen, living, and dining room were just right. Beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated that all soaps and detergents were provided. Owners responded to questions immediately. Highly recommend this property!

Peaceful Area

This cabin was in a peaceful area about 45-60 minutes from Zion, Bryce, and Pink Coral Sand Dunes, as well as many other trails. It was a great base camp with a nice set up. The house was clean and well maintained with a great gas fireplace-perfect for the colder months. As stated in the description, the roads were snowy and icy in March, so expect it take take longer to get from Cedar City to the cabin in the winter. We enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent house

The house is very well furnished and located for exploration of Zion and Bryce Canyon. The house had a lot of extras like spices, coffee filters, dishwasher and laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner and garbage bags making our stay and logistics less stressful. There is nice outside space to spread out into as well. We were six adults and we were very comfortable. I highly recommend this house!

Amazing property!

What a gem! We have visited Utah several times, but this was our first time in southern Utah. The property was extremely clean, well maintained, offered all the necessities, and is in a great location. We had a medical emergency while visiting and the local EMS and Kanab ER were wonderful. The property is situated centrally to several parks. We were able to visit Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, and several hidden gems thanks to the locals and great resource binder found at the property. We will definitely stay again!

Great place and great location

Firstly, the land around the properly is full of wildlife. At one time, I counted 24 deer in view including 3 bucks and the next morning we saw a couple Bull Elk as well. Second, The location itself is about the best spot you can get in my opinion between Zion and Bryce. There's also easy access to Cedar Breaks (don't miss drive up to Brian Head Peak) and other destinations. Don't forget Grand-Staircase Escalante. There's some very interesting things to see there. The property is super easy to access. There's a gas station near by, but you'll have to drive an hour to the closest Walmart or grocery store.. that's just how Utah is. Lastly, the 4 bedroom, 2 bath cabin itself is great. Very comfortable, includes air conditioning also, but we didn't need it in the later part of September. The only small downside I could find is the firestation right next door likes to leave lights on all night. Really only an issue if you want the best view of the stars and the milky way at night, but you wouldn't have to drive far to get a fantastic view of the sky. We could totally see ourselves coming back here again.

Great Vacation House for Visiting Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon!

This house has everything you need. It’s clean, spacious, plenty of big fluffy towels and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils etc. We made several meals for our family during our stay and had many deer grazing in the yard in the evenings. The location is right between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon so the drive to each is easy. The owners communicated promptly and made our stay very enjoyable.

About the host

Hosted by Kim Stevens

Host profile image
We currently live in Northern Utah, but also lived in Massachusetts for several years. Our sons are active in hockey, and as part of that we travel to several tournaments each year. For sports and also for our other travel, we started staying in vacation rentals whenever possible. We enjoy having more comforts of home than hotels have to offer.

Why they chose this property

We first stayed in the area in 2016 on our way to the Grand canyon. We enjoyed our stay and kept coming back to camp and go 4-wheeling. We eventually decided to purchase this home for a vacation rental. We have enjoyed our time in Southern Utah and getting to know the area and the locals.

What makes this property unique

We are an outdoor loving family! All of the nearby National and State parks, and the ATV trails drew us to this place. We have enjoyed the beauty that surrounds Duck Creek and the Cedar Mountain area. We hope you enjoy it too!
