Our hosts went above and beyond to help us have a place to stay for a family emergency. They are very responsive and helpful. The property is lovely and secluded! Would recommend.

Awesome place for two families
I loved the place. It was calm and serene and loved the natural beauty. Moreover, Denise, the property manager was very helpful and showed us everything we needed. It is close to Cape Charles beach. Chincoteage island is just about an hour away. Thanks Connie for being so courteous and answering all our queries and clarifying all our doubts. And surely, the perfect blend of antique charm and modern conveniences in that house.

Perfect Vacation
We absolutely loved this little farmhouse! What a great escape for anyone looking for a little peace and quiet. It's an easy drive to Cape Charles and it doesn't take long to get to Chincoteague, either. Denise, the property manager, took care of the lone electrical issue immediately. The AC went out the first night, and was fixed by noon the next day. I only wish the tv was louder, if I had to pick an issue. The internet access was fast and secure. Overall, the perfect blend of antique charm and modern conveniences. Would gladly stay there again!

A Home far away
As we were looking for a cottage to stay four days in July, we found (among others) this beautiful home and sent an email to the owners. The respond came quickly with a full depiction of the area and detailed information about things to do and to see. This first contact with Bob and Connie made us understand at what point they were concerned with their hosts. It decided us to rent their home. In fact, this is not only a vacation rental, this charming old house is alive with antics furniture and strangely, those antics are vivid here, it is a family home and your family home for your stay. The front porch is an amazing place to rest and lull, if you are lucky (we’ve been) you’ll see a deer with its fawns at the rear of the house. The time is stopped when it occurs.
Thanks to Denise for your welcome and your help at our arrival. And thank you Bob and Connie for your assistance in our history researches and your answers to our numerous questions.

We found a bit' a home down south~
A womderful experience. A+ southern hospitality from Denise!!! The home was spotless and well maintained upon our arrival and photos in the listing show a true resemblence of the home. Our stay was excellent visiting Virginia Beach, Norfolk & Little Creek, Busch Gardens, Kiptopeake State Park (excellent crabbing), and my favorite the wild ponies~ (sure did help my fix of missing my horse back home!) PLUS the beach there was our favorite. After all our fun filled days we so enjoyed relaxing in the country setting, watching the deer and our new turkey friend who visited us every morning and night in the back yard! One evening there were 2 fawn about 15 ft from the front porch. Very peaceful setting. We loved our stay and would recommend this home to anyone we meet. Thanks Bob & Connie for offering it and allowing others to enjoy your gem !

This was a perfect settin...
This was a perfect setting for our anniversary! My husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the very charming country setting every evening -- especially rocking on the porch. Each day we ventured out on short trips to visit Kiptopeke State Park, Cape Charles, and other sites on the Eastern Shore.
The home was relaxing and enjoyable. We had everything we needed provided for us. We prepared wonderful seafood dinners in the charming country kitchen.
Thank you Bob and Connie for a wonderful and memorable trip! The champagne was an exquisite treat.
