The house itself is nice - 2 BR/2Bath. Good, quiet location.
However, a few dollars well spent would make it all the nicer.
There were a few amenities missing: a toaster for your English Muffin in the morning, and a blender for your Pina colada in the evening. The master bathroom showerhead needs replacing as it does not diffuse the water, just emits a steady stream. Also it is too high to adjust. The shower could also use a soap dish and while you are at it, a grab bar or two would be a nice asset.
We had no idea how to turn on the TV in the bedroom - and no instructions either. Finally we spoke with her and she explained,. She told us the "house manual" was on line on the VRBO website, but neither my friend nor I could find it. The TV in the living room did not work at all,
Jennifer advised she has a cleaning person, which is all well and good, but she really needs someone to act as a "Manager" between visits, as someone should be sure everything is working properly for the next guest.
There were plenty of bed and bath linens, and a washing machine, too. So that was nice.
We bought a few things for the house, a step stool so we could reach high places, some matches for the candles she had around, and toilet paper which was in short supply in the house.
I realize that Casa Menta is not a 5 star luxury hotel, but for under $500 it could be much more user friendly.
I would not plan to return.
