Located in the Dogtooth Estates, let this custom designed, amenity filled home be your retreat at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Brand new and fully equipped, this stunning chalet boasts 6 bedrooms all featuring en-suite bathrooms to comfortably sleep 14 guests. There are three living areas; the first with a custom fir pool table; the second, a media room with flat screen TV; and the third with a 2 sided wood burning fireplace.

Each living space is furnished with oversized couches and chairs, unique contemporary artwork and finished off with drapes and cushions in earthy hews which add comfort and warmth. Other features include; geothermal hydronic radiant heat warming the slate floors, the home, and your feet; stained concrete counter tops, top end appliances, large dining table, hot tub with waterfall , back door access to the cross country ski trails and large picture windows opening to stunning views of the snow capped peaks. Ski family spot!!! 100%

A group of friends with kids, very roomie. Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Lots of room to spread out kitchen is excellently stocked and they leave condiments and spices there for you to use . place is very comfortable. Not too fancy.

Good stay in Golden

My large family group loved our stay in this home. Each bedroom has an adjoining bathroom which was a real treat after staying in smaller accomodations for the beginning of our trip. The house is spacious and well taken care of for the most part. The house is a bit out of the way of actual downtown Golden, but we enjoyed the drive up the mountain each day coming back. Only complaint is that many of the bathroom windows did not have curtains and so when showering it felt that the neighbors could look in on us. Curtains in the rooms did not always work or were jammed when we got there. The host had good communication wjth our family and answered al pur questions. We definitely would want to stay again!

Beautiful!

This is a beautiful upscale home. Every room is spacious and luxurious. Every bedroom is an en-suite, the kitchen has everything you need, and there are several living areas to spread out in. The location is quiet and convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. The view is spectacular. Golden has a number of good shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Ski Trip

We had a great time staying here. The house is in a great location, just a short walk to ski to the lifts and an easy ski home. The house is large with a great kitchen. There was more than enough space for our group. We will definitely book here again if/when we come back to KHMR.

A wonderful place to stay with our family. It fit all of us (13) with space to spare. The kitchen work well for our Thanksgiving/Christmas gathering. The games room, ie pool table was used by everyone. It is our plan to return next year.

Canadian Rocky Outdoor Adventure

3 families with young adult children.. we all had a great time in the spacious house and huge super well stocked kitchen. with so much room, and bathrooms with every bedroom, we had all the privacy needed. loved the hot tub. went biking with a neighbor/local who showed us great trails. kept busy with all the outdoor activities available (hiking, biking, golf, via ferrata, white water rafting and saw Boo the bear...) 15 min drive to Golden. 1 hour to Lake Louise. be aware of Hwy 1 closures at night - during weekdays. House was Awesome!!

Great Family Lodging

We were 4 adult couples that stayed at the property in mid-June. We found the property to be very nice and roomy and well appointed (from kitchen/grilling utensils, towels for the hot tub, high-chair and safety gates for children, to even hand-knit foot coverings at the front door if you wanted to use them). The beds were all very comfortable (and our parents who are in their 80's and often have issues with beds and their backs even thought they were very good). Neighborhood was quiet and backyard is private. The only "issues" we encountered were fairly insignificant - namely a) curtains in pool room/doors to the grill were jammed and couldn't be opened and thus had to simply be pushed aside, b) toilet seats didn't sit well on the stool and would shift a little startling a person, and c) getting live TV was doable, but difficult to navigate. We found Gabriel (owner of the property) to be very responsive and available throughout the entire booking/stay.

Beyond Expectations!

This house was absolutely gorgeous. It was clean, open, fully stocked and had more than enough space for three families with kids to spread out. We used the kitchen everyday to cook meals, the hot tub to relax after hiking, the great room to play cards and do puzzles, and the theater room to play movies for the kids. We even took advantage of the location and used the nordic trail system for runs. We will be back!

Lovely property for myself and seven friends. House was very clean with everything you could want for cooking meals and relaxing and unwinding. Instructions were very helpful. Beds were super comfortable, everyone slept great! Having a fireplace for cool evenings was so nice to wind down by.

Friends Trip

We are a group of empty nester couples who enjoy each other’s company but with many varied interests. This was our second weeklong trip together and we loved this home. It was spacious, well provisioned for the cooks among us, and in a perfect location. Everything about the home and the town of Golden was terrific. I have stayed with my family and my friends in many VRBOs over the past 10 years - this was one of the finest. Thank you!

Perfect ski vacatoin

This house was fantastic. Great location, tons of room, well stocked kitchen, and hot tub in addition to other perks. Perfect place to wind down after skiing. Our group mixed it up with skiing days at Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, and CMH Heli-skiing out of CMH Purcell in Golden BC. You won’t be disappointed!

Great stay in Golden

This vacation property is great for big families or multiple group vacations. The six bedrooms all having en suites is fantastic!! The kitchen is setup with nearly everything you need. Such a great layout!! The pool table and large dinner table were fantastic for game nights. The hot tub was a nice addition and use of the large garage came in handy. The only thing I'd like to see is some better maintenance on the house. Some shower faucets didn't work well, wall damage not repaired, garage door openers don't work, the fridge ice machine didn't work well and the hot tub is very dated. The house could use a general repair person to go in and fix things up a bit. All in all, an awesome setup in a massive house with many accommodations. Highly recommended!!

Great place to stay!

Well appointed; great kitchen; generous sized bedrooms; nice two way fireplace, hot tub and game/pool room; Ski in convenience; uphill walk of maybe a hundred meters to ski out was only drawback. We would definitely stay here again.

Slice of Paradise!

Our large family enjoyed Thanksgiving on the mountain at KHMR! It's an all ages crowd pleaser, wonderful views, well stocked kitchen, beautiful nature walks, hot tub, etc. We organized family photos as well, what a beautiful backdrop.....scenery is gorgeous! While the property is exactly as it appears in the listing, a few extra touches would have been nice, such as, board games, DVD library, sports channels on the TV, extra fride / freezer for the garage, etc. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you can imagine, and the living areas are wonderful for large families like ours (14 ppl). All the kids loved spending time at the property and nobody wanted to leave. All in all, a fantastic stay! We will return, many thanks to the owners and to Gabriel, he was very easy to deal with and very attentive.
