Had a wonderful time in a quiet and private location.
The set up is perfect to hang out, go golfing, fishing, tubing, etc...
Property manager was great at communicating throughout
This is a large, beautiful house in Truckee that fit two families with kids. It has five bedrooms with plenty of room for everyone and is just 20 minutes from Northstar. The big backyard was great for playing in the snow. The kitchen was really well stocked and the driveway had parking for multiple cars. The kids really enjoyed the bunkroom and the two primary suites were really spacious. The owner was really helpful and quick with communication. Check in/out was a breeze. Thanks for a great stay with great memories!
First, with my family and I being in real estate, we definitely appreciated the fine detail throughout the home. From the fixtures in the bathrooms down to the grout and plumbing finishes, we could not spot any defects. We've stayed in this community before so are familiar with the area. Quiet neighborhood and within close proximity to stores, restaurants and Northstar. Like other reviewers have mentioned, William is very accommodating and easy to work with, especially while traveling with a toddler and baby. No complaints.
This property was a great location and beautiful home. Upon arrival the house could have been cleaned a little more but the accommodations were very nice. The house did get fairly warm during the day with not being able to draw the shades in the living room but opening the windows at night helped. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
This house was perfect for our family/friends getaway. The house is very well appointed, incredibly comfortable and large enough to accommodate several families comfortably. The back deck serves as the perfect location to kick back, read a book, work or host the perfect dinner. One word of caution, there are some rather large pines nearby and we ruined a few pairs of pants sitting on sap on the wall that surrounds the firepit. Plan accordingly! Otherwise, perfect stay.
The house was wonderful and well appointed. The kitchen was amazing and the central point of congregating. The owner manages this property and was super easy to deal with. I felt more like I was borrowing a home from a friend rather than renting from a property management company or paranoid owner. He was super hands-off but helpful when I had questions. The golf course setting was beautiful. We really appreciated the location. It seemed like everywhere we wanted to go was no more than 20 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again and wish all owners we rented from took notes from this owner.
Cozy retreat in a beautiful neighborhood located just a short distance away from skiing and snowboarding. My family travelled with two children under the age of 4 and the owner was always responsive and very accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend this property.
Had a wonderful time at this home! Everything was well kept. Will be returning again in the future. My wife left a couple items and they shipped them back to us at no cost shortly after, that was greatly appreciated.
The house is great for a group (buddies golf trip) and offered amenities and layout conducive to fun and camaraderie. I slept in the in-law apartment above the garage. Only opportunity is to put some kind of TV in that location... We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this property.
This house is great! Clean, comfortable, great layout. If you ever get the opportunity- book this house! We had a wonderful time enjoying mother nature and a nice dumping of fresh powder.
This home was stunning, had everything we needed, and was very comfortable for our family getaway. Location was excellent for easy access to multiple activities and beautiful walking trails right out the back door. Host was very accommodating and helpful.
Hope to get back here some time soon.
Highs: Overall property condition is excellent. Kitchen is industrial-sized and extremely well stocked. Master suite is massive and private. Outdoor deck is spacious and the fire pit is awesome. Internet and TV worked well. A really nice layout for 8 or so guests but can comfortably handle more.
Lows: 2 of the 5 bedrooms, especially the bunk room, are tight with no closets and no private bath. House is not air-conditioned. Blinds in great room not operable locally. We had to contact the owner whenever we wanted the blinds opened or closed (he was very responsive). The locks are tricky. Try the side door if you can’t get in the front.
We really liked the house and would stay again. This is a premium propoerty though and the little details do matter.
I’ve rented a few properties at Old Greenwood over the years and so far so good. Just a beautiful location for a golf or ski trip. Bill was very responsive to my questions. Place is clean and easily housed 6 (adults) of us for our annual golf trip. Very comfortable and convenient place. Thanks
We had a great time during our stay at Old Greenwood. There were 6 adults and 4 children. The house worked well for us. Outside area was great for the kids to play and the adults especially enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings.

Home for the Week
We enjoyed our stay here very much and would stay again. The location is perfect. The house is beautiful yet inviting and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied. It should be noted the main master bedroom is the only bedroom downstairs, all other rooms are upstairs and the guest house is over the garage (We have a family member who has health issues and their bedroom being upstairs was a challenge for them). There is a nice walking trail which goes along the golf course behind the house. There is also a shuttle which takes one into Northstar Village. The televisions in bedrooms do not work (it is my understanding they are in the process of removing them), but the living room television works fine. We had some questions during our stay, and the owner responded quickly. Gas fireplaces worked well and actually threw off quite a bit of heat. Round dining table was good for eating and great for games. The beds were comfortable too. Really, I can't think of anything I didn't like about the place. I've stayed in several vacation homes which were elegant, but not inviting, and lacked a homey feeling. This property felt like home for the week. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
